The Living Dead

Is there any such thing as the living dead?

When I was a kid I watched lots of horror movies.  In particular, channel sixteen out of Joplin had a show that featured a horror movie every Friday night.  I often spent Friday night at my grandma Remington's house in town and would watch these horror shows with my uncle Tim over their cable.  (We only got two channels on the farm most of the time, channel five out of Fort Smith and channel eight out of Tulsa.)

Many of these horror movies featured the undead.  These were people who had died but somehow came to life at night to bring horror to living people.  These included things like vampires and zombies.  One particularly memorable zombie movie was "Night of The Living Dead".

In other movies, the undead were more sophisticated than mindless zombies.  Some of them, like Dracula, would sometimes pass themselves off as ordinary living people. They would interact with the living and went undetected among the living even though they were actually dead.  Eventually their true nature would be revealed and everyone could see that they were the living dead.

Of course, we would laugh at these movies.  They were just so silly.   The idea that people who were dead could somehow be among the living was absurd.  There is simply no such thing as the living dead.

Or is there?

The place to find the truth about the living dead is the same place where you find the truth about all things.  So what does the Book of Truth (The Bible) say about the living dead?

It says that those who have died have no more strength to do anything on this Earth (Psalm 88:4-5).   They have no more ability to interact with the living (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6).  They can accomplish nothing more upon the Earth (Ecclesiastes 9:10).  The dead cannot bring horror to those in the land of the living (Ezekiel 32:22-27).  Not even the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) was a threat to anyone as long as he was dead (Mark 15:43-45).

So there is no such thing as undead creatures like zombies or vampires that bring horror to the living.  However, the Book of Truth does tell about two other kinds of people who really are the living dead.  They are both dead and alive at the same time.

The Man of Truth said that people can be dead in two different ways (Matthew 8:21-22).  Their body can be alive while they are dead to the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) because of their sin (Luke 15:21-24).

Those who have their mind set upon fulfilling the desires of their bodies are dead to fulfilling the desires of the Father of Truth (Romans 8:5-7).  People who are only alive in a natural way can no more understand the things that come from Him than dead bodies can interact with the living (1 Corinthians 2:12-14).   You see as long as people live according to the desires of their flesh then they are dead to Him (Ephesians 2:1-3).  Anyone that lives for the pleasure of their flesh is part of the living dead (1 Timothy 5:6).

Some of these living dead even pass themselves off as being part of the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him).  Just as a body is dead without a spirit to give it life so also their faith in the Man of Truth is dead without any works to give it life (James 2:26).   These living dead congregate with the Children of Truth and join in their various events (Jude 1:12-13).  Sometimes there are even entire congregations that appear to be the Children of Truth but are really just the living dead (Revelation 3:1).

So the Children of Lies are the first kind of the living dead!

Yet there is another kind of living dead.  The Children of Truth are dead to sin because they died with the Man of Truth but they are alive to the Father of Truth (Romans 6:2-4).  They do not let sin control their bodies because they have died to sin (Romans 6:10-12).  Those who have their mind set upon fulfilling the desires of the Father of Truth are dead to fulfilling the desires of their bodies (Colossians 3:2-5).  Since they are dead to sin like the Man of Truth then they also can live a life of obedience to His Father like he did (1 Peter 2:21-24).

The Children of Truth live by the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost) dwelling in them to give them life (Romans 8:9-11).  The Spirit of Truth also gives them the ability to be dead to the desires of their bodies (Romans 8:12-14).  Since they follow the Spirit of Truth then they do not fulfill the desires of their bodies (Galatians 5:16).  They have crucified the desires of their bodies by being alive to the Spirit of Truth (Galatians 5:24-25).

So the Children of Truth are the second kind of the living dead!

So in a very real sense every person on Earth is one of these two kinds of the living dead.  They are either alive to the sinful desires of the bodies and dead to the Father of Truth or they are dead to the sinful desires of their bodies and alive to the Father of Truth.

Still it really matters which kind of living dead a person is.  Both kinds of the living dead are appointed for their body to die when their spirits leave it and will then face eternal judgment for their actions (Hebrews 9:27).  Those who are dead to sin but alive to the Father of Truth will not experience the second death so they are ones who are really alive (Revelation 2:8-11).  Those who are alive to sin but dead to the Father of Truth will experience the second death so they are ones who are really dead (Revelation 21:8).

It really comes down to whether or they have been delivered from The Monster Within.  No amount of church or synagogue involvement will change this fact if the answer is "yes" to this question:  Are You Wearing A Costome?

