Jude the Son of Mary

What did Jude the son of Mary teach and do?

Papias of Hierapolis, who was born before John the Jew died, says that Jude the son of Mary was not brother of the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ), but was the brother of James the son of Alphaeus.  He gives the same identity to Thaddaeus, one of The Twelve.

This would make Jude the son of Mary and Thaddeus the same person with two different names – one Hebrew and one Greek – which was very common.

Clement of Alexandria wrote perhaps thirty years later that Jude the son of Mary was the brother of James the son of Mary and the son of Joseph, but he was the brother of the Man of Truth.

About two hundred years later, Epiphanius wrote that Jude the son of Mary, his three brothers, and two sisters, were from a wife that Joseph the Jew had before he married Mary the Jew.  He wrote that Joseph the Jew was eighty years old when he married Mary the Jew and incapable of having sex with her.

In the Acts of Thomas and the Gospel of Thomas, Jude the son of Mary is said to actually be Thomas the Jew.

Hegesippus tells of the persecution of the descendants of Jude the son of Mary during the time of Domitian.  This persecution consisted of this:

Emperor Domitian feared one of the descendants of King David would produce a king that would end his reign.  So, Emperor Domitian issued a decree for all descendants of King David to be killed.

So, some false teachers accused that two of the grandchildren of Jude the son of Mary were descendants of King David and blood relatives of the Man of Truth, who was the king that would come from King David.  So, a retired soldier brought them to Emperor Domitian to examine them himself.

Emperor Domitian questioned them and found them to incapable of being a threat.  They also informed him that the Man of Truth would not set up his kingdom until the end of the age – far in the future. So, he ordered an end to persecution of the descendants of David and sent them back home.

After returning home, they became rulers of the congregation at Jerusalem.  They continued doing this until the reign of Emperor Trajan.

Eusebius relates that these grandchildren of Jude the son of Mary were later martyred around end of the reign of Emperor Trajan in 117 AD.

However, Epiphanius says that one of them, Judah Kyriakos, was the head of the congregation at Jerusalem.  This lasted until Jews were banned from Jerusalem by Emperor Hadrian near the end of the Bar Kochba revolt in 135 AD.

Salamis also relates that the False Church of Rome then made one of their own to be the head of the congregation of Jerusalem.   Judah Kyriakos continued to live outside of Jerusalem until his death in 148 AD.

So, according to the Renewed Covenant, what did Jude the son of Mary teach and do?

2 BC (Jerusalem):

Six weeks after his birth, Mary the Jew presented the Man of Truth to the Father of Truth in the Temple and redeemed him as required by the Law of Truth (Luke 2:22-24).

After this, Joseph the Jew and Mary the Jew were finally able to have sex with each other (Matthew 1:25).

1 AD (Bethlehem):

However, when the Angel of Truth warned Joseph the Jew to flee with Mary the Jew and the Man of Truth to Egypt, they did not have any other children yet (Matthew 2:13-14).

1 AD (Nazareth):

When Joseph the Jew returned to Nazareth with Mary the Jew and the Man of Truth they had not yet had any more children (Matthew 2:22-23).

11 AD (Judea):

When Joseph the Jew and Mary the Jew looked for the Man of Truth among their family and friends in the company that they traveled with, so Jude son of Mary could have also been among them as well (Luke 2:44-45).

29 AD (Cana):

The Man of Truth turned the water into wine (John 2:6-10).  After he performed this miracle, Jude the son of Mary left with him to go to Capernaum (John 2:11-12).

29 AD (Near the Sea of Galilee):

Jude the son of Mary and the rest of the family of the Man of Truth, sought to lay hold of him because they thought that he was out of his mind (Mark 3:21).

[The Greek phrase translated "his friends" is not the word for friends, but literally "those near him" - which would mean his family.  This is confirmed by what happens afterwards.]

Mary the Jew and her children - including Jude the son of Mary - sought to enter the house to speak with him (Matthew 12:46-50).  When his followers told him this, he asked them who was his mother, brothers, and sisters (Mark 3:31-35)?  Then he answered that his mother, brothers, and sisters were those who did the will of his Father - his followers (Luke 8:19-21).

[In these passages the Greek word translated as "brethren" is "adelphos" - which literally means "from the same womb".  It was the womb of Mary the Jew that the brothers of the Man of Truth came from.]

29 AD (Nazareth):

When the Man of Truth taught in his home synagogue, the people could not understand where his wisdom and power to work miracles came from (Matthew 13:54-56).  Jude the son of Mary, his mother, and her other children, still lived among them - unlike his followers who came with him for a visit (Mark 6:1-3).

