Let's Go Camping!

What is the best way to go camping?

I love to go camping.  Some of my happiest days were spent living in a tent.

Sometimes, I went camping carrying nothing with me but a knife.  I could use the knife to make a shelter, start a fire, and make tools for foraging for food and catching fish.  (My brother David could one up me and not even take a knife.  He could make one from flint.)

I could make a comfortable bed using fallen leaves over a spot of soft dirt.  All I needed to keep insects away was some freshly cut cedar branches.

My hygiene needs were not hard to take care of.  I could go behind a bush to relieve my self.  I could dig a hole, take a squat, wipe with a large leaf, and then bury what came out.

In northwest Arkansas, it was not hard to find a clear pool in a running stream to bathe in.  I could also wash my clothes in that clear running stream, and then hang them on a tree branch to dry.  Sometimes, I would take a shower in a waterfall of a clear running stream.

Likewise, it was not hard to find clean drinking water.  The water at the top of these clear running streams was always safe to drink.

Of course, I mostly did this type of camping in fair weather.

In colder weather, I always took a lot more than a knife.  While I could build a shelter in the Winter, including a snow house (igloo) if there was snow, it was a lot harder than camping in the warmer weather.  If there was snow, then I needed pots and pans to melt the snow for water.  I had to bring in food, because there is very little food that can be foraged in the Winter.  I also make sure that I had a sleeping bag.  Of course, all of this stuff required a backpack to carry it in.

Most of the time, I went camping with a bunch of other men and boy in tents.  Sometimes, we would even camp in bunkhouse like we did at Camp Rudy.

Whenever I went camping with women, like my mother or my wife, we had to camp somewhere with a bathhouse and restrooms.  The needs of women are much more complicated than those of men.

Perhaps, that is why only men refer to some place that is thirty miles from the nearest indoor plumbing, as "The Great Outdoors".

In fact, one time I went camping with my wife and her entire family near Branson, Missouri.  This camping area was unusual in that we rented a small wooden hut with beds to sleep in.

Obviously, not all seasons are equally good for camping.  In the Ozarks, there is always the chance of being rained on during your entire camping trip in the Spring.  In the Summer, it can get uncomfortably hot, and you have to contend with bugs, snakes, and other wildlife issues.  In the Winter, it can be uncomfortably cold, and you have to deal with snow and ice.

The best season in the Ozarks is the Fall (Autumn).  The bugs are dying down, the nights are cooling down, and the rain showers are often short, when they occur.

The best part of the Fall is from the Fall Equinox to about five weeks later.  The bugs are pretty much gone, it is still warm enough to do things during the day, it is comfortable at night, and the cold weather has not moved in yet.  Whenever this time of year comes around, it makes me want to say, "Let's go camping!'.

I am not the only one who feels that way.  The Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD), who created this optimum time for camping, has made a celebration that revolves around camping for a week during this time of year.  He is saying to the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him), "Let's go camping!".

This celebration begins the fifteenth day of the month (close to the first full moon), of the first month whose fifteenth day occurs after the grape harvest is over in Israel (Deuteronomy 16:13).

(The grape harvest ends about the time of the Fall equinox.  The grape harvest can end a week earlier, if a year has ideal conditions like it did in 2017 AD.  However, there is no way to know if this rare event will occur in time to set the first month.  The first month must be determined before the grapes have even blossomed.  So, the first month of the year must be determined based on the normal end of the grape harvest.)

This celebration is called Sukkot (The Feast of Tabernacles) (Leviticus 23:34).  People go camping for a week (Leviticus 23:41-42).

This camping is unusual in that it was not meant to be done out in the wilderness.  It is meant to be done in the city of Jerusalem (Yerushalayim) whenever the Temple is standing there (Deuteronomy 16:15-17).

Although only men are required to go camping in Jerusalem, women and children are encouraged to come as well (Deuteronomy 16:14).  The more complex needs of women and children are not a problem - since they are camping in a city!

The Rabbis have many traditions about how this camping trip is to be conducted, both in the land of Israel and outside of the land of Israel.

First, they have requirements for the Sukkah (booth) that people are to live in during this urban camping trip. A Sukkah must meet the following requirements:

It must have three walls.  It must have at least 16 square cubits (about 48 square feet or 5 square meters) of floor space.  It must have a S'chach as a roof.

The walls must be at least two cubits high (about 3 feet or 1 meter).  The walls must be rigid enough to have minimal movement in normal winds.  The walls must form right angle corners.

The S'chach must be made of organic material that was not processed for a different use.  It must be thick enough to provide more shade than light in the Sukkah.  It must allow at least some of the stars to be seen when looking up through it at night.  It must allow rain to come into the Sukkah.   At least part of the s'chach must under the open sky.

The final requirement is that it be inspected by a Mashgiach (supervisor), usually a Rabbi, who will stamp it with a Hechsher (seal of approval aka Kosher mark), if it meets all of the requirements.

Second, people are required to spend at least part of each day in the Sukkah, usually at least eating a meal in it, unless it is raining.  People are not usually required to sleep in them.

Third, people are to treat the first day of Sukkot as a Sabbath, as well as the day after the camping ends - the eighth day.

Fourth, people are to treat the other days as Chol Hamoed (literally 'the appointment sand", but commonly referred to as "weekday holiday" or "secular holiday") which are considered half-holiday days.  Some work is permitted, particularly work that applies to keeping the festival, while other work, like doing the laundry, is not.  Going to work for pay is permitted, if the worker cannot take vacation.

Also, there is an extra Aliyot ("going ups") of reading of the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) in the synagogues during a Chol Hamoed.

Fifth, when the one of the Chol Hamoed is the weekly Sabbath, then the usual prohibitions of regular work apply like any other weekly Sabbath.  However, the order of the synagogue service is different than regular Sabbaths.  Also, the Sabbath meal (Oneg) is eating in the Sukkah.

Sixth, every day, except the Sabbath, the Four Species must be waived.

The Four Species consists of two parts:

The first part is a Lulav usually made by binding together a ripe, green, closed frond from a date palm tree, two branches with leaves from a willow tree, and three boughs with leaves from the myrtle tree.  The Lulav is bound together by strips of another palm frond that form a Hadasim.

The second part is the fruit of a citron tree, called the Etrog.  The Etrog is considered particularly holy, and will sometimes be kept in a silver casing called an Avarot, or a glass box.  Some Etrogs are examined with a jeweler eyepiece for flaws, like diamonds.  An exceptional Etrog can cost $500 or more.

Of course, a Mashgiach must inspect the Lulav and Etrog and place a Hechsher on the Lulav to show that they meet the requirements.

The Four Species are then used in a ceremony, called the Na'anu'im.  The Lulav is placed in one hand, and the Etrog in the other. Then a blessing, called the Shehecheyanu, is recited.  After that, the Lulav and Etrog are brought together, with both pointing away from the holder in the same way that they pointed away from the trees, from which they were taken.  Finally, they are gently shaken three times in each of the four directions (north, east, south, west), then upward and downward.

The Na'anu'im is part of the Synagogue services. It is accompanied with making a circuit with everyone carrying their Lulavs and Etrogs around the synagogue in a processional while reciting the Hashanot prayers.

The Na'anu'im can also be done in the home or Sukkah of an individual as well.  It is not done at all on the weekly Sabbath that falls during the Chol Hamoed.

Seventh, there are various other ceremonies that are not celebrated everywhere, but they usually are celebrated in Jerusalem. These include the Hakhel, held when Sukkot is at the end of a Sh'mita (Year of Release), the Simchat Beit HaShoevah, and the Hoshana Rabbah.

Is this really what the Father of Truth meant when He said, "Let's go camping!"?

The point of living in a Sukkah is to remind people that the descendants of Israel had to live in a Sukkah during their many years of wandering in the wilderness (Leviticus 23:41-43).

People slept, ate, played, worked, had sex, and gave birth in a Sukkah during this time.  They lived in a Sukkah through all four seasons.  They lived in a Sukkah through all kinds of weather.

A Sukkah obviously did not have one open side and leaky roof!

So what did a Sukkah look like?

The Hebrew words used do describe a Sukkah in the Book of Truth (The Bible) give a pretty good idea.

The Hebrew word "Sukkah" literally means, a booth made from interwoven leaves and branches.  The Hebrew root word that it comes from, is used to describe the dwelling place of wild lions.