If you are dead to the Father of Truth then I have some Good News for you!  If you will come into the House of Truth then you will no longer be dead to Him (Luke 15:32).  When you come into the House of Truth then you pass from being dead to Him to being alive to Him (John 5:24).  When you surrender control of your life to the Man of Truth because you believe that His Father raised him from the dead that is when you come into the House of Truth (Romans 10:9).  When you come into the House of Truth then you are raised from the dead like the Man of Truth (Ephesians 2:4-5).  Your love for other people will be the proof that you have come into the House of Truth and have passed from death to life (1 John 3:14).

Serial Killers

Who are the most prolific serial killers in America?

The world has been fascinated with serial killers.  Many of them, like David Berkowitz, have been caught by the authorities and then brought to justice.   Some of them like Jack the Ripper were never caught.

This has lead to many movies about serial killers like the Silence of the Lambs.  Stories about serial killers are popular on television as well.  The popular show "Criminal Minds" is about a team of FBI agents who specialize in capturing serial killers.

Yet there are serial killers in the United States who are far more prolific than any imagined by the writers of fiction or ever hunted by the authorities.

These serial killers systematically murder the most helpless and innocent among those in society.  These serial killers are absolutely brutal in their murders either killing their victims slowly by burning them with acid or slicing them into pieces with surgical instruments until they die.  These serial killers have killed millions of victims in the absolutely most grotesque ways imaginable.

These serial killers are different than all other types of serial killers.  These serial killers have their victims brought to them by their own family.  They do not worry about how to dispose of the bodies of their victims for other people are willing to pay them for those bodies.

These serial killers have never been arrested even though they advertise their crimes.  These serial killers are even paid by the family of the victims and the authorities for carrying out their brutal acts of murder.  These serial killers have no fear of being brought to justice.

Who are these serial killers?

These serial killers are called "abortion doctors".

The Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) creates every human being in His own image (Genesis 1:27).   When a woman conceives then a person comes into existence (Genesis 4:1).  It is at the point of conception when a man has begotten another person in his own image (Genesis 5:3).

Every human being is made by the Father of Truth in the womb of their mother (Job 31:13-15).  Each one is a work of His hands (Psalm 139:13-14).   They are known by Him before they even begin to look like a person in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5).

For this reason when a woman suffers an abortion from being accidentally hurt when men are fighting then the man that accidentally caused the abortion is to be punished (Exodus 21:22).  If the baby should be born with any kind of defect or die shortly thereafter then that man who accidentally caused this damage is to suffer the same fate (Exodus 21:23-25).  How much more should the punishment be for those who abort a child on purpose?

The abortion doctors and those who work in their death camps are plainly serial killers.  These serial killers are nothing new.

They are doing the same kind of things that the priests of Molech did.   They are brutally killing unwanted children - especially those who were conceived out of wedlock.  It is all part of system of having gatherings where people get drunk or take hallucinogenic drugs, have sex with people that they are not married to, which leads to unplanned pregnancies and finally murdering off their unwanted children.  This was the religion of Molech.

The Father of Truth says that those who pay them for the murder of their own children are as wicked as those who commit adultery or homosexuality (Leviticus 18:20-22).  He says that their customers are to be executed brutally for the brutal murder of their own children (Leviticus 20:2).    Their customers are trying to cover their sin of fornication by sacrificing the children that their sin produced (Micah 6:7)!

This kind of wickedness is why the Father of Truth sent in the children of Israel to wipe out the original inhabitants of the Promised Land (Deuteronomy 9:3-5).  He says that this shedding of innocent blood is a sacrifice to the Spirits of Lies (devils aka demons aka unclean spirits aka gods) that pollutes the very land where it is allowed to continue (Psalm 106:37-38).  When the children of Israel did this same wickedness then the Father of Truth removed them from the Promised Land and gave them over to their enemies (Psalm 106:39-41).  America is no better.  This continuing to allow these serial killers to continue to brutally murder the innocent can only lead to The Death Of America.

The Father of Truth says that the customers of these serial killers will face His wrath even if the people of their land allow them to get away with this murder of their own children (Leviticus 20:3-5).  Make no mistake - these serial killers and their customers will not go unpunished (Numbers 32:23).  They will not be able hide themselves among the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) to cover up their crimes (1 Corinthians 10:20-21).   They will suffer horribly by being burned to death in liquid fire, like those children they burned to death with acid, except it will be over and over again (Revelation 21:8).  They will pay for their crimes forever in the Chamber of Horrors!  These serial killers and their customers will be brought to justice!

You might be one of these serial killers or perhaps have even been one of their customers.  If so, then I have some Good News for you.  There is still hope for you!