[In these passages the Greek word translated as "brethren" is "adelphos" - which literally means "from the same womb".  The Greek word translated as "sisters" is "adelphe" - which also literally means "from the same womb".  It was the womb of Mary the Jew that the brothers and sisters of the Man of Truth came from.]

30 AD (Nazareth):

When it came time for the Feast of Tabernacles, Jude the son of Mary and his brothers still did not believe that Man of Truth, their brother, was the Messiah of Israel (John 7:2-5).  So, they left for Jerusalem without him, but he went later (John 7:6-10).

31 AD (Golgotha - outside Jerusalem):

When the Man of Truth was dying on the cross at Passover, he told Mary the Jew that John the Jew would take care of her in his place (John 19:25-26).  Then he told John the Jew to take care of her in his place and John the Jew took her into his home (John 19:27).

(Jude the son of Mary was not with his mother at the foot of the cross.)

31 AD (Near Jerusalem):

Then the Man of Truth appeared to Peter the Jew, before showing himself to the rest of the remaining eleven of The Twelve (1 Corinthians 15:4).

(Jude the son of Mary was not one of The Twelve who had been at the last supper.)

31 AD (Galilee):

After this, more than five hundred people saw the Man of Truth at one time (1 Corinthians 15:5).

Finally the Man of Truth was seen by Jude the son of Mary, who became an Apostle of Truth, after his brother James the son of Mary (1 Corinthians 15:6).

So, Jude the son of Mary was at least three years younger than the Man of Truth. He had seen the miracle at the wedding at Cana, but he did not believe that the Man of Truth had performed it.

Jude the son of Mary thought the Man of Truth had lost his mind and had sought to stop him from carrying out his mission.  He did not believe in the Man of Truth despite the many miracles that he had performed around his hometown.  He did not believe in the Man of Truth even after the many miracles that had been performed by the last Feast of Tabernacles before the crucifixion.

Jude the son of Mary was not with the Man of Truth when he ate his final Passover meal.   He was not there for the Man of Truth when he was dying on the cross.  He did not believe in the Man of Truth until the Man of Truth appeared to him and proved to Jude the son of Mary that he had risen from the dead.

31 AD (Jerusalem):

The followers of the Man of Truth met with remaining eleven of the Twelve in the upper room to continue in prayer together, including Jude the son of Mary and his brothers (Acts 1:12-14).

During this time, Jude the son of Mary and his brothers were part of the 120 followers of the Man of Truth present when it was announced that the vacancy in the Twelve that Judas the Traitor had left empty needed to be filled (Acts 1:15-20).  Jude the son of Mary was not considered because he had not followed the Man of Truth from the time of his baptism by John the Baptist (Acts 1:21-26).

Jude the son of Mary and his brothers were among the Galileans that devout Jews from across the world heard speaking in their own language when the baptism of the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost) was poured out (Acts 2:1-11).   He was one of those who remained in the Temple and to meet house to house to learn from the Apostles of Truth while sharing everything in common (Acts 2:42-47).

Jude the son of Mary was part the company that Peter the Jew and John the Jew return to be with (Acts 4:23-30).  He was one of those filled with the Spirit of Truth who spoke with great boldness when their meeting place was shaken (Acts 4:31).  He also shared all he had with the rest of the Children of Truth (Acts 4:32-35).

32 AD (Jerusalem):

Jude the son of Mary was part of the congregation that great fear fell upon after Ananias and Sapphira died for lying to the Spirit of Truth (Acts 5:5-11).  He was in the Temple when signs and wonders were done at the hands of the Apostles of Truth (Acts 5:12-14).  His house was one of those that the Apostles of Truth taught in after being persecuted in the Temple (Acts 5:40-42).

Jude the son of Mary was part of the multitude of believers who were pleased when Stephen the Jew was selected as one of the seven to administer food to the widows (Acts 6:1-6).  He witnessed the congregation continued to grow greatly in size as Stephen the Jew performed signs and wonders (Acts 6:7-8).

33 AD (Jerusalem):

Jude the son of Mary heard of the unjust trial and stoning of Stephen the Jew (Acts 7:57-60).

Persecution from Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul aka the Apostle Paul) caused the believers to be scattered from Jerusalem, except for the Apostles of Truth - which appears to have included Jude the son of Mary (Acts 8:1).  He was among those who made great lamentation when Stephen the Jew was buried (Acts 8:2).

Jude the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth sent John the Jew and Peter the Jew to baptize the Samaritans in the Spirit of Truth (Acts 8:14-16).  He was waiting for them when they returned from preaching to the Samaritans (Acts 8:25).

Jude the son of Mary went from not believing that the Man of Truth was the Messiah of Israel to being one of the Apostles of Truth in as little as two years.