A Sukkah was like a primitive shelter that is built when you go camping carrying only a knife.  Long, slender, and supple branches or vines are used to lash together thicker branches to form a basic frame.  More branches were lashed to the frame to form walls and a roof.  An opening was left in one wall to allow entrance into the shelter, and a door is formed that opens upward for that entrance.

The Sukkot, that they live in the wilderness, are also called, "tents" and "tabernacles" (Numbers 24:5).  The Hebrew word translated as "tents" literally means a nomad tent - a tent with walls and a roof made of thick cloth or animal skins that can be disassembled quickly for travel.  It is used numerous times of The Tabernacle, which had walls and a roof made of these materials that could be disassembled quickly for travel.  The Hebrew word translated as "tabernacles" is the same word used of The Tabernacle itself.

So a Sukkah had the same basic structure and shape as The Tabernacle.  It had a frame made of interwoven leaves and branches that was covered by thick cloth or animal skins.  These walls were on all four sides with an opening in the front wall to allow entrance into them.  They were rectangular in shape.  Their roofs were practically flat.

So, a finished Sukkah resembled a game booth at the arcade of a carnival.

If each Sukkah was the same height and width, then they could be organized in rows, the backs of two rows facing each other, to form a Sukkah block.  (The length of the Sukkah in the front could vary according to how many people lived in it.)  This would help each Sukkah in the Sukkah block to be made more stable by the other Sukkot in the block.  These Sukkah blocks could be spaced to put a street between blocks on all four sides.  Finally Sukkah blocks and streets could be arranged to form a Sukkah city.  There could be spaces scattered throughout a Sukkah city where the livestock could have been kept at night, similar to city parks.  This might have been the arrangement of the camp of each tribe of Israel in the wilderness (Numbers 1:52).

These booth shaped tents are what the people of Israel lived in during their time in the wilderness, when the Father of Truth told them, "Let's go camping!".

During Sukkot people are to gather four types of branches with leaves (Leviticus 23:39-40).  The best way to understand these four types of branches with leaves is to examine the Hebrew words in the list (Leviticus 23:40).

The first type was to be a fruit bearing bough of a highly esteemed tree.  Most of the branches from qualifying trees would not have fruit on them, since Sukkot begins after the fruit harvest is over (Leviticus 23:39).

The second type was to be the palm of a palm tree.  The idea of "the palm of a palm tree" is that the palm branch is to be wide open like a human palm with the fingers spread out.  (Hence the name "palm tree".)  No specific type of palm tree is given, so it could be a date palm or any other kind of palm tree.

The third type were to be a branch covered with smaller limbs that have dense interwoven foliage. Although branches of a myrtle tree would meet these requirements, these branches do not have to be from a myrtle tree to meet these requirements. These branches could be from any tree that has these types of branches, like an elm tree or a pine tree.

The fourth type was to be a branch of dark wooded trees with braided branches found near places were streams flow at least part of the year.  Although willow trees meets these requirements, they are not the only tree to do so.  Poplar trees also meet these qualifications, particularly the black poplar. (The black poplar is so named due to the darkness of its wood.)

What are people supposed to do with these four types of branches on Sukkot?

They are to use these branches to make a Sukkah (Nehemiah 8:14-15).  It is worth noting that olive branches were the fruit bearing boughs of highly esteemed trees, pine branches were the branches with covered with smaller branches and dense interwoven foliage, and that branches of thick trees were also used to build each Sukkah (Nehemiah 8:15).

So there is nothing in the Law of Truth about having a ceremony with the Four Species.  In particular, the citron tree, which bears the Etrog, is never even mentioned in the Book of Truth.  This fruit tree originated in Babylon, and was brought into the land of Israel after the Babylonian exile, just like the ceremonies involving the Four Species.

In fact, the Na'anu'im is a modified re-enactment of the processional that the Babylonians performed to honor their idols during their harvest festival in the month of Tishrei.  The wording and explanation of the symbolism was changed to point to the Father of Truth, instead of Tammuz, similar to many of the rituals of Christmas and Easter, that are "Christianized" Pagan rituals.

So, this ceremony is actually contrary to the Law of Truth. The Father of Truth does not want the Children of Truth to worship Him with the same rituals that idolaters use to worship their idols (Deuteronomy 12:29-31)!

Not only that, people are to dwell in these booths during Sukkot, like the people of Israel did in the wilderness (Leviticus 23:42-43).  People are to sleep, eat, play, work, have sex, and give birth in a Sukkah during this time.  This is what the Father of Truth means, when He says, "Let's go camping!".

The other customs were added by religious professionals over the centuries.  While there is nothing inherently wrong with a few of them, it is inherently wrong to treat any of them like they are part of the instructions given in the Law of Truth for Sukkot.  No one has the authority to add commandments to the Law of Truth (Deuteronomy 4:1-2).

The only ceremonies commanded during Sukkot revolve around sacrifices at the Temple (Numbers 29:12-38).

The only commandments concerning Sukkot, besides those involving the Sukkah, are these:

The first day is a Sabbath when people are not do their regular work and congregate together (Leviticus 23:35).  Then they are to gather the four types of branches on this day (Leviticus 23:40).  Lastly, they are to use those branches to build their Sukkah on that day, so that Sukkot are everywhere in Jerusalem, including the courtyard of the Temple (Nehemiah 8:15-16).

After a Sukkah is built, then people are to live in their Sukkah for the next seven days and nights (Leviticus 23:42).

People are bring their tithes from the fruit harvest season, rather fruit or money, to the Temple at Sukkot (Deuteronomy 14:22-25).  No man is to show up empty handed at Sukkot (Deuteronomy 16:16-17).

People are to use part of those tithes to buy whatever they need to rejoice during Sukkot (Deuteronomy 14:26).  They are to use part of those tithes to make sure the Levites have whatever they need to rejoice with them (Deuteronomy 14:27). They are to make sure that everyone, including widows, orphans, and foreigners, are able to have whatever they need to rejoice with them (Deuteronomy 16:13-14).  Everyone is to spend the days of Sukkot rejoicing (Deuteronomy 16:15).

After people have spent seven days and nights rejoicing in their Sukkah, then the eighth day is another Sabbath when people are not to do their regular work and congregate together (Leviticus 23:36).  The Sabbath of the eighth day marks the end of Sukkot, just as the Sabbath of the first day marked the beginning of Sukkot (Leviticus 23:39).  This Sabbath is the end of the sacrifices at the Temple for Sukkot as the grand finale of those ceremonies (Numbers 29:35-38).

So, this is what the Father of Truth means when He says, "Let's go camping!".

It is truly the best way to go camping, because everyone can participate!

His instructions for keeping Sukkot are very different from those of the Rabbis. Today, the instructions of the Rabbis prevail in Jerusalem, but His instructions will prevail when the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) is using the Law of Truth to rule the world from Jerusalem, and the people of Israel are walking in his light (Isaiah 2:1-5)!

The return of the King will be right after with the final harvest of the Tribulation.  In the aftermath of the Tribulation, the River will flow and bring the waters of salvation.

His reign will move the world closer to the end of all troubles.  It will be like the day of new beginnings for the human race!

The Man of Truth will conduct the greatest camp meeting ever!  It will be a real Jamboree!

Not only will all of the people of Israel celebrate Sukkot in Jerusalem, but so will all the Goy (Gentiles) (Zechariah 14:16).  If any of the Goy refuse to go camping in Jerusalem during Sukkot, then their land will get no rain for the next year (Zechariah 14:17).  The Man of Truth will not be fooling around when He says, "Let's go camping!" (Zechariah 14:18-19).

I long for the day when he says to the whole world, "Let's go camping!".

The Man of Truth came down from Heaven to live as one of us (John 1:14).  He lived in a Sukkah on this earth like every persons lives in - a body is only temporary and not eternal (2 Corinthians 5:1).  He understood our desire to no longer live in a Sukkah, but to live in a body that would be a permanent home (2 Corinthians 5:2-4).  He understood that our bodies are like a Sukkah - they are lived in for a while and then taken apart (2 Peter 1:12-14).

So, the Man of Truth died and rose again, so we could become a new kind of person, that will live in a permanent home, instead of a Sukkah (2 Corinthians 5:14-17).  Because of that, one day the Father of Truth is going come down to Earth to camp with the Children of Truth forever in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2-4)!