King Manasseh did worse than the wicked people who originally occupied the Promised Land (2 Kings 21:9).  He hired many of these serial killers throughout his kingdom (2 Kings 21:16).  Yet when he admitted his wickedness and turned from it then the Father of Truth removed his punishment (2 Chronicles 33:10-13).  The Father of Truth is willing to forgive even the biggest customer of these serial killers.

Then there was another serial killer of the innocent that was just as prolific as any other serial killer.  This serial killer started out by watching other serial killers perform their gruesome work (Acts 7:57-58).  This serial killer was then inspired to go on his own killing spree (Acts 8:1-3).  This serial killer was also commissioned by the authorities to carry out his brutal acts of murder (Acts 9:1-2).  This serial killer sought to kill those who fit his vicitimology everywhere he could find them (Acts 22:4-5).  This serial killer even went into other countries to kill the innocent (Acts 26:9-11).

Then this serial killer met the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) while he was on his way to start another killing spree (Acts 9:3-5).  Paul the Jew (Shual aka Saul aka The Apostle Paul) went from being a serial killer to a Child of Truth (Acts 22:14-16).  The Man of Truth turned this serial killer into a serial healer (Acts 26:15-18).

Paul the Jew had only been a serial killer because of religious zeal (Acts 22:3).   His killing sprees had been set off by misguided zeal that came from following a religion other than the one that was built upon the Man of Truth (Galatians 1:13-14).  The Father of Truth showed mercy to Paul the Jew because He knew that his killing sprees were the result of misguided zeal for Him (1 Timothy 1:13-14).

Paul the Jew considered himself to be the least of all Apostles of Truth, even though he wrote about half of the books of the Renewed Covenant (B'rit Chadashah aka The New Testament), because of his former life as a serial killer (1 Corinthians 15:9-10).  Paul the Jew said the Father of Truth could forgive anyone if He forgave the worst of sinners - a serial killer like him (1 Timothy 1:15-16).

David Berkowitz has in like manner been forgiven for his killing spree.  He is no longer a serial killer but a Child of Truth.  He has been made into a new person (2 Corinthians 5:17).  Like Paul the Jew, his sins have been washed away (Acts 22:16).

You see it does not matter if you have been a serial killer or a customer of a serial killer or have broken the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) in some other way.  Everyone had sinned at some time in some way (Romans 5:12).  The blood of the Man of Truth is sufficient to cleanse you from all sin (1 John 1:7).  It will even clean the blood of the unborn from the hands of these serial killers and their customers so that they can come into the House of Truth!

You still have to do your part to come into the House of Truth to live with the Father of Truth (John 14:6).  Like Paul the Jew, you have to surrender control of your life to the Man of Truth because you believe His Father raised him from the dead in order to come into the House of Truth (Romans 10:9).  No one can come into the House of Truth until they turn from doing what is wicked (2 Peter 3:9).  Like King Manasseh, you have to stop trying to justify your actions and agree with the Father of Truth that you have done what is wicked in order to come into the House of Truth (1 John 1:9).

What is the greatest camping party of all time?

When I was a Boy Scout I always wanted to go to the national Jamboree.  There was something very appealing about camping with 25,000 or more campers for a week or more to someone who loves to go camping .

During Jamboree there were all kinds of scouting competitions like knot tying.  I hoped to win the national knot tying competition.  I could tie most of the knots faster than anyone I met.  I used to tie the knots behind my back just to give other people a sporting chance at beating me.  Even then I was rarely beat.

I thought the national Jamboree was the largest and greatest gathering of campers in the history of the world.  I really wanted to be part of it but my troop did not go to it the one time that it occurred while I was a scout.  It looked like I would never go to a Jamboree.

Then after I came into the House of Truth I learned of another gathering of campers that makes the national Boy Scout Jamboree look tiny.  It is a Jamboree like no other.

This is the grandest of all Jamborees because the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) is the host of this eight day event of sleeping in tents for a week.  He has selected a week that starts in the middle of the seventh month on His calendar (the middle of October give or take a couple of weeks) which is generally optimum camping weather (Leviticus 23:34).  The first and last days of this eight day gathering are special Sabbaths when everyone congregates together (Leviticus 23:35-39).  Of course, everyone has to set up camp on the first day so they have somewhere to sleep for the next seven nights (Leviticus 23:40).  Then it is a week of fun and celebration with the Father of Truth (Leviticus 23:41).