37 AD (Jerusalem):

Jude the son of Mary witnessed Barnabas the Jew bring Paul the Jew to the Apostles of Truth in Jerusalem (Acts 9:26-28).  His brother James the son of Mary was an Apostle of Truth when Paul the Jew stayed with was Peter the Jew and then met him (Galatians 1:18-19).

Jude the son of Mary watched as Paul the Jew had to flee to Tarsus and the congregations in Israel entered into a period of rest from persecution (Acts 9:29-31).

42 AD (Jerusalem):

Peter the Jew told Jude the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth in Jerusalem about how the Gentiles had come into the House of Truth (Acts 11:1-17).  Jude the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth declared that the Gentiles had been allowed to come into the House of Truth without being circumcised (Acts 11:18).

Jude the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth sent Barnabas the Jew out to Antioch to help organize Jews and Gentiles into a single congregation (Acts 11:20-23).

43 AD (Jerusalem):

Jude the son of Mary witnessed Agabus the Jew and the other Prophets of Truth go down to Antioch to warn the Children of Truth to prepare for a famine that would come across the entire Roman Empire (Acts 11:27-28).

44 AD (Jerusalem):

Jude the son of Mary partook of the relief that the congregation in Antioch sent to Jerusalem by Barnabas the Jew and Paul the Jew (Acts 11:29-30).

Jude the son of Mary experienced the persecution of the congregation in Jerusalem by King Herod Agrippa I that included arresting and killing Jude the son of Zebedee (Acts 12:1-2).

Jude the son of Mary was among those praying for the release of Peter the Jew when Peter the Jew was also arrested by King Herod Agrippa I (Acts 12:3-5).  He was told that their prayers were answered by an Angel of Truth freeing Peter the Jew from the prison (Acts 12:11-17).

Peter the Jew gave instructions to make sure that James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth, including Jude the son of Mary, were told before he went into hiding (Acts 12:17).  He heard about how King Herod Agrippa I blamed the soldiers for his escape and killed them before leaving Jerusalem (Acts 12:18-19).

Jude the son of Mary witnessed Barnabas the Jew and Paul the Jew leave Jerusalem with Mark the Jew (Acts 12:25).  He saw Mark the Jew return to Jerusalem after abandoning the mission (Acts 13:13).

James the son of Mary, the brother of Jude the son of Mary, appears to have taken the place of Jude the son of Zebedee in the inner circle that included Peter the Jew and John the Jew after James the son of Zebedee was killed.

48 AD (Jerusalem):

Barnabas the Jew and Paul the Jew return to Jerusalem to get a ruling from James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth, including Jude the son of Mary, concerning whether the Gentiles had to be circumcised to be saved and to tell them about how the Gentiles had responded to the Good News (Acts 15:1-4).  Jude the son of Mary heard the accusation of the Pharisee Children of Truth who said that the Gentiles had to be circumcised and keep the whole Law of Truth to be saved when the Apostles of Truth met to decide the matter (Acts 15:5-6).

Jude the son of Mary heard the testimony of Peter the Jew concerning the Gentiles being baptized by the Spirit of Truth without being circumcised (Acts 15:7-11). He heard the testimony of Barnabas the Jew and Paul the Jew concerning how the Father of Truth had confirmed the Gospel that they preached to the Gentiles with signs and wonders (Acts 15:12).  James the son of Mary, the brother of Jude the son of Mary, gave the ruling that the Gentiles did not need to be circumcised and keep the whole Law of Truth to be saved, but only the moral part (Acts 15:13-21).

Jude the son of Mary heard his brother, James the son of Mary, verify that that the Gospel that Paul the Jew had learned from the Man of Truth was the same as that taught by him and the other Apostles of Truth (Galatians 2:1-6).

James the son of Mary, the brothers of Jude the son of Mary, was one of the three pillars who confirmed that Paul the Jew should continue to preach to the Gentiles, while they preached to the Jews (Galatians 2:7-9).  Jude the son of Mary heard his brother, James the son of Mary, and the other two pillars asked that Paul the Jew take up collections from the Gentiles to help the poor persecuted followers of the Man of Truth in Israel, which he was eager to do (Galatians 2:10).

Jude the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth sent Paul the Jew with Barnabas the Jew, Judas Barsabas, and Silas the Jew with a letter that contained the ruling on the Gentiles to distribute to all the congregations (Acts 15:22-29).

Jude the son of Mary witnessed Peter the Jew leave to go to Antioch and then witnessed his brother, James the son of Mary, send other Jewish Children of Truth to Antioch as well (Galatians 2:11-13).