Everyone who has come into the House of Truth will be glad when the Father of Truth says, "Let's go camping!".

You can come into the House of Truth and be glad on that day as well, because the Man of Truth came to be savior of the entire world (John 4:41-43).  The Father of Truth sent him to die in the place of those who broke His commandments, and raised him to life, so they could be saved by his life (Romans 5:6-10).  You will experience that salvation, if you surrender control of your life to the Man of Truth, because you believe that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead (Romans 10:8-10).  Everyone can come into the House of Truth, rather or not they are part of the people of Israel (Romans 10:11-13).

Come into the House of Truth!

The River Will Flow

How can people never thirst again?

In the 1980's, one of the most popular Christian bands was White Heart.  The truth is, that I was never much of a White Heart fan, until their 1989 album "Freedom" was released.  I had never heard any of the songs from this album on the radio, but I felt lead by the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost) to buy it.

It turned out to be one of the best albums that I have ever bought.  It was not just because of the radical departure in style that the band took from their previous albums, but also because of the depth of the lyrics.  However, it was more than just great music accompanied by great lyrics.  The Spirit of Truth was all over this album.  Many of the songs had a prophetic quality about them.

One of the band members said in the liner notes, that this was the album that the band had always wanted to make.  It was their last album that fulfilled their contractual agreement with Sparrow Records.  So the band apparently decided to follow the leading of the Spirit of Truth, and not be hindered by the concerns of the executives at their label.  The result was breath taking.

One of those deep and prophetic songs that made this album stand out was, "The River Will Flow".  For those who have never heard this song, here are the lyrics:

There inside my dream
I heard the river roar
I stumbled through the darkened mist
But I could not find the shore

Then a voice within the mist
Said, "tell me what do you seek?"
I said, "I have a mighty thirst
But I feel so tired and weak"

He said, "I am the river
Full of power and truth
You've been looking outside yourself
When it's there inside of you"

Oh-oh-oh
And the river will flow
The river will flow
Through all of the times of your life
The river will flow
Oh, and the river is love
The river is peace
And the river will flow through the hearts
Of those who believe

So put your hand in mine
Oh, put your hand in mine
And let us all go down
And kneel by the river's side

We'll cry our tears of joy
Cry our tears of pain
We'll let them fall down from our eyes
To be washed in the sacred stream

Even the secret tears
Buried in our memories
Let them all be swept away
To the depths of the endless sea

Oh-oh-oh
And the river will flow
The river will flow
Through all of the times of your life
The river will flow
Ooh, the river is love
The river is peace
And the river will flow through the hearts
Of those who believe

Let it flow on down
Come on let it flow down
Gotta let it flow, my Lord
Streams of mercy flowing down

Flow, the river will flow
(Let it flow, let it flow, let it flow)
Through all of the times of your life
The river will flow
And the river is love
The river is peace
Ooh, and the river will flow through the hearts
Of those who believe

Gonna let it flow, now, now
Ooh, my Lord, my Lord, my Lord
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
I can feel it, feel it, feel Your streams
Oh Lord
Ooh!
Oh the mercy flowing down

The river will flow
Ooh, let Your love flow down
Ooh, it is Your love flowing down
Falling down

You can also hear it here .

This song has amazing depth because it speaks about what the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) has done through the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ), is doing through the Man of Truth, and will do through the Man of Truth.

The River will flow.

The eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot aka the Feast of Booths) marked the end of the Feasts of Truth each year (Leviticus 23:34-37).  The eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles was the last high Sabbath of the year (Leviticus 23:39).

It was the grand finale of the Greatest Play Ever.

This day was the Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles that stood out from all other days.

The River will flow.

The Father of Truth had promised the day would come, when His anger at sin would be turned away, and that the waters of salvation would be poured out (Isaiah 12:1-3).   So on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, the Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles, pots of water were poured out on the steps of the Temple, to remind everyone of this promise.

The Man of Truth went to the Feast of Tabernacles (John 7:2-10).  On the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, the Great Day of the feast, the Man of Truth promised that the Spirit of Truth would flow like a river out of those, who come into the House of Truth (John 7:37-39).

The Spirit of Truth is the River that the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) seek (Luke 11:10-13).

The River will flow.

The River is full of power (Acts 1:8).  The River is full of truth (1 John 5:6).

The Children of Truth do not need to be looking outside of themselves for the River, for the River is inside of them (Romans 8:9).

The River will flow through the Children of Truth all the times of their lives (John 14:16-17).

The River is peace (John 14:26-27).  The River is love (Galatians 5:22).

The River will flow through the hearts of those who believe (Ephesians 1:12-14).

The River will flow.

Over the first seven days of the Feast of Tabernacles, seventy bullocks, one per ethnic group, were offered for each of the seventy root ethnic groups, that all people came from (Numbers 29:12-32).  On the eighth day, only one bullock was offered for all people (Numbers 29:35-36).

This day was the Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles that stood out from all other days.

The River will flow.

The River carries the blood of the Man of Truth to bring redemption (Hebrews 9:12-14).  Just as the blood of only one bull flowed down to bring mercy to all people on the Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles, so also the blood of the Man of Truth flowed down on the cross to bring mercy upon all people on the Great Day of his sacrifice (Revelation 5:9).

Streams of mercy were flowing down (1 Peter 1:2-4).  His mercy is still flowing down (1 Peter 2:10).

The River will flow.

Those waters of salvation that were poured out on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles came from the mikvot (baptismals) that were used to make people clean.  This cleansing allowed them could enter into the prescence of the Spirit of Truth, who lived in the Temple.  So, the waters of salvation were poured out to show that people would be cleaned from sin, and brought into the prescence of the Spirit of Truth.

This day was the Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles that stood out from all other days.

The River will flow.

John the Baptist (Yochanon the Mikveh Man) baptized people in the river, when they repented of their sins (Mark 1:4-5).   He then told everyone, that the Man of Truth would baptize people in the River (Mark 1:6-8).

On the Great Day of the resurrection of the Man of Truth, the River began to flow inside of those who believed, since the Man of Truth had cleansed them of their sin (John 20:20-22).

Forty days later, the Man of Truth told them to wait to be baptized in River (Acts 1:3-5).

Those who waited, heard the River roar (Acts 2:2).  Then they were baptized in the River (Acts 2:3-4).

On the Great Day of the Spirit of Truth, the River began to flow in power out of those who believed (Acts 2:16-18).

The River will flow.

On the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles, there was an explosion of joy over the peace and prosperity brought by the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law).

This day was the Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles that stood out from all other days.

The River will flow.

When the Saints go marching in, the Grapes of Wrath are crushed, and the Final Harvest is over, then the River will flow stronger than it ever has.  It will be the Great Day when the Man of Truth begins to reign over the Earth.

Just like the waters of salvation flowed down the steps of the Temple on the Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles, so also will a river of life flow from the steps of the Temple on the Great Day, when the Man of Truth begins his reign over the Earth.

A tree lined river will flow out of from the East side of the Temple (Ezekiel 47:1-7).   This river will bring life to every place it flows, like the River (Ezekiel 47:8-12).  This river will flow out of Jerusalem into the Mediterranean Sea and the Dead Sea (Zechariah 14:8).

The River will flow.

All of the descendants of Israel (Ya'acov aka Jacob) will flow into the land of Israel from all of the nations, like a mighty river (Isaiah 60:4-5).

Peace will flow out of Jerusalem like a river, and the nations will come into Jerusalem like a stream (Isaiah 66:12-13).  The Law of Truth will go out of Jerusalem like a mighty river, that brings peace and prosperity to the whole Earth (Micah 4:1-4).

People of all nations will stream into Jerusalem, like a mighty river (Isaiah 2:2-4).  All nations will come to Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16-19).

The River will give light to all nations (Isaiah 60:1-3).  The River will cover the Earth (Habakkuk 2:14).

Those who desire righteousness, will no longer have a mighty thirst (Matthew 5:3-6).

The River will flow.

The Children of Truth will have new bodies with flesh and bones, like that of the Man of Truth (Luke 24:36-39). Their blood will not flow through their new bodies to give them life (1 Corinthians 15:47-50).

The River will flow though their new bodies to give them life (1 Corinthians 15:42-46).