This Jamboree is called the Feasts of Tabernacles (Sukkot) because of the tents that look like booths (Sukkot) that everyone sleeps in for seven nights.  This Feast of Truth is the final act of The Greatest Play Ever  that tells about The Aftermath of The Great War.  Just like all of the Feasts of Truth (Moedim aka Feasts of the Father of Truth) this one has additional sacrifices commanded for each and every day that it lasts (Numbers 29:12-39).

Why does the Father of Truth host this Jamboree every year?

Before the Father of Truth set up this Jamboree there was a camping trip with His people in the wilderness (Exodus 13:20).  That camping trip had more than 600,000 men that served in the army (twenty to sixty years of age) participate plus their wives, their children, the Levites (who were forbidden to be in the army) and the elderly (Numbers 11:21).  The Father of Truth took care of their every need while they camped with Him for forty years (Deuteronomy 2:7).  Now that was a camping trip!

So all of their descendants were to go camping together to remember how their ancestors went on a grand adventure with their Father after He delivered them from the slavery of Egypt (Leviticus 23:42-43).  No one in their household nor the widow nor the orphan nor even the foreigner was to be left out of this week of camping and celebrating (Deuteronomy 16:13-14).  Everyone was to bring something to this party to celebrate the goodness that the Father of Truth had shown them (Deuteronomy 16:15-17).

Just think about it!  This Jamboree was a time when every family in Israel could get away from it all and have a grand reunion.  Friends who grew up together and then went their separate ways could meet up again to create some new memories every year.  People could meet other people with shared business interests to strike up new partnerships.  Nobody would be left out and everyone would be able to strengthen their connections with other people.

This Jamboree was like a the greatest craft fair of all time when people could display and sell their goods on the four or five days that were not one of the Sabbaths.  All during the week there would be people celebrating and playing music.  There would be all kinds of games played during this time of rejoicing and all kinds of Fall decorations everywhere.  This Jamboree was like Thanksgiving and everything else that makes Autumn so fun all rolled together into one week.  The opportunities for His children to be blessed by spending a week with Him and each other seemed to be almost limitless.

This Jamboree was to occur in Jerusalem every year once the Father of Truth revealed that this was the place where He had chosen to put His name on (Deuteronomy 16:15).  Every seventh year at this Feast of Truth everyone was to hear the reading of the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) so that everyone in the Promised Land would know what He considered to be right and wrong (Deuteronomy 31:10-13).  When Solomon set up the Temple in Jerusalem he resumed the sacrifices so everyone could celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles every year (2 Chronicles 8:12-13).  Years later, Ezra did the same thing by having the altar rebuilt before the foundation of the second Temple was even laid (Ezra 3:2-6).

Sadly, most of the descendants of those who camped with the Father of Truth in the wilderness did not show up for His Jamboree all of the years from the time of Joshua (Yah'shua), when they first entered the Promised Land, until the time of Nehemiah, when they returned to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem around the second Temple after being exiled from the Promised Land (Nehemiah 8:17).  The Father of Truth hosted the greatest party of the year every year and hardly nobody showed up until Nehemiah got everyone to go back to camping in Jerusalem (Nehemiah 8:14-18).

The Feast of Tabernacles was still being celebrated by the Jews when the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) was on the Earth (John 7:2).  He also went camping in Jerusalem at the appointed time (John 7:8-10).  He taught everyone the doctrine of his Father during this Jamboree so they would know what He considered to be right and wrong (John 7:14-18).  There was no way that the Man of Truth was going to miss any Jamboree that the Father of Truth was hosting.

Even after the Man of Truth left this Earth, His Father continued to host this Jamboree in Jerusalem.  The Ethiopian Eunuch came two thousand miles to camp with the Father of Truth in Jerusalem (Acts 8:26-28).  [There are torrential rains around Meroe (the capital of ancient Ethiopia) and across ancient Ethiopia (modern Sudan, South Sudan and northern Ethiopia) from April through July every year making it almost impossible for the Ethiopian Eunuch to have attended any Feasts of Truth except those that occurred in the Fall.]  Since the Ethiopian Eunuch had so honored the Father of Truth in this manner the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost
) sent Philip the Jew (Philip the Evangelist) to tell him the Good News about the Man of Truth (Acts 8:29-35).  He came into the House of Truth because he had attended the great Jamboree in Jerusalem (Acts 8:36-38).  Now that was something to celebrate!

The greatest Jamborees are still in front us.  The day is coming when the Man of Truth will rule this Earth and make the Law of Truth the law of the whole world (Isaiah 2:2-4).  It will be an era of peace across the globe so that everyone can travel safely to Jerusalem (Micah 4:1-8).