49 AD (Jerusalem):

Jude the son of Mary witnessed Mark the Jew leave to go with Barnabas the Jew to help deliver the letter with the ruling on the Gentiles to the congregations in Cyprus (Acts 15:37-39).  (Paul the Jew and Silas the Jew delivered the letter with the ruling on the Gentiles to the other congregations (Acts 16:4-6).

52 AD (Jerusalem):

Paul the Jew came up to Jerusalem after his second mission trip and reported what he had accomplished to James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth, including Jude the son of Mary (Acts 18:21-22).  John the Jew left with him to oversee the gathering of the collections from the Gentile congregations to the help the poor persecuted followers of the Man of Truth in Israel (2 Corinthians 8:18-21).  Peter the Jew also left with him to bring the Good News to the Jews outside of Israel, starting with those in Galatia (1 Peter 1:1).

57 AD (Jerusalem):

Paul the Jew returned to Jerusalem after his third mission trip and met with the congregation led by James the son of Mary, the brother of Jude the son of Mary (Acts 21:17).

Jude the son of Mary was there the next day, when Paul the Jew reported to James the son of Mary and the elders of the congregation when he brought the collections from the Gentile congregations to the help the poor persecuted followers of the Man of Truth in Israel (Acts 21:18-19).

Then Jude the son of Mary saw his brother, James the son of Mary, and the elders of the congregation tell Paul the Jew about the accusation that he was teaching Jews to not circumcise their children and to not keep the whole Law of Truth (Acts 21:20-21).  They then told Paul the Jew that he needed to help pay the expenses of fulfilling a vow and go to the Temple to show that he taught no such thing, but he also kept the whole Law of Truth (Acts 21:22-24).

Jude the son of Mary heard his brother, James the son of Mary, and the elders of the congregation confirm again that the Gentile Children of Truth did not need to be circumcised and keep the whole Law of Truth to be saved (Acts 21:25).

So, Jude the son of Mary knew that Paul the Jew did as his brother, Jude the son of Mary, and the elders of the congregation said, so the Jewish Children of Truth would know that Paul the Jew taught no such thing, but he also kept the whole Law of Truth (Acts 21:26).

James the son of Mary became the sole head of the Jerusalem congregation with his brother Jude the son of Mary present to help him.  He was over as the world-wide headquarters of the church of his brother, the Man of Truth.  Even Paul the Jew recognized the authority of James the son of Mary - the brother of Jude the son of Mary.

57 AD (Jerusalem):

Jude the son of Mary witnessed Jews from Asia falsely accuse Paul the Jew in the Temple of bringing Trophimus the Gentile into the court of the Israelites in the Temple (Acts 21:27-29).  He saw the angry mob of unbelieving Jews take Paul the Jew out of the Temple as required by the Law of Truth for polluting the Temple, but without a trial as required by the Law of Truth (Acts 21:30-31).

Jude the son of Mary witnessed the Roman captain lead an army in rescuing Paul the Jew and carrying him to the stairs of the Antonian Fortress, while the angry mob of unbelieving Jews called out for the death of Paul the Jew (Acts 21:31-36).  He saw the Roman captain give Paul the Jew permission to speak to the crowd and heard Paul the Jew begin to speak to them in Hebrew (Acts 21:37-40).

Jude the son of Mary witnessed Paul the Jew give his testimony to the listening crowd (Acts 22:1-20).  He saw the crowd of unbelieving Jews turn angry again and demand the death of Paul the Jew when he told them that the Man of Truth was sending him to the Gentiles (Acts 22:21-23).

Jude the son of Mary witnessed the Roman captain have Paul the Jew bound to examine him by scourging and then have Paul the Jew freed from his chains after learning that he was a Roman citizen (Acts 22:24-29).  He saw the Roman captain command the Chief Priests and the Sanhedrin to come to the Roman court to try Paul the Jew (Acts 22:30).

Jude the son of Mary witnessed Ananias the High Priest have the Temple guards hit Paul the Jew in the mouth when he began his defense (Acts 23:1-2).  He heard Paul the Jew prophesy that the Father of Truth would strike down Ananias the High Priest for having him struck contrary to the Law of Truth (Acts 23:3).  He heard Paul the Jew say that he was unaware that Ananias was the High Priest when he prophesied against him (Acts 23:4-5).

[Ananias (Ananus son of Ananus) had usurped position of High Priest after Felix the Roman governor had the former High Priest Jonathan murdered.  He took over this position until King Herod Agrippa II approved of Ishmael son of Fabus as the replacement for Jonathan. Also, the Romans had taken away the right of the High Priest to conduct trials and gave it to the Nasi, the head of the Sanhedrin, which was a Pharisee.  So, Ananias was usurping both the position of High Priest and that of the Nasi when he put Paul the Jew on trial.]