The Children of Truth will no longer feel tired and weak (Isaiah 40:30-31).

The River will flow.

The eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles ended living in temporary booths.

This day was the Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles that stood out from all other days.

The River will flow.

In like manner, when the reign of the Man of Truth over this Earth comes to an end after a thousand years, then the Great Day will come, that ends living in this temporary universe (Revelation 20:7-11).

This temporary universe will be put away like a sukkah (booth), when the Feast of Tabernacles has came to an end on the Great Day (Hebrews 1:10-12).

The River flowed to create this temporary universe that we live in (Genesis 1:1-2).  The River will flow to create a new permanent universe that we will live in forever (Isaiah 66:22).

The River will flow to destroy this temporary universe, and create a permanent universe, where only the righteous live (2 Peter 3:10-13).

The River will flow to cause this temporary universe to pass away, and the Children of Truth to live in a permanent tabernacle with the Father of Truth (Revelation 21:1-3).  In that eternal universe, the river of life will flow from the throne of the Father of Truth and His Son, with the tree of life lining the shores of the river (Revelation 22:1-2).

The River will flow.

We will cry our tears of joy, and our tears of pain, so they can be washed in the Sacred Stream, when the Father of Truth wipes them away (Revelation 21:4).

The River will flow to take away from the Children of Truth the memories of this temporary universe (Isaiah 65:17).  Even our secret tears, buried in our memories, will be swept away (Isaiah 65:16-19).  Like our sins, they will all be swept away to the depths of the endless sea (Micah 7:19).

The River will flow.

Perhaps, there inside your dream, you have heard the River roar (Ezekiel 43:2-4).

You may have stumbled through the darkened mist, but you could not find the shore (Isaiah 59:9-11).

There is a voice within the mist, asking what you seek (Hebrews 10:15-17).

The River will flow.

So put your hand in mine.  Let us all go down, and kneel at the River side (John 4:23-24).

The River is inviting you to come into the House of Truth (Revelation 22:17).

The Man of Truth gives living water to everyone, who asks him for it (John 4:10).   Those who ask him for this living water will never thirst again, for the River will flow, and give them eternal life (John 4:13-14).  Those, who come into the House of Truth, will never thirst again (John 6:35).

The River will flow.

The love of the Father of Truth is flowing down for those, who have not yet come into the House of Truth (Romans 5:8).  The love of the Father of Truth is flowing down upon those, who come into the House of Truth (1 John 3:1-2).

All you have to do is commit to obeying the Man of Truth, because you believe that His Father raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9).  The River will flow (1 John 3:23-24).

Come into the House of Truth!

The Final Harvest

What will happen to the Children of Truth after the Final Harvest?

Every autumn, there are all kinds of celebrations at the end of the harvest.  Where I grew up, Lincoln had the Arkansas Apple Festival at the end of the apple harvest.  In like manner, Tontitown had the Grape Festival at the end of the grape harvest.

These festivals are hardly new, nor are they limited to climatic fall (September - November).  Every spring, there was the Stillwell Strawberry Festival.  At the very beginning of climatic summer (June - August), there was the Jay Huckleberry Festival.

In like manner, there are three harvest festivals, one near the middle of climatic spring (March - May), one near the beginning of climatic summer, and one near the middle of climatic fall, in the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) (Exodus 23:14-16).  Each harvest seasons was a time of great joy, especially when the harvest was completed (Isaiah 9:3).

The first harvest festival was the Feast of Unleavened Bread, that occurs near the middle of climatic spring (Exodus 34:18).  This festival marked the beginning of the barley harvest, when the first sheaves of the barley harvest were offered up on the inner Feast of Truth called "Firstfruits", that occurred on the Sunday inside of the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Leviticus 23:10-11).  No one could eat of the barley harvest, until after the sheaves were offered up on Firstfruits (Leviticus 23:14).

The second harvest festival was the Feast of Weeks (Shavuot aka Pentecost), that marked the beginning of the wheat harvest (Exodus 34:22).  This festival occurs seven weeks after Firstfruits, near the beginning of climatic summer (Leviticus 23:15-21).  Like the barley harvest, no one was to eat of the wheat harvest, until first of the wheat was offered up on the Feast of Weeks (Numbers 18:12-13).

The third harvest festival was the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), when the last of the crops of the agricultural year were gathered in (Exodus 23:16).  This festival was near the middle of climatic fall, that marked the end of the fruit harvest (Leviticus 23:39-43).  Like the barley harvest, no one could drink of the new wine from the grape harvest, until the best of it was offered (Numbers 18:12).

No one could plant, or harvest, barley, wheat, or grapes, during the Year of Release (Leviticus 25:3-5). The Feast of Tabernacles marked the final harvest of the agricultural year, because it marked the end of the Year of Release (Deuteronomy 31:10).

So the grape harvest was the final harvest, and the Feast of Tabernacles came after it.  The Feast of Tabernacles was the time of great rejoicing, that came after the final harvest (Deuteronomy 16:13-15).

This rejoicing during the Feast of Tabernacles, after the final harvest was over, was so important, that the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) were commanded to actually spend part of their tithe money, to buy whatever whatever food, and drink, especially wine, that they needed for rejoicing (Deuteronomy 14:22-26).

Wine can cheer people up (Judges 9:13)!  Wine can make people shout (Psalm 78:65)!  Wine can make people glad (Psalm 104:15)!  Wine can make people merry (Ecclesiastes 10:19)!  Wine can make people sing (Isaiah 24:9)!  Wine can make people rejoice (Zechariah 10:7)!

This is why King David gave everyone, who came to celebrate the placement of the Ark of the Covenant in the Tabernacle of David, a flagon of wine (2 Samuel 6:17-19).  The wine was as important to the rejoicing, as the singing of praises to the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) (1 Chronicles 16:1-6).

So, right after the final harvest, there came a time of great joy for the Children of Truth.

Today, the Final Harvest is approaching.

The greatest harvest of souls in history will soon be ripe, and the Final Harvest will begin (Mark 4:26-29)!

Like the barley harvest began by men, marked the beginning of the long harvest season, so also the harvest of the people of Israel began by the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ), marked the beginning of the long harvest season (Matthew 9:33-38).  Like the wheat harvest began by men, marked the beginning of diversity of crops during the long harvest season, so also the harvest of the Gentiles began by the Man of Truth, marked the beginning of diversity of people during the long harvest season (John 4:35-38).  Like the grape harvest finished by men, marked that the long harvest season was over, so also the Final Harvest finished by the Man of Truth, will mark that the long harvest season is over (Revelation 14:12-16)!

In the Final Harvest, the Children of Lies (those who disobey the Father of Truth because they do not love Him) will be taken out of the congregation of the Children of Truth (Matthew 13:24-30)!  In the Final Harvest, the Children of Lies will be destroyed, while the Children of Truth will be preserved (Matthew 13:36-43)!

After the Saints go marching in, and the grapes of wrath have been crushed in the winepress of Jerusalem, then the time after the Final Harvest will begin!

The Children of Truth will shout for joy after the Final Harvest, because the Children of Lies have been destroyed (Psalm 5:10-12)!  The Children of Truth will shout for joy after the Final Harvest, because they trusted in the Father of Truth (Psalm 32:10-11)!  The Children of Truth will shout for joy after the Final Harvest, because the Children of Lies will never oppress them again (Psalm 35:25-27)!  The Children of Truth will shout for joy after the Final Harvest, because the Man of Truth will be sitting on the throne of King David (Psalm 132:9-12)!  The Children of Truth will shout for joy after the Final Harvest, because the Man of Truth will be reigning over the Earth from Jerusalem (Psalm 132:13-17)!

The Children of Truth will begin to experience unending joy, after the Final Harvest!  This is what the Feast of Tabernacles tells about as the seventh act of the Greatest Play Ever!  This is why the command to rejoice during the Feast of Tabernacles is so serious, that the Children of Truth are told to spend part of their tithes to do it!

The Final Harvest will bring about a time of great joy for the Children of Truth, but the Final Harvest has not yet began.  It will be obvious when the Final Harvest begins.

The final harvest of the grapes began with a shout (Isaiah 16:10)!  In like manner, the Final Harvest of souls will begin with a shout (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)!

Until the Final Harvest begins, there is still a harvest going on!