All of those whose ancestors camped with the Father of Truth in the wilderness will once again live in booths for this Feast of Truth (Hosea 12:9).   Not only that, but every nation will have to send its men to camp in Jerusalem during the Feast of Tabernacles (Zechariah 14:16).  Any nation that does not show up to this Jamboree will get no rain until they come to next Jamboree (Zechariah 14:17-19).  Everyone will show up for this party that the Father of Truth is hosting!

So the Jamboree was attended yearly when the Man of Truth walked the Earth and will be attended yearly again when he rules the Earth.  But what about today?

Since the Temple is no longer standing in Jerusalem then we cannot keep the Feasts of Tabernacles exactly as spelled out in the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) at this time.  We cannot make the sacrifices without the Temple and the priests.  At this time the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) cannot possibly all gather together every year in Jerusalem for a week.  We must remember that we are Playing With Broken Toys.

However, even when the Temple was standing the Jewish Children of Truth who lived outside of the Promised Land had the exact same problem.  Yet Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul aka The Apostle Paul) did not teach the Jewish Children of Truth that lived outside of the Promised Land to stop celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles all together (Acts 21:19-21).  In fact, he was also celebrating this Jamboree every year when he was outside of the Promised Land (Acts 21:22-24).

So we can do the same things they did.  We can still camp together with the other Children of Truth in our local area for eight days.  We can even do this in our cities.  We can still build booths and decorate them with tree branches. (Some people even build their booths on the fire escapes to their tenements and then sleep there.)  We can still have eight days of rejoicing before the Lord that we spend with family and friends.  We can even barbeque some of the same kind of animals that were sacrificed at the Temple for this Feast of Truth to remind us of the sacrifices that will be made in the Temple when the Man of Truth rules this Earth for a thousand years.  We can still eat all kinds of fun festive Fall foods like funnel cakes while avoiding eating things that the Father of Truth calls filth.  (Since we are under the Renewed Covenant (B'rit Chadashah aka The New Testament) you may be wondering Does It Matter What I Eat?)  We can still treat the first and last day of the Feast of Tabernacles as special Sabbaths that we put aside for doing the same king of things that keep us from being Bored On The Sabbath.   So we can still meet with the Father of Truth and His Children at miniature local versions of His Jamboree!

Do we have to keep the Feast of Tabernacles today?

The Gentile Children of Truth are not required to keep any of the Feasts of Truth in order to come into the House of Truth (Acts 15:23-24).   The Jewish Apostles of Truth gave no such commandment for them to observe the Feast of Tabernacles (Acts 21:25).  What matters is keeping The Weightier Matters of The Law.  Attending this Jamboree is definitely one of The Lessor Matters of The Law.

Still they are invited to do so just like the Ethiopian Eunuch did.  Like him, they will also find themselves blessed for honoring their Father like this.

So even though we do not have to attend the Feast of Tabernacles at this current time we can still get great benefits from doing so.  We can still have the great privilege of spending a week camping with the Father of Truth and His Children.  We can still remember the great adventure that we are on with the Father of Truth now that we have been delivered from the bondage of sin.  We can gain all the benefits of getting closer to Him and to each other.  We can experience a little bit of what it will be like when the Man of Truth is ruling this Earth.  Why would we not want to go to His Jamboree?

The important thing is for the Children of Truth to not condemn each other based on whether or not they attend His Jamboree because it is really only a means for coming to know the Man of Truth (Colossians 2:16-17).

It does not really matter if you attend His Jamboree unless you first come into the House of Truth (Acts 13:38-41).  You can can only come into the House of Truth by surrendering to the one who will cause everyone to attend those future Jamborees because you believe that His Father raised him from the dead (Romans 10:8-12).   Attending His Jamboree is worthless if you never come into the House of Truth (Galatians 2:15-16).

Breakfast of Champions

What can you eat to be closer to the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) and operate more easily in supernatural power?

When I was a kid one of the greatest honors that an athlete could achieve was to have their image placed on the front panel of an orange Wheaties box.  Usually it was not just their face on the front panel but some sort of picture of them in an action pose that was appropriate for their sport.  One that is particularly memorable was Bruce Jenner throwing a javelin.

Towards the top of the front panel was the word "WHEATIES" in huge white letters.  Just below the right half of the word "WHEATIES" was the phrase "WHOLE WHEAT FLAKES" in smaller black letters.  Right below that in smaller italicized black letters was the phrase "Breakfast of Champions" in double quotes.