Jude the son of Mary witnessed Paul the Jew cry out to the Sanhedrin that he was a Pharisee and was only on trial because he taught the resurrection of the dead (Acts 23:6).  He saw the Pharisees take up the side of Paul the Jew and the Sadducees try to kill him until the Romans rescued him again (Acts 23:7-10).

Jude the son of Mary heard of how the Man of Truth told Paul the Jew that he would go to testify of him in Rome (Acts 23:11).  He heard of how the Sadducees plotted to kill Paul the Jew, but the nephew of Paul the Jew learned of the plot and warned the Roman captain (Acts 23:12-22).  He heard of how the Roman captain sent Paul the Jew by night to Caesarea to be tried there (Acts 23:23-35).

57 AD (Caesarea):

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees brought a lawyer with him, who accused Paul the Jew before the Roman governor of polluting the Temple and causing a riot (Acts 24:1-9).  He heard of how Paul the Jew defended himself by saying that they had no proof of their accusations and the only reason that he was on trial was because he taught the resurrection of the dead (Acts 24:10-21).  He heard of how the Roman governor then gave Paul the Jew liberty to see his friends, which included Jude the son of Mary, until the Roman captain could be questioned (Acts 24:22-23).

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew witnessed to Felix the Roman governor and Drusilla his Jewish wife about the Man of Truth (Acts 24:24-25).

59 AD (Caesarea):

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew had remained in custody of the Romans until Festus replace Felix as the Roman governor because he refused to pay Felix a bribe (Acts 24:26-27).

59 AD (Jerusalem):

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees tried to persuade Festus the Roman governor to bring Paul the Jew up to Jerusalem for trial, so they could kill him on the way to trial (Acts 25:1-3).  He heard of how the Roman governor told them that they would have to come to Caesarea, so Paul the Jew could be tried in a Roman court (Acts 25:4-5).

59 AD (Caesarea):

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees went down to Caesarea to falsely accuse Paul the Jew of the same things as before (Acts 25:6-7).  He heard of how Paul the Jew again defended himself by saying that they had no proof of their accusations (Acts 25:8).

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Festus the Roman governor tried to get Paul the Jew to go to Jerusalem to stand trial before Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees, but Paul the Jew appealed to Caesar (Acts 25:9-11).  He heard of how the Roman governor said the Paul the Jew would be sent to Rome to appear before Caesar (Acts 25:12).

Jude the son of Mary heard of how King Herod Agrippa II and his sister Bernice came to visit Festus the Roman governor (Acts 25:13).  He heard of how the Roman governor explained to them how Paul the Jew had appealed to Caesar to avoid being tried in Jerusalem before Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees (Acts 25:14-21).

Jude the son of Mary heard of how King Herod Agrippa II agreed to hear Paul the Jew himself (Acts 25:22).  He heard of how Paul the Jew was brought before King Herod Agrippa II, so he could hear the case of Paul the Jew (Acts 25:23-27).

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew told King Herod Agrippa II that he was a Pharisee and had only been on trial because he taught the resurrection of the dead (Acts 26:1-8).  He heard of how Paul the Jew proceeded to tell the king how he had became a follower of the Man of Truth who was sent to preach the Good News to the Gentiles (Acts 26:9-18).  He heard of how Paul the Jew ended his defense by saying that it was for preaching the resurrection of the Man of Truth from the dead to the Gentiles that false accusations had been raised against him (Acts 26:19-23).

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Festus the Roman governor accused Paul the Jew of being mad, but Paul the Jew replying that he was telling the truth (Acts 26:24-25).  He heard of how Paul the Jew then told King Herod Agrippa II that everything he said about the Man of Truth had been written about by the Prophets of Truth (Acts 26:26-27).

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew tried to persuade King Herod Agrippa II, his sister Bernice, Festus the Roman governor, and everyone else at his trial to come into the House of Truth (Acts 26:28-29).  He heard how King Herod Agrippa II found Paul the Jew innocent and would have freed him if he had not appealed to Caesar (Acts 26:30-32).

Jude the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew was put in ship to be taken to Rome for his appeal to Caesar (Acts 27:1-2).

Jude the son of Mary could have witnessed most of these things that happened to Paul the Jew, but there is no doubt he heard of them at the very least.  He knew how Ananias the High Priest and the other Sadducees had sought to kill Paul the Jew based on false accusations without a fair trial but had been prevented by the Romans.  He understood that Ananias the High Priest and the other Sadducees would do this to other believers if there was ever a time without Roman oversight.

60 AD (Rome):

Paul the Jew arrived in Rome but was not put in the prison there while he waited for his appeal to Caesar (Acts 28:16).