There was continual harvest of different kinds of fruit during the long harvest season, that came between the wheat harvest and the grape harvest (Exodus 22:29).  The Feast of Tabernacles came after the harvest of these different kinds of fruit ended (Leviticus 23:39-41).  The harvest of these different kinds of fruit continued all during the long harvest season (Deuteronomy 26:2).  There was always a harvest of some kind of fruit going on, before the final harvest (Nehemiah 10:35)!

In like manner, there has been a continual harvest of different kinds of people during the long harvest season, that came between the day, when the Man of Truth left the Earth, and the day, when He meets the Children of Truth in the air!  There has always been a harvest of some kind of people going on, before the Final Harvest!

Until the Final Harvest begins, the Children of Truth need to heed the warning of "People get ready!".  They need to learn how to fully carry out the Great Commission.  The need to be doing their part to carry out the Great Commission, because there is still a harvest going on right now!

The Children of Truth need to be wise enough to harvest souls (Proverbs 11:30)!  [The Hebrew word translated as "win" here means "to take" (in the harvest).]  The Children of Truth need to pray for more of them to join in the harvest, that is going on right now, because not nearly enough of them are working in the harvest (Luke 10:2)!  The Children of Truth need to be harvesting the fruit that is ripening, just before the Final Harvest begins (Romans 1:13)!

The Children of Truth harvest a soul, whenever someone decide to make the Man of Truth their king, because that person believed their witness, that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9)!  The Children of Truth begin harvesting souls, whenever someone becomes the first one to respond to their efforts (Romans 16:5)!  The Children of Truth gain help harvesting souls, whenever one of the souls they harvested, decides to help others come into the House of Truth (1 Corinthians 16:15)!  The Children of Truth harvest souls, whenever people are born again, through hearing them preach the Word of Truth (James 1:18)!  The Children of Truth need to keep harvesting souls, while they wait for the Final Harvest to begin (James 5:7-8)!

Camp Meeting!

What is the greatest camp meeting of all time?

For over a decade, I spent a week each year going to the Camp Meeting put on by Kenneth Hagin Ministries here in Tulsa.

Camp Meeting was the highlight of the year for many people.  There would be various ministers who ministered during the three sessions per day.

Some sessions consisted entirely as praise and worship.  Some sessions were focused on teaching about various subjects in the Book of Truth (The Bible).  Some sessions were focused on preaching salvation to those who had not come into the House of Truth.  Some sessions were focused on baptizing the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) in the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost), so they could start producing the sound of power.

Some sessions were focused on the Spirit of Truth delivering people from all kinds of things that had kept them bound, like addictions.  People would frequently pass out as an addict, and then come to as someone who had no more interest in doing what they had been addicted to doing, than they had in picking up a piece of dog poop and eating it.

My favorite sessions at Camp Meeting were focused on allowing the Spirit of Truth to operate as needed.

These usually started out in some other way, but it when it became apparent that the Spirit of Truth wanted to change the focus, then we followed the leading of the Spirit of Truth for that session.  You never really knew how this was going to turn out.

Sometimes, messages were given to people by the Spirit of Truth that were usually either knowledge about what was going on their lives, or wisdom about a difficult decision that they had to make.  Sometimes, there was a message for all of the Children of Truth about a future event that we needed to prepare for.

Not every message was a happy message.  Some were dire warnings about specific disasters that were given to specific people, unless they repented quickly of specific sins that were sometimes named.  Some told of events that would soon come upon America, and how to prepare for those events, if necessary.

In those ten years, I do not remember one of these messages that was not 100% accurate.

Sometimes, the Spirit of Truth would move in miraculous ways.  Sometimes, people would be instantly cured of cancer and other diseases that were beyond the ability of medical science to cure.  Sometimes, the lame would walk, the blind would see, and the deaf would hear.  In fact, about the only thing that I did not hear of, or personally witness happening, was people growing back missing body parts or people being raised from the dead.

Sometimes, the Spirit of Truth would just move upon all of the Children of Truth who was there.

Several times, a supernatural love came over the crowd, and they gave enough money to one of the Children of Truth to completely wipe out all of their debt that had been accumulated over years of hardship.  Sometimes, a holy reverence would come over the crowd and not one of the ten thousand attendees would make a sound, or leave their seats, except for the ones in the front rows who laid down with their face to the ground.  Sometimes, everyone would just start acting drunk - with some laughing uncontrollably, while others went around weeping and hugging every person they saw.  Sometimes, the crowd would be so overcome with a sense of mourning over their sins, where they would start crying, confessing their sins, and making restitution to those whom they had wronged.  Sometimes, the crowd would be so overwhelmed with the joy of their salvation that they would jump, dance, sing, clap their hands, yell, do back flips, take off running, and anything else that people do to express joy - even the elderly men and women!

There were also amazing services that the youth attended.

It would not be an exaggeration to say, that several hundred of them got the call to be missionaries and the like at Camp Meeting.  Many of them are still active today in carrying out the mission that they were given then.

The supernatural power of the Spirit of Truth prevailed among the children as well.

Those who were in charge of the children were not there to just watch them while their parents were encountering the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD).  They were there to lead the children into encountering the Father of Truth for themselves.

My daughter Miranda came into the House of Truth at Camp Meeting when she was three years old, and has never strayed from her decision, because one of the children ministers believed that a three year old could make a decision to follow the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ).  Sometimes, the evening service would go extra long and none of the babies would get cranky or anything like that.  Instead, a supernatural atmosphere of peace would prevail and they would all just sit quietly in the arms of the nursery workers.

Camp Meeting was open to the public and completely free.

Anyone was welcome to attend and every kind of person did.  The rich and famous, prostitutes and the homeless, average men and women, all  showed up.  People of every skin color and ethnicity showed up.  People from around the world showed up.  People from around the block showed up.

Camp Meeting was a special time to meet with the Father of Truth and He showed up!

Camp Meeting was just the most spectacular event of the year!

Still the name "Camp Meeting" seemed a little odd the first time I went, because we met in a convention center.  No one was camping there in downtown Tulsa, except maybe the homeless.  Many people stayed at the Double Tree hotel across the street from the convention center, while many people just drove there from their homes.  The "camp" in "Camp Meeting" seemed to be missing.

Then I learned, why it was called "Camp Meeting".

It was not called "Camp Meeting", because we actually all met in a camp and slept in tents.  It was called "Camp Meeting", because it was met to bring the same atmosphere as the camp meetings that used to occur all across America to a younger generation.

My grandmother had went to some of these camp meetings when she was young.

The camp meetings that she had attended in Arkansas during the 1920's and 1930's, were put on by the Methodists.  Still, many of the same elements were present.  She would tell about me about how in late summer or early fall, entire communities spread across several counties would all converge at one place with every family living in tents.  Then an evangelist would lead the camp meeting for eight days, starting on a Sunday morning and ending on the night of the following Sunday.

During the camp meeting people would hear the teaching of the Word of Truth from the Book of Truth.

The evangelist would preach with such conviction that people would tremble violently.  People would repent and get baptized in the nearest river as quickly as possible.  People would play music and sing, but not like they did in their regular weekly service.  They would just go wild, playing their fiddles and other bluegrass instruments as hard and as loud as they could.  They would sing so loud that people passing by on the nearest road would stop their journey, and come into the camp to see what was going on.  It was a time of great repenting over sin and great rejoicing over salvation.

Their camp meeting was a special time to meet with the Father of Truth and He showed up!

Their camp meeting was just the most spectacular event of the year.

These camp meetings were a continuation of an American phenomenon that had been going on since at least the 1790's.  They were a key part of the Second Great Awakening.  Circuit evangelists like Charles Grandison Finney would preach at various camp meetings throughout the year, and entire cities would turn away from wickedness to serve the Father of Truth.  One of the Methodists camp meetings was so loud that a city fifteen miles away heard the commotion!  Most of the town came to see what was going on, and everyone of them surrendered their lives to the Man of Truth!

Sometimes these camp meetings were called brush arbor meetings.  They were called this, because the services occurred in a booth with a flat roof made of tree branches that had been cut down for this meeting.  Some of these booths were so large that they would contain many rows of benches forming a small church building. Typically, these booths would be expanded to fit the size of the crowd.  In some cases, there would be several booths with different activities going on at the same time.

These camp meetings were a special time to meet with the Father of Truth and He showed up!