General Mills would have liked for the public to have believed, that becoming a champion athlete like Bruce Jenner, Mohammed Ali, or Mary Lou Retton, all started with eating Wheaties for breakfast everyday.  While diet is an important part to becoming a champion athlete, the truth is that people can become one without eating Wheaties for breakfast every day. 

Of course it is also true that these champions had to have been given the raw talent for their particular sport by the Father of Truth in the first place, or it did not matter what they ate for breakfast.  They then had to be disciplined in every area of life to develop those gifts that they were given, or it did not matter what they ate for breakfast.  No one could be come a champion athlete without these two things, by simply eating Wheaties for breakfast every day.

However, when it comes to being a champion for the Father of Truth, then there really is a breakfast of champions.  This breakfast really does help the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) grow into champions in His Kingdom.

I learned about this breakfast of champions from the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost) not long after I was baptized in the Spirit of Truth.  I really wanted to be more like the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ).  I really wanted to know the Father of Truth better.  I really wanted to be able to hear the Spirit of Truth more clearly.  I really wanted to win the fight against my own flesh so I could do the will of the Father of Truth instead of my own will.  So I asked how I could do all of these things.  The Spirit of Truth told me if I really wanted to become one His champions then I should start fasting.  Fasting is the breakfast of champions.

I was not even sure what fasting really was except not eating food.  The Spirit of Truth brought several scriptures to my mind to show me.  Fasting is seeking after the Father of Truth by doing things like praying, reading the Book of Truth and singing praises to Him instead of eating (Nehemiah 9:1-6).  Fasting is serving the Father of Truth by spending time in prayer instead of eating (Luke 2:37).  Fasting is not the same as just going around hungry (2 Corinthians 11:27). 

I remember the first time I decided to fast for a day.  I was pretty much a food addict and about two hours into that first fast I thought I was going to die.  Several times I found a cookie in my hands that I had grabbed without thinking.   Each time I refrained from eating it and put it back where it belonged.  With the help of the Spirit of Truth I never gave into hunger until the twenty-four hours were over but when it was I grabbed the first food I could find and shoved it in my mouth.  You would have thought that I had not eaten in days from the way I acted.

Of course, it was absurd because I was in no actual danger of dying.  A person in average health can go about sixty days without food before they will die.  It is only the mind and emotions of a person that has such a struggle with not eating for a single day.  That is why the Book of Truth (The Bible) refers to fasting as "afflicting your soul" (Isaiah 58:3).

Where did this breakfast of champions come from?

This breakfast of champions is first explained in the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law).   This breakfast of champions is to be eaten every year on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur aka The Fast aka Judgment Day) so that the soul is afflicted by fasting while the High Priest makes atonement for the Children of Truth (Leviticus 16:29-34).  The Day of Atonement is not just a day for abstaining from food but for congregating together like the weekly Sabbath (Leviticus 23:27-32).  The Day of Atonement is a day of additional sacrifices for the atonement of sins while everyone is fasting (Numbers 29:7-11).

Today it is not even possible to keep the Day of Atonement in this manner because without the Temple standing in Jerusalem at best we are Playing With Broken Toys.  The fact is that we do not need to fast on the Day of Atonement for our sins to be atoned for because the Man of Truth has presented his own blood in the Temple in Heaven to atone for our sins (Hebrews 9:11-14).  The truth is that the blood of bulls and goats that were offered on the Day of Atonement were never sufficient to atone for sin but were just a foreshadowing of the only blood that was (Hebrews 10:1-4).

So does this mean that fasting on the Day of Atonement has been done away with?

Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul aka The Apostle Paul) never taught the Jewish Children of Truth to abandon any of the Feasts of Truth when he preached to the Gentiles for many years (Acts 21:19-21).  He was still living his life in line with the Law of Truth while preaching to the Gentiles for many years outside of the Promised Land (Acts 21:22-24).  In fact, he was still observing the Day of Atonement (The Fast) when he was in chains on the island of Crete on his way to appeal to Caesar in Rome (Acts 27:7-10).

So the Children of Truth can certainly observe the Day of Atonement to some measure.  They can still treat the Day of Atonement as a Sabbath and do the same kind of things so that they do not end up Bored On The Sabbath.   They can still fast on the Day of Atonement.

The Apostles of Truth also said that they never taught that the Gentile Children of Truth needed to keep the Law of Truth in order to come into the House of Truth (Acts 15:23-27).  They taught that the Gentile Children of Truth were under no obligation to keep these feasts (Acts 21:25-26).

It should be obvious that fasting on the Day of Atonement is not one of The Weightier Matters of The Law.  In fact, it should be understood to be one of The Lessor Matters of The Law.  The entire point of the Law of Truth is to bring us to the Man of Truth so we can become the Children of Truth (Galatians 3:24-26). 