Paul the Jew then met with the Jewish religious leaders of Rome and told them about the Good News, which some of them believed (Acts 28:17-24).  He told those Jews who did not believe that he was going to bring the Good News to the Gentiles of Rome (Acts 28:25-29).

Paul the Jew rented a house during the two years, where he continued to preach the Good News to all who would hear him and teach them how to follow the Man of Truth, which Jude the Jew no doubt heard about from believing Jews coming to Jerusalem from Rome (Acts 28:30-31).

61 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary, the brother of Jude the son of Mary, wrote his epistle to believers from the twelve tribes of Israel that were scattered outside of Israel from the world-wide headquarters of the church (James 1:1).  He wrote to those Jewish believers who gathered together in synagogues due to the efforts of the other Apostles of Truth (James 2:1-2).

[This passage literally says "come into your synagogue".  The Greek word "sunogogen" translated as "assembly" is actually a form of "synagogue".  So, Jude the son of Mary was writing to Jewish believers throughout the Roman Empire, Parthian Empire, and beyond.]

Jews had brought the Good News back to other Jews from Jerusalem as far east as Parthia and Persia, as far south as Mesopotamia, Arabia, and Egypt, as far west as Cyrene in Libya and Rome, and as far north as Pontus (Acts 2:8-11).  Then disciples of the Apostles of Truth brought the Good News to Jews as far north as Cyprus, as far east as Antioch, and as far west as Cyrene in Libya (Acts 11:19-20).

Peter the Jew had established Jewish congregations in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia (1 Peter 1:1).  He had also established a congregation in Babylon (1 Peter 5:13).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jews in the synagogues of Salamis in Crete (Acts 13:4-5). He preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Antioch in Pisidia (Acts 13:14-15).  He had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Iconium in Galatia (Acts 14:1).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jews who met beside the river near Philippi in Macedonia on the Sabbath because they did not have enough men to form a synagogue (Acts 16:12-14).  He had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Thessaloniki in Macedonia (Acts 17:1-2).  He had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Berea in Macedonia (Acts 17:10-12).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Athens in Achaia (Acts 17:16-17).  He had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Corinth in Achaia (Acts 18:1-5).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Ephesus in Asia (Acts 18:19).  He preached again in the synagogue of Ephesus in Asia when he returned and then taught in the yeshiva (school of disputing) of Tyrannus (Acts 19:1-9).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jewish religious leaders of Rome in Italy (Acts 28:16-24).

John the Jew had established congregations through the Roman providence of Asia as well (Revelation 1:11).

So, James the son of Mary and his brother of Jude the son of Mary, helped the Good News to be taken to where 88% of the Jews in the world lived by serving as the head of the world-wide headquarters of the church from Jerusalem - the capital of the Jewish world.  He settled disputes between Jewish believers over things like what Gentiles had to do to be saved.

In addition, the congregation that James the son of Mary, the brother of Jude the son of Mary, led continued to tell Jews from all over the world who came to each of the three main Feasts of Truth each year.  His epistle could have been sent to some of them as well.

(By this time, the Good News had only been taken to where less than 10% of the Gentiles in the world lived. The church was very much a Jewish institution that had more Jews than Gentiles and was led almost completely by Jews.)

61 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary, the brother of Jude the son of Mary, warned the Jewish Children of Truth to persevere through the persecution that was rising in Jerusalem and across the Jewish world (James 1:2-4).  He told them to endure through suffering because that made them like the Prophets of Truth (James 5:7-11).

James the son of Mary, the brother of Jude the son of Mary, said that the Jewish Children of Truth were being oppressed and taken to court by rich unbelieving Jews because they followed the Man of Truth (James 2:5-7).  However, he warned these rich unbelieving Jews that they would face terrible judgment by the Father of Truth for their economic oppression of the Jewish Children of Truth as well as condemning them in the Jewish courts and killing them unjustly (James 5:1-6).

62 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary was martyred and his brother Jude the son of Mary replaced him as the head of the headquarters of the world-wide church until Jerusalem was destroyed (Jude 1:1).

67 AD (Jerusalem):

Jude the son of Mary continued to lead the congregation in Jerusalem until he led them out of Jerusalem when the Romans began increasing their army around Jerusalem as the Man of Truth had instructed (Luke 21:20-22).

So, what did Jude the son of Mary teach?

Jude the son of Mary wrote to the same people that his brother James the son of Mary had written to and exhorted them to continue in the faith that had been delivered to them by the Apostles of Truth (Jude 1:1-3).

Jude the son of Mary warned them against Teachers of Lies within their congregations who taught that the grace of the Father of Truth was a license to sin and denied the Man of Truth with their actions (Jude 1:4).