These camp meetings were just the most spectacular event of the year!

The original camp meetings in America were started by Scots and Scotch-Irish settlers.  They adapted a traditional meeting among the Presbyterians of Scotland, northern Ireland, and the counties of England that bordered Scotland, which were called "holy fairs".

Holy fairs frequently happened during Communion Season as an eight day celebration in the fall, after all of the crops had been harvested.  Holy fairs typically began on Monday one week and then ran until the next Monday.

Communion Season was not a single eight day period, but rather a period of about six weeks in duration when different holy fairs occurred at different locations.  This period began as early as mid September and ended as late as about a week before the last day of October.

The Scots would set up special booths each year on the first Monday to hold the speakers and musicians who ministered to the crowds over the next seven days.  These booths were also usually taken down after the closing activities of the second Monday were concluded, typically after sunset.  The crowds would also spend all eight days in tents or booths as well.

Also on the first Monday, the start of the holy fair was heralded with the blowing of trumpets throughout fair grounds.  This helped everyone to know where to go to meet together with the Father of Truth.  The sound of trumpets could be heard for miles.

The official clergy of the Church of Scotland would rarely attend these holy fairs.  In fact, they were often convened by all of the congregations in a county at one central location.  Many of these congregations were poor, so the Church of Scotland did not even bother to so much as assign a circuit preacher to entire their county.

So guest speakers, like circuit evangelists and teachers, would come from other places to preach the Good News, and to teach people how to live out their faith.  Some of them would preach messages of repentance and many people would turn from their wicked ways.  On Friday, commonly called "Question Day", the guest speakers would spend the day answering questions from the crowd.

At other times, the lay people would read from the Renewed Covenant (B'rit Chadashah aka The New Testament) out loud and then they would have discussions about what they read.  They would also have praise meetings that featured ecstatic music, loud joyful singing, and wild energetic dancing.  There were also times when the Spirit of Truth would move upon the entire crowd in spectacular ways.

Certain days were devoted entirely to activities similar to those of the camp meetings in America.

These days were usually the first Monday when it started, Thursday, when there was a day long fast, Communion Sunday, when the entire community would take their annual communion (hence the name "Communion Season"), and the last Monday when it ended.

On the other days, during the day and evening, people would also display the best of their crops and live stock.  They would also sell hand crafted items and home made works of art out of booths and tents.  It was also a time of playing various games with each other.

Also, on all of the days except for the first Monday, and Thursday, people would eat special "fair food" that was typically only available during a holy fair.  The fair food vendors were not allowed to sell their food on the four days devoted entirely to the Father of Truth.  So people typically brought food with them for the first day of the holy fair, and then bought extra fair food on the days that proceeded the days when the vendors could not sell anything.

The traditions of the holy fairs of Scotland, which were usually county wide, not only gave rise to camp meetings in America, but also to county fairs in America.  These county fairs still frequently occur in the same period as the Communion Season.  Many of the fair food vendors typically sold food at different county holy fairs during the Communion Season, similar to how many fair food vendors sell food at different county fairs during fair season today.

However in Scotland, these traditions were all part of the same eight day celebration in each county.

So the holy fairs were a time of great rejoicing as well as a time of great repentance.  People met together, had fun together, and gave special attention together to the things that pertained to the Father of Truth.

These holy fairs were a special time to meet with the Father of Truth and He showed up!

These holy fairs were just the most spectacular event of the year!

These holy fairs had their roots in Celtic Christianity in its original form.  Several different festivals, that were originally celebrated over a three week span each fall, came to be celebrated during a single eight day long festival.

It is no mystery what those original festivals were.  The detractors of Saint Patrick left a record, of how his followers had been celebrating these festivals that were not part of the official religious calendar of the False Church of Rome.  He had instead taught them to celebrate the same festivals and observe the same days that the Apostles of Truth had celebrated and observed.

The festivals and customs that the Scots originally celebrated and practiced were the same ones that Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul aka The Apostle Paul) had celebrated and practiced (Acts 21:20-26).

These customs of these festivals were changed in some ways, while keeping many of their original characteristics, to be combined together into the holy fairs.

These Scots did not allow commerce to be carried out on Communion Sunday, because they never allowed any commerce, or any unnecessary work, to be done on any Sunday.

They were in the habit of giving one day a week to the Father of Truth.  They spent each Sunday engaged in activities necessary to rest, carry out the Great Commission, and take care of other people, so they were never bored on the Sabbath.  They did this, because they thought that the Sabbath had been changed to Sunday.  Most of them did not have the means necessary to determine who changed the Sabbath.  They were keeping the Sabbath to the best of their understanding, because the Sabbath is when the Apostles of Truth met with congregations to tell them about the Man of Truth (Acts 13:42-44).

These Scots blew trumpets at the beginning of the holy fair to announce the beginning of their Fall festival season.  This day of blowing trumpets and meeting together was originally held on the day after the new moon became visible, when that day was no earlier than two weeks before the last of the crops would be harvested.

The Apostle of Truth had kept the Feast of Trumpets on this day and treated it the same as the Sabbath, because that was what was commanded in the Law of Truth (Leviticus 23:24).  The Apostles of Truth had told them in the Renewed Covenant, that the sound of the trumpet would signal that it was time for the Children of Truth to be gathered together to meet with the Man of Truth (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).

The Scots fasted together during the holy fair, so they could learn the fastest way to victory!  They originally fasted on the same day every year as the Apostles of Truth had fasted.

The Apostle of Truth had fasted on the Day of Atonement every year that was commanded in the Law of Truth, which was nine days after the Feast of Trumpets and treated the same as the Sabbath (Leviticus 23:27).  This was "the Fast" that Paul the Jew and all of the Apostles of Truth had kept every year (Acts 27:9).

The Scots selected Thursday as the day to fast, because that was one of the two days that the Pharisees fasted every week (Luke 18:11-12).  Paul the Jew had continued to identify himself as a Pharisee, long after he came into the House of Truth (Acts 23:6).  So Paul the Jew had continued to do this, all during his ministry to the Gentiles (2 Corinthians 11:27).

The other day of the week that Paul the Jew fasted every week was Monday, when the holy fair began and ended.

The Scots had their holy fair for eight days, after the last of their crops had been harvested, because that is what the Apostles of Truth had done.

The Apostles of Truth had congregated together for eight days for the Feast of Tabernacles, after all of the crops had been harvested, and fourteen days after the Feast of Trumpets, with the first and eighth days being treated the same as the Sabbath as commanded in the Law of Truth (Leviticus 23:39).  This was the same Feast of Tabernacles that the Man of Truth attended in Jerusalem each year (John 7:2-10).

So the Scots had originally met together for the Sabbath each week.  They originally met in the Fall over a three week period.  During this three week period, they met together for the Feast of Trumpets, then they met nine days later to fast together on the Day of Atonement, and finally camped together in tents and booths for the Feast of Tabernacles.  Over the centuries, they combined all of these elements together into a single eight day festival, which they called a holy fair.

The Scots treated the first and eighth day of the holy fair the same as the Sabbath, except for putting up tents and booths on the first day, because that is what was done on the first and last days of the Feast of Tabernacles. They announced the start of the holy fair with the blowing of trumpets, because the Feast of Trumpets announced the beginning of the Feasts of Truth each Fall.  They fasted on a set day during the holy fair, because everyone fasted on the Day of Atonement.  They gave met together for communion on Sunday, because they had been led to believe, that Sunday was the Sabbath when they were to meet together every week.  They started each holy fair on a Monday and ended on a Monday, because they were commemorating how Paul the Jew had fasted on every Monday.  They selected Thursday for the day of the Fast during the holy fair, because Paul the Jew had fasted every Thursday.

This transformation of these festivals and customs into those of the holy fair by the Scots was probably due in part to a lack of access to the entire Book of Truth. The handwritten copies of the Book of Truth were expensive before the printing press was invented, and only the very wealthy could own their own copy.  Most of the copies were owned by the same Church of Scotland that did not even bother to send a preacher to meet with them during the entire year!

They were pretty much limited to what they learned each year at the holy fair from traveling ministers - who may have had access to the entire Book of Truth.  All they could do for the rest of the year was rely on what they found in their translation of the Renewed Covenant - if their congregation owned one!