So the Children of Truth should not judge each other as doing something wrong if some of them observe the Day of Atonement by fasting while others do not do so because what really matters is knowing the Man of Truth (Colossians 2:16-17).

So should the Children of Truth fast today?

The Man of Truth gave instructions on how the Children of Truth were to fast (Matthew 6:16-18).  He said that they should start fasting after he left this Earth (Matthew 9:15).

There is no better example of this than Paul the Jew who was the greatest champion for the Father of Truth who ever lived during the entire time from when the Man of Truth left this Earth until he returns.

The Pharisees fasted often (Matthew 9:14).  The Pharisees had regularly fasted twice every week  (Luke 18:11-12).  (They did this on Monday and Thursday because those days were both two days away from the Sabbath (Saturday).)  Paul the Jew had been trained as a young man by the greatest Rabbi of the Pharisees of his day - Gamaliel (Acts 22:3).

Paul the Jew continued to identify himself as a Pharisee more than twenty years after he encountered the Man of Truth on the road to Damascus (Acts 23:6).  He continued this discipline of fasting often during his many trials that he encountered while preaching the Good News  (2 Corinthians 11:25-27).

Paul the Jew continued to eat the breakfast of champions far more often than just on the Day of Atonement (The Fast) every year.  In fact, he would have fasted more than 100 days each year by continuing in fasting regularly as the Pharisees did.  He almost certainly fasted more than any of the other Apostles of Truth.

This is part of the reason that in 57 AD Paul the Jew was able to start a church on the island of Rhodes in under eight hours that is still operating today (Acts 21:1).  This is part of the reason that he operated in all of the gifts of the Spirit of Truth so that he could distinguish them from each other (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).  This is part of the reason that he had an abundance of revelations (2 Corinthians 12:1-7).  This part of the reason that he could write scripture that was hard for Peter the Jew (Cephas aka Simon aka Simeon) and the other Apostles of Truth to understand (2 Peter 3:15-16).  This is part of the reason that he wrote more books of the Book of Truth than anyone else.

Who else ate the breakfast of champions?

Peter the Jew chose to spend time praying on the roof while lunch was being prepared and continued to do so until he became very hungry (Acts 10:9-10).  It was while fasting that he heard the Father of Truth in a vision (Acts 10:10-16).  While he was still fasting on the roof he heard the Spirit of Truth clearly tell him to go with men that Cornelius the Gentile had sent (Acts 10:17-20).  He then was told by the Father of Truth while he was fasting that this vision was about the Gentiles being made clean from sin without first becoming Jews through circumcision contrary to every tradition that he had been raised in (Acts 10:28-29).  Cornelius the Gentile had also been fasting when he was told by an Angel of Truth to send for Peter the Jew before Peter the Jew had been given his vision (Acts 10:30-33).  Then while Peter the Jew then was preaching the Good News to Cornelius and the other Gentiles they were baptized in the Spirit of Truth to prove that the visions that Peter the Jew and Cornelius the Gentile had while fasting really were from the Father of Truth (Acts 10:44-47).  So the Good News was first brought to the Gentiles because Peter the Jew and Cornelius the Gentile had both eaten the breakfast of champions.  The vision of Peter the Jew that he had while fasting had nothing to do with food as further explained in I Did Not Mean That.

In similar manner many of champions in the Book of Truth had incredible encounters with the Father of Truth and did incredible things by the power of the Spirit of Truth after they had eaten the breakfast of champions.

Moses received the Law of Truth the first time during a forty day fast (Exodus 24:12-18).  Then he had to go up Mount Sinai to receive the Law of Truth again after it had been broken (Exodus 34:1-2).  Moses received the Law of Truth the second time during another forty day fast (Exodus 34:27-29).  The Law of Truth began to operate when Moses ate the breakfast of champions!

Elijah (Eliyahu) in like manner went up to Mount Sinai (Mount Horeb) as the result of a forty day fast (1 Kings 19:5-8).  It was while living in a cave in Mount Sinai that Elijah heard the voice of the Spirit of Truth so he could find the strength and vision to finish his mission of overcoming the evil rulers of the kingdom of Israel (1 Kings 19:9-19).  The kingdom of Israel was delivered from evil rulers when Elijah ate the breakfast of champions!

King Jehoshaphat lead the kingdom of Judah in fasting when an overwhelming force came against his kingdom (2 Chronicles 20:2-4).  They were delivered without even having to fight (2 Chronicles 20:15-17).  The kingdom of Judah was saved because they ate the breakfast of champions!