Jude the son of Mary reminded them that the Father of Truth had destroyed those He had previously delivered when they turned from following Him (Jude 1:5).  He reminded them of what happened to the Angels of Lies who rebelled against the government of the Father of Truth and the people of Sodom who practiced sexual immorality (Jude 1:6-7).

Jude the son of Mary warned them that these Teachers of Lies would also suffer fiery judgment for their rebellion and slander of their rulers as well as their sexual immorality (Jude 1:8).  He told them that even Michael the Chief Angel of Truth did not slander the Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) like they slander their rulers (Jude 1:9).

Jude the son of Mary warned them that these Teachers of Lies did not know what they were saying, but instead acted like dumb animals in their pursuit of money and followers like the Prophets of Lies had done long ago (Jude 1:10-11).  He warned that even though they were in the congregations of the Children of Truth, they did not follow the Man of Truth (Jude 1:12-13).

Jude the son of Mary reminded them that these Teachers of Lies would be destroyed just like the Man of Truth will destroy the Children of Lies when he returns (Jude 1:14-15).  He warned that this would happen to them because they were only interested their own selfish desires (Jude 1:16).

Jude the son of Mary reminded them that the Apostles of Truth, like his brother James the son of Mary, had warned that that these Teachers of Lies would rise up in the congregations of the Children of Truth (Jude 1:17-19).

Jude the son of Mary exhorted them to continue in praying in tongues, keep themselves away from these Teachers of Lies, and rescue others from being destroyed by following these Teachers of Lies (Jude 1:20-23).  He reminded them that only by following the Father of Truth could they be kept from the destruction that would come upon these Teachers of Lies (Jude 1:24-25).

The teachings of Jude the son of Mary are contrary to what the False Church of Rome and others teach.

Jude the son of Mary warned believers to follow the teachings of the Apostles of Truth.  He told them to avoid these Teachers of Lies who gave people a license to sin.  He warned that any of the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) who returned to a life of sin would be destroyed.

Jude the son of Mary warned that these Teachers of Lies would be among the Children of Truth, but they were really Children of Lies who did not follow the Man of Truth.  He warned that they would receive eternal punishment in Hell and the Lake of Fire like all of the Children of Lies (those who disobey the Father of Truth because they do not love Him).

Jude the son of Mary warned that these Teachers of Lies would deceive the Children of Truth into become their followers and giving them money.  He warned the Children of Truth to rescue people who were following these Teachers of Lies to eternal damnation.

Jude the son of Mary exhorted the Children of Truth to continue in practices like speaking in tongues that these Teachers of Lies forbade.  He exhorted them to separate themselves from these Teachers of Lies by doing what the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) commanded, so they would not suffer eternal judgment with these Teachers of Lies.

Jude the son of Mary warned believers against those who formed the doctrine of the False Church of Rome.  He urged them to continue in the teachings of the Apostles of Truth instead.

This included practices of the False Church of Rome like selling indulgences – where someone paid money for a license to commit certain sins.  This included practices like issuing absolutions – forgiveness ahead of time for committing sins that advanced the cause of the False of Church of Rome.

This included doctrines of the False Church of Rome that contradict the doctrine of the Apostles of Truth - like speaking in tongues ended with the last of the Apostles of Truth.  This also included doctrines that the commandments of the Father of Truth contained in the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) were made null and void.

Although the False Church of Rome claims to be part of the Children of Truth, it has denied the Man of Truth with its actions.  Ruling over their followers like kings and enriching their coffers to build expensive buildings is contrary to the example set by the Apostles of Truth in every way.

So, Jude the son of Mary was nothing like the founders of the False Church of Rome claimed.

The Twelve are listed in the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 10:2-4).  The Twelve have the same names in the Gospel of Mark (Mark 3:14-19).  Eleven of The Twelve have the same names in the Gospel of Luke, with Thaddaeus being called Jude the son of James as explained below (Luke 6:13-16).  The Twelve minus Judas Iscariot have the same names in the Book of Acts (Acts 1:13).

Therefore the one translated as Jude the brother of James had to be the same as Thaddaeus.  Jude brother of James would be his Hebrew name, while Thaddaeus Lebbaeus would be his Greek name.  This was common like Shaul (Saul) being the Hebrew name used by Paulus (Paul) his Roman name.

However, “Jude the brother of James” is a mistranslation.  The Greek text actually says “Jude of James” in Luke and in Acts.  The phrase “the brother” does not occur and is so indicated by being in italics in the King James Version.

In ancient Greek documents when a man was of another man it almost always indicated the man was the son of the other man.  If there was different relationship then that was indicated by a word like “brother”.  It never was used without the word for “brother” to indicate that two men were brothers.