Also, the Scots combining all of the Fall Feasts of Truth and the customs of the Apostles of Truth into a single eight day festival may have been a matter of practicality as well.  They had probably found it difficult to spend a day traveling to congregate together, and then another day traveling home afterwards, first for the Feast of Trumpets, and then for the Day of Atonement, during the harvest season.  This was one of the busiest times of the year for them, when the important work of harvesting their crops had to be carried out.  However, they could manage to meet together in tents and booths in each county after all of their crops had been harvested.

The Feasts of Truth did not occur during the same week each Fall.  Their occurrence was based on when the new moon was visible and when the crops would finish being harvested.  The new moon does not appear on the same date every year and different crops are finished being harvested on different dates in different locations.  So there was about a six week window, from the earliest date of the Feast of Trumpets to the latest date of the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles.  Eventually, the Scottish Children of Truth in different counties, selected different weeks inside that window based on when the crops would finish being harvested in their county.

The Feast of Truth that contributed the most the shaping of the holy fairs was the Feast of Tabernacles.

The Jewish Children of Truth would gather together every year in one place for the Feast of Tabernacles to meet the Father of Truth (Exodus 23:15-17).

They met for the Feast of Tabernacles at the end of their agricultural year, after all of the crops had been gathered into their barns (Exodus 34:21-22).  They observed the Feast of Tabernacles, after they had gathered in their all of their crops and turned their grapes into wine (Deuteronomy 16:13).

The Jewish Children of Truth gave one tenth of their crops to the Father of Truth each year (Leviticus 27:30).   The Jewish Children of Truth gave one tenth of their livestock to the Father of Truth each year (Leviticus 27:32-33).

The Jewish Children of Truth brought their tithes to the place where the Father of Truth chose to meet them at, and ate of their tithes there (Deuteronomy 12:5-7).  They rejoiced when they ate of their tithes in the place where they met the Father of Truth (Deuteronomy 12:11-12).  They did not bring their tithes of their crops and livestock to any other place (Deuteronomy 12:17-18).  They brought the tithes of their crops and livestock, so they could eat of them before the Father of Truth (Deuteronomy 14:22-23).

The Feast of Tabernacles was a time of presenting livestock to the Father of Truth (Numbers 29:12-38).

There was never an event for displaying the crops that the Father of Truth had blessed people with, which was even close to the Feast of Tabernacles!  The Feast of Tabernacles was also the greatest livestock show on Earth!

When the Jewish Children of Truth could not bring the tithes of their crops and livestock to that place, then they sold them and brought the money from the sale to that place (Deuteronomy 14:24-25). All of them spent some of that money to buy food and drink, so they could rejoice before the Father of Truth (Deuteronomy 14:26).  All of them brought a contribution that was in proportion to how the Father of Truth had blessed them (Deuteronomy 16:16-17).

The Jewish Children of Truth rejoiced with everyone who lived among them at the Feast of Tabernacles in the same place every year, because it was a commandment - and not an option (Deuteronomy 16:14-15).

The Children of Truth were free to spend their time selling arts and crafts, making new friends, playing games, and taking part in other amusements, during the middle six days of the Feast of Tabernacles, except for the weekly Sabbath (Leviticus 23:35-38).

The Feast of Tabernacles was a time of great rejoicing!  It was a time for people to spend time together and have fun!  It was a fair like no other!

On the first and eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles the Jewish Children of Truth would congregate together like they did on the Sabbath (Leviticus 23:34-36).  On the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles the Jewish Children of Truth would build booths with flat roofs covered by tree branches like those used in the brush arbor meetings, and live in those booths for the next seven days (Leviticus 23:39-42).  The Jewish Children of Truth truly had a camp meeting (Nehemiah 8:14-16)!

The Jewish Children of Truth spent part of their time reading, hearing, and discussing the Law of Truth, as well as doing things that brought them joy, for all eight days of the Feast of Tabernacles (Nehemiah 8:17-18).

So the Feast of Tabernacles was both a time for people to meet with the Father of Truth and to have fun with each other.  The Feast of Tabernacles was meant to bring balance between the needs of the souls of the Children of Truth and the needs of their spirits.  The Feast of Tabernacles was meant to help them learn how to win at Greco-Judeo wresting.

The Feast of Tabernacles was a special time to meet with the Father of Truth and He showed up!

The Feast of Tabernacles was just the most spectacular event of the year!

So Camp Meeting came from camp meetings, which came from holy fairs, which came from the Feast of Tabernacles.  So it would be safe to say that the Feast of Tabernacles was the original Camp Meeting!

Yet as great as any of these yearly events might have been, they are not the greatest camp meeting of all time.  There is coming a yearly camp meeting that is going to be larger and greater than any camp meeting that has ever been!

The greatest camp meetings of all time will be those that occur in the aftermath of the Man of Truth bringing this world into total surrender to the Father of Truth!  The Feast of Tabernacles tells about the time of the greatest camp meetings of all time that occurs during the seventh act of the Greatest Play Ever!

The Man of Truth will rule over all nations from Jerusalem and use the Law of Truth to bring an end to all disputes (Isaiah 2:1-4).  When He bring all nations into subjection to the Law of Truth, then it will be an incredible time of peace and prosperity (Micah 4:1-4).

All nations, not just the Jewish Children of Truth, will go up to Jerusalem every year to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles that the Man of Truth will host (Zechariah 14:16).  All nations will rejoice before the Father of Truth at the Feast of Tabernacles - or they will get no rain for the next year (Zechariah 14:17-19)!

The Feast of Tabernacles will be a special time to meet with the Father of Truth and He will show up!

The Feast of Tabernacles will be just the most spectacular event of the year!

The Feast of Tabernacles will be the greatest camp meeting of all time!

You do not have to wait for the greatest camp meeting of all time to begin to experience the joy of camp meeting!

You can seek the Father of Truth today by coming into the House of Truth and He will show up (Jeremiah 29:11-13)!  Today, you will experience just the most spectacular event of your life, if you will come into the House of Truth (2 Corinthians 6:2)!

You can come into the House of Truth today by surrendering to the Man of Truth, because you believe that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9)!  You can begin to rejoice now before the Father of Truth by coming into the House of Truth (1 Peter 1:7-9)!  When you come into the House of Truth, then you will start living in the presence of the Father of Truth, the Man of Truth and the Spirit of Truth, just like people will do in the greatest camp meeting ever (1 John 4:13-15)!

Come into the House of Truth!

The Day Of New Beginnings

What is the best day ever?

Some of the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) would say, that it was the day that they submitted to the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) in total surrender, and came into the House of Truth.  I could say, it will be the day when I breath my last, because that will be the moment I become alive.  Some of the Children of Truth would say, that the best day ever, will the day that the Man of Truth takes off of the Earth, those who heeded the warning of, "People get ready!".  Others would say, that day of the Return of the King, is best day ever, because it is so good that they can say "Bring it on!", about the Tribulation, in order to get to that day.

Yet there is another day that is better than any of those days.  It is the Day of New Beginnings.

The Day of New Beginnings is foreshadow by events that occur on the eighth day, for the eighth day is the beginning of a new week, and signifies a new beginning.

In the Everlasting Covenant, that the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) made with Abraham (Abram), concerning the Promised Land and the salvation of the Gentiles, every male descendant of the original camp of Abraham, who participated in the covenant, was to be circumcised, on the eighth day, as a sign of the new beginning, that covenant made for all of mankind (Genesis 17:10-14).  For this reason, Isaac (Yitzhak) was circumcised, on the eighth day, because he was a new beginning, for the family of Abraham (Genesis 21:4).  The eighth day, continued to be the day that every Israeli boy was to be circumcised, when the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) was given to Moses (Moishe), because that covenant was a new beginning, for the people of Israel (Leviticus 12:2-3).  When John the Baptist (Yochanon the Mikveh Man) was circumcised, on the eighth day, his father Zacharias was no longer mute, but had a new beginning, where he was filled with the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost), and prophesied (Luke 1:59-67).  In like manner, the Man of Truth was given his name, on the eighth day, when he was circumcised, because all of mankind would get a new beginning, through him (Luke 2:21).  When Isaac was circumcised, on the eighth day, he was also the means of a new beginning, for the human race, through a new nation, that would come through his son Israel (Ya'acob aka Jacob) (Acts 7:8).  In like manner, Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul aka The Apostle Paul) was circumcised, on the eighth day, who was the chief proclaimer of the new beginning, for the Gentiles, that came through the Man of Truth (Philippians 3:3-5).