Daniel fasted when he wanted to know what would happen to the Jews after the seventy years of captivity was over (Daniel 9:2-4).  The Angel of Truth Gabriel was sent to show him that the kingdom of Judah would be restored, Jerusalem would be rebuilt, the second Temple would be built, the Man of Truth would die to atone for the sins of others, the second Temple would be destroyed by the people of the Man of Lies (The Antichrist aka The Beast), the Man of Lies would rise up in power to confirm a peace treaty to protect the nation of Israel, and then the Man of Lies would break that treaty by turning against the nation of Israel when he desecrates the third temple (Daniel 9:2-4).  Daniel then fasted again for three weeks to know the rest of the story (Daniel 10:1-3).  He was visited by another Angel of Truth who told him the rest of the story (Daniel 10:12-14).  He was told that the Man of Lies would come to a sudden end that no one could help him escape (Daniel 11:41-45).  He was told that the time of trouble for the Jewish people would finally be over (Daniel 12:1).  Daniel saw the entire future of the Jewish people and the nation of Israel because he ate the breakfast of champions.

Ezra lead the returning captives in fasting to secure safe passage to Jerusalem so they could build the second Temple (Ezra 8:21-23).  Nehemiah fasted to obtain favor from the king so he could lead the returning captives in rebuilding the city of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 1:1-4).  Nehemiah lead the Jews in fasting to rededicate themselves to keeping the Law of Truth (Nehemiah 9:1-3).  Mordecai and Esther lead the Jews in Shushan in fasting to obtain favor from the king and save the Jews throughout the Persian empire from being exterminated (Esther 4).  Another holiday was added to the Biblical calendar to commemorate the deliverance that came from fasting (Esther 9:30-32).  The nation of Israel was restored and the stage was set for the Man of Truth because these Children of Truth ate the breakfast of champions!

The Man of Truth was also lead by the Spirit of Truth to go on a forty day fast to overcome the Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) (Matthew 4:1-11).  He began to preach repentance after this fast (Matthew 4:12-17).  He began to preach the Good News after this fast (Mark 1:12-15).   He began to operate in the power of the Spirit of Truth after this fast (Luke 4:13-19).  The Renewed Covenant (B'rit Chadashah aka New Testament) began to operate when the Man of Truth ate the breakfast of champions!

Paul the Jew and Barnabas the Jew were sent out in the first mission to bring the Good News to the Gentiles in foreign countries after the prophets and teachers at Antioch had fasted (Acts 13:1-3).   The Renewed Covenant began to be spread across the world when these prophets and teachers ate the breakfast of champions!

Of course, just like those athletes on the Wheaties box, eating the breakfast of champions is not enough by itself to make us into champions.  We can only develop the gifts that the Father of Truth gives us (1 Corinthians 7:7).  We must be disciplined in every area of life to develop those gifts and become champions (1 Corinthians 9:25-26).  Eating the breakfast of champions only helps us do these things and is no substitute for these things.

The truth is that fasting does not change the Father of Truth (Malachi 3:6).  It certainly does not change the Father of Lies.  The breakfast of champions changes us.

It helps us get rid of unbelief so that we can operate in the authority that The Man of Truth gave us over the Spirits of Lies (devils aka demons aka unclean spirits aka gods) to deliver other people (Matthew 17:20-21).  It changes us so that we can have victory over every Spirit of Lies (Mark 9:28-29).  It changes us so that we can so we can more clearly hear the Spirit of Truth (Acts 13:2).

It changes us by helping us to put our bodies under the control of our spirits (1 Corinthians 9:27).   This makes it easier to be lead by the Spirit of Truth so that we become more like the Man of Truth (2 Corinthians 3:18).  When we become more like the Man of Truth then we become closer to His Father (Colossians 1:13-15).  This is why I call fasting the breakfast of champions.

So you can start getting all of these benefits by fasting on the Day of Atonement and any other day that the Spirit of Truth leads you to eat the breakfast of champions.  You will even get these benefits if you fast twice a week out of habit provided that your zeal to do so is based on the knowledge of the truth (Romans 10:1-3).

The truth is there is no benefit to eating the breakfast of champions unless you first decide to come into the House of Truth (Isaiah 58:3-7).  The Day of Atonement is really about knowing the Man of Truth who paid for your atonement with his own blood so you could come into the House of Truth (Hebrews 10:12-14).  You can come into the House of Truth to eat the breakfast of champions by putting every area of your life under the discipline of the Man of Truth because you believe that His Father raised him from the dead (Romans 10:4-9).