So, Thaddaeus Lebbaeus is the Greek name used as an alternative to the Hebrew name “Jude son of James”.  So, Jude the son of Mary was definitely not one of The Twelve.

Even if “Jude brother of James” had been correct, Jude the son of Mary still could not have been one of The Twelve.  His brother, James the son of Mary was specifically listed as seeing the resurrected Man of Truth after the Twelve saw him.  Again, Jude the son of Mary was definitely not Thaddaeus, one of The Twelve.

Papias of Hierapolis never knew Jude the son of Mary.  His only basis for Jude the son of Mary being the same person as Thaddaeus was based on the presumption that Jude the Apostle of Truth was not the son of Mary the Jew due to her being a perpetual virgin.

Jude the son of Mary was the son of Joseph the Jew and Mary the Jew ( Matthew 13:54-58).  He was from the same womb as the Man of Truth (Mark 6:1-4).

The only basis of the assertion of Clement of Alexandria that James the son of Mary was only the son of Joseph the Jew, but not of Mary the Jew, was due to the teaching that Mary the Jew remained a perpetual virgin after giving birth to the Man of Truth.  This could not be true if Jude was the biological brother of the Man of Truth.

Likewise, the only basis of the assertion Epiphanius that Jude the son of Mary and his siblings were from a previous wife of Joseph the Jew was due to the teaching that Mary the Jew died as a virgin.  This could not be true if Joseph the Jew married her at a young age and the Man of Truth was his firstborn son with Jude the son of Mary and his other siblings being born after him.

Also, the Acts of Thomas and the Gospel of Thomas were both written more than a hundred years after Thomas the Jew died.  These works were known to be frauds and rejected for this reason.  They only contain lies about Jude the son of Mary.

The list of those Jews who ran the church at Jerusalem until Jews were expelled from Jerusalem in 135 AD, was created by Eusebius.  He cited no sources or offered no explanation of where he got the names on his list.  Some of them even have overlapping times in office that create situations that are chronologically impossible.

More than that, Jerusalem no longer served as the world-wide headquarters of all believers after it and the Temple were destroyed in 70 AD.  There ceased to be any centralized place to settle disputes between believers, but instead believers had the Epistles to tell them the doctrine of the Apostles of Truth.

However, even his list ends with a descendant of Jude the son of Mary holding the office when it ended with the expulsion of the Jews from Jerusalem in 135 AD.  This would agree with Jude the son of Mary filling the office after his brother, James the son of Mary was martyred.

Jude the son of Mary became the head of the church in Jerusalem after his brother, James the son of Mary, was martyred.  This church served as headquarters of the world-wide church because it was in the capital of the Jewish world until Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed in 70 AD.

If his descendants continued to hold the office, then they could have been deemed worthy to have been brought before Emperor Domitian – if he really did set out to kill the descendants of King David.  The martyrdom of the descendant of Jude the son of Mary in 135 AD would also make sense.

Also, some modern scholars have tried to prove that the Epistle of Jude was not written by Jude the son of Mary, but they simply have no evidence to support their position.

So, do not be deceived by the False Church of Rome or anyone else concerning Jude the son of Mary.  Instead, do what he taught and did.

Contend for the faith that the Apostles of Truth demonstrated (Jude 1:3).  Remember that the Apostles of Truth warned us against those who walk after their own desires, but deceive people with their religious titles, religious clothing, and fine speeches (Jude 1:16-18).

Know that they cannot obey the commandments of the Father of Truth because they do not have the Spirit of Truth - while speaking in tongues builds up your faith to help you do so (Jude 1:19-21).  Have compassion by rescuing those following them, so they might know the exceeding joy of knowing the Father of Truth (Jude 1:22-25).

Separate yourself from the False Church of Rome and everything that it teaches.  Instead, get your doctrine from the Book of Truth, the whole Book of Truth, and nothing but the Book of Truth.

This all starts with coming into the House of Truth as the Apostles of Truth taught.

You can only keep the commandments of the Father of Truth found in the Law of Truth with the help of the Spirit of Truth (Romans 8:3-5).  It is impossible to keep these commandments without the help of the Spirit of Truth (Romans 8:6-8).  The Spirit of Truth is given to everyone who comes into the House of Truth so they can live a life that is pleasing to the Father of Truth (Romans 8:6-8).

So, come into the House of Truth by allowing the Man of Truth to reign over you because you believe that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10).  Do not let anyone forbid you from speaking in tongues - for this is the commandment of the Man of Truth through the Apostles of Truth (1 Corinthians 14:37-39).

Come into the House of Truth!