The eighth day, is prescribed for circumcision, because circumcision is a new beginning, whereby a man is counted as a Jew, and no longer as a Gentile (Galatians 2:7-9).

Just like circumcision, the first fruits of any animal could not be offered, until it was eight days old, because the first born marked a new beginning, for the herd or flock through a new generation (Exodus 22:29-30).   A free will offering could not be given, until the eighth day of life, because it marked a new beginning, in the relationship between the giver and the Father of Truth (Leviticus 22:26-29).

This new beginning in relationship, was marked on the eighth day, when the Tabernacle was finished being consecrated, and the glory of the Father of Truth appeared in this portable meeting place (Leviticus 9:1-6).  The new beginning of a permanent meeting place, the Temple in Jerusalem, was marked as finished being consecrated, on the eighth day, as well (1 Kings 8:62-66).  The very night following the dedication of the Temple, on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot), the Father of Truth appeared to Solomon, and promised a new beginning, for anyone, who would repent with their whole heart (2 Chronicles 7:8-14).  There was a new beginning, for people of Israel meeting with the Father of Truth at the first Temple again, when it was rededicated, on the eighth day, during the time of Hezekiah (2 Chronicles 29:15-17).  There was a new beginning, of meeting with the Father of Truth at the Temple, when the dedication of the second Temple was finished, on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles, during the time of Nehemiah (Nehemiah 8:14-18).  There will be a new beginning, for the sacrifices in the Temple, at the beginning of the Millennium, when the altar will finish being consecrated, on the eighth day (Ezekiel 43:25-27).

In like manner, a person who is healed of leprosy, will have a new beginning, as a clean person, on the eighth day, of being healed (Leviticus 14:2-11).  It is on the eighth day, that this new beginning, as a clean person, is marked by anointing the person cleansed of leprosy (Leviticus 14:23-32).  In the same manner, anyone who is healed of any ongoing issue of bodily fluids, will have a new beginning, as a clean person, on the eighth day, of being healed (Leviticus 15:13-15).  Also a woman, who has an issue of blood that lasts beyond her normal monthly period, will have an new beginning, as a clean woman, on the eighth day, of being healed (Leviticus 15:25-30).  Also, anyone who takes a Nazarite vow, who is then made unclean, by someone dying suddenly in their presence, will have a new beginning, as a Nazarite, on the eighth day, after being defiled (Numbers 6:2-12).

Similarly on the eighth day, after telling the twelve original Apostles of Truth that he would die and rise again, he showed three of them, that he was the new beginning, that was foreshadowed by Moses and Elijah (Eliyahu) (Luke 9:22-35).  Then on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles, the last and great day of the feast, the Man of Truth told all of Israel, that he was bringing a new beginning, where the Spirit of Truth would live in the Children of Truth (John 7:37-39).  On the eighth day, after the Man of Truth rose again from the dead, he showed himself to Thomas the Jew (Toma aka Didymus aka the Apostle Thomas), to remove all doubt that he had brought about, a new beginning, whereby everyone in the human race, could be made clean from sin (John 20:26-31).

All of these events foreshadow the Day of New Beginnings, but it is the Feast of Tabernacles that best tells about the Day of New Beginnings.

The Feast of Tabernacles ends with a Sabbath, on the eighth day, of this Feast of Truth (Moedim aka Feasts of the Father of Truth) (Leviticus 23:34-37).  It marks the end of dwelling in booths (tabernacles) in the presence of the Father of Truth (Leviticus 23:39-42).  On the seventh day, the count down of bullocks offered has been completed, but on the eighth day, there is only one bullock, and half as many rams and lambs, because it marks the day of new beginnings (Numbers 29:12-36).

The Feast of Tabernacles is also known as the ingathering, that marks the end of the agricultural year (Exodus 23:16).  This feasts marks the end of the harvest of the grapes, instead of marking the beginning of the harvest of grains, like First Fruits (Bikkurim) and Pentecost (Shavuot) (Exodus 34:22).  The earth (land) is to be given a rest every seventh year, that begins after the grapes had been harvested, at the end of the six year (Leviticus 25:2-5).  The Feast of Tabernacles only occurs at the end of the grape harvest, and is marked by rejoicing that harvest for that year is coming to a close (Deuteronomy 16:13-15).  Since the seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles is not a Sabbath day, and harvesting can still occur on that day, then the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles. of the sixth year, that is a Sabbath when all work ceases, is the first day of rest for the earth (land) that begins the year of year of rest.  So the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles, is the day of new beginnings, for the earth (land).

Not only is the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles, that ends the sixth year, the day of new beginnings for the land, but it is also the day of new beginnings for the Children of Truth.  Every dept is to be wiped out in the seventh year, when the land rests, and every Child of Truth is to go free in that year (Deuteronomy 15:1-18).  This new beginning, starts on the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles, that ends the sixth year and begins the seventh year when the land rests (Deuteronomy 31:10).   So the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles, is the day of new beginnings, for the Children of Truth.

You see the Feasts of Truth all work together to tell an amazing story.  The Feast of Tabernacles is the final act in the Greatest Play Ever and the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles is the grand finale, not just of the final act, but of the entire play.  The Feast of Tabernacles involves the entire human race, and for this reason every nation will have to come to Jerusalem, and observe it during the reign of the Man of Truth (Zechariah 14:16-19).

The Man of Truth understood what the Feast of Tabernacles represented, and knew that it could not truly be kept, until the time came when the people of Israel accepted him as the Messiah of Israel (John 7:2-8).  He also understood that the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles, represented the Day of New Beginnings.

The seven days of dwelling in booths, represents the complete reign of the Man of Truth, over the Earth for a thousand years (Revelation 20:1-6).  After a thousand years of peace and prosperity is completed, then the Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) will be released for a short while, to expose all who secretly despise the reign of the Man of Truth (Revelation 20:7-9).  After the human race is finally purged, of the very last rebels against the Father of Truth, then all rebels against the Father of Truth, from all time, will be resurrected, and cast into the Lake of Fire (Revelation 20:10-15).  It will be the end of all trouble that marks the sunset of this universe, and the start of the Day of New Beginnings.

The Day of New Beginnings, is day when the Father of Truth will make the Earth to be brand new again, and all of the Children of Truth will never again, remember the troubles of this Earth (Isaiah 65:16-18).  In this New Earth, everyone will come to be in His prescence at the end of each week, and the beginning of each month (Isaiah 66:22-23).  In the Day of New Beginnings, this entire universe will melt away, and be replaced with a New Universe, where only those who do what He says is right, will live (2 Peter 3:10-13).  The Day of New Beginnings, will be the day, when the Father of Truth begins to live among the human race on a New Earth, and brings an end to every cause of sorrow, for the Children of Truth (Revelation 21:1-4).

The Day of New Beginnings, will be the day that the Earth begins to enjoy an eternal rest from the decay, that comes from sin.  The Day of New Beginnings, will be the day that the human race is finally free forever, from the bondage of sin.  The Day of New Beginnings, will be a new beginning for the Earth, the universe, and the Children of Truth.  It will be the best day ever!

The Day of New Beginnings, will only be the best day ever, for those who come into the House of Truth.  For everyone else, it will be the worst day ever.  The Day of New Beginnings, can only come after the end of all trouble, and that will be a very bad day, for everyone who is not in the House of Truth.

You do not need to wait a thousand years, for the Day of New Beginnings, to have a new beginning.  You can come into the House of Truth, and experience freedom from the bondage of sin, today (John 8:34-36).  You can come into the House of Truth today, by surrendering your life to the Man of Truth, because you believe, that his Father raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9).  When you come into the House of Truth, you will have a new beginning, as a Child of Truth, and your old life will pass away (2 Corinthians 5:17).  The Father of Truth has delayed, the Day of New Beginnings, so that as many people as possible, can come into the House of Truth (2 Peter 3:7-9).  The Man of Truth wants you to come into the House of Truth, so that he can make all things new for you, on the Day of New Beginnings (Revelation 21:5-7).  The Spirit of Truth is urging you to come into the House of Truth, so that you will be able to say, that the Day of New Beginnings, is the best day ever (Revelation 22:17)!

Come into the House of Truth!
