James the Son of Mary

What did James the son of Mary teach and do?

The first Apocalypse of James, supposedly written by James the son of Mary a hundred years after he died, says that James the son of Mary was not brother of the Man of Truth.  The second Apocalypse of James, written later, says that James the son of Mary was not even the son of Joseph the Jew.

The Gospel of James, was also written more than one hundred years after James the son of Mary died, says that James was the son of Joseph the Jew through his first wife, who died before he married Mary the Jew.  Epiphanius says the same thing but adds that the scriptures lied about the relationship between James the son of Mary and the Man of Truth to confuse their enemies.Epiphanius says that James the son of Mary was a Nazirite from birth.

Hegesippus says that James the son of Mary was holy from birth.  He drank no alcohol or ate no flesh.  He did not shave, anoint himself with oil, or take baths.  He was so holy that that he was allowed to into the Holy Place of the Temple to pray.  He spent so much time praying there that the skin of his knees became leathery like those of a camel.

The Gospel of the Hebrews reports that James the son of Mary had sworn that he would eat no bread after he drank the wine at the Last Supper until he saw the Man of Truth risen from the dead. So when the Man of Truth appeared to James the son of Mary, he told him to get a table and some bread.  He then called James the son of Mary his brother and ate bread with him.

Clement of Alexandria says that after his resurrection, the Man of Truth imparted hidden knowledge to James the son of Mary, Peter the Jew, and John the Jew.  They then departed that knowledge to the rest of the Twelve, who then departed it to the Seventy, which included Barnabas.

According to the Gospel of Thomas, the Man of Truth told all of the other disciples that James the son of Mary would be the ultimate authority to settle all disputes for all believers on Earth after the Man of Truth returned to Heaven.  It even said that Heaven and Earth had come into existence for the sake of James the son of Mary.

A fourth century letter supposedly written by Clement of Rome, who died two hundred years earlier, called James the son of Mary the bishop over all other bishops, who rules over the church of the Hebrews in Jerusalem, as well as every single church on Earth.

According to Eusebius and Clement of Alexandria, James the son of Mary was the first to be elected to the episcopal thrown of the church at Jerusalem.  He was known as James the Just and also as James the Righteous.

Eusebius states that James the son of Mary was appointed as Bishop over Jerusalem by Peter the Jew, John the Jew, and James the brother of John soon after the Church was born at Pentecost.  Clement of Alexandria say they chose him to prevent fighting among themselves over the position.

Hegesippus also says that that James the son of Mary was the Bishop of Jerusalem from Pentecost but does not say how he became so appointed.  Papias also calls him the Bishop of Jerusalem.

Jerome says that he ruled as the Bishop of Jerusalem for thirty years. The Gospel of the Hebrews adds that this was until the seventh year of the reign of Nero.

However, Clement of Alexandria reports that James the son of Mary was thrown off the pinnacle of the Temple and when it was found that he was still alive they began stoning him as he prayed for them.  James the son of Mary finally died when a fuller beat him in the head with his rod.  Hegesippus also says that it was the Pharisees, not the Sadducees, who killed James the son of Mary.

These writings were also added to support the idea that James the son of Mary was born to an earlier wife of Joseph the Jew long before Mary the Jew gave birth to the Man of Truth.

Epiphanius wrote that James the son of Mary died at age ninety-six as a virgin.

So, according to the Renewed Covenant, what did James the son of Mary teach and do?

2 BC (Jerusalem):

Six weeks after his birth, Mary the Jew presented the Man of Truth to the Father of Truth in the Temple and redeemed him as required by the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) (Luke 2:22-24).

After this, Joseph the Jew and Mary the Jew were finally able to have sex with each other (Matthew 1:25).

1 AD (Bethlehem):

However, when the Angel of Truth warned Joseph the Jew to flee with Mary the Jew and the Man of Truth to Egypt, they did not have any other children yet (Matthew 2:13-14).

1 AD (Nazareth):

When Joseph the Jew returned to Nazareth with Mary the Jew and the Man of Truth they had not yet had any more children (Matthew 2:22-23).

11 AD (Judea):

When Joseph the Jew and Mary the Jew looked for the Man of Truth among their family and friends in the company that they traveled with, so James son of Mary could have also been among them as well (Luke 2:44-45).

29 AD (Cana):

The Man of Truth turned the water into wine (John 2:6-10).  After he performed this miracle, James the son of Mary left with him to go to Capernaum (John 2:11-12).

29 AD (Near the Sea of Galilee):

James the son of Mary and the rest of the family of the Man of Truth, sought to lay hold of him because they thought that he was out of his mind (Mark 3:21).

[The Greek phrase translated "his friends" is not the word for friends, but literally "those near him" - which would mean his family.  This is confirmed by what happens afterwards.]

Mary the Jew and her children - including James the son of Mary - sought to enter the house to speak with him (Matthew 12:46-50).  When his followers told him this, he asked them who was his mother, brothers, and sisters (Mark 3:31-35)?  Then he answered that his mother, brothers, and sisters were those who did the will of his Father - his followers (Luke 8:19-21).

[In these passages the Greek word translated as "brethren" is "adelphos" - which literally means "from the same womb".  It was the womb of Mary the Jew that the brothers of the Man of Truth came from.]

29 AD (Nazareth):

When the Man of Truth taught in his home synagogue, the people could not understand where his wisdom and power to work miracles came from (Matthew 13:54-56).  James the son of Mary, his mother, and her other children, still lived among them - unlike his followers who came with him for a visit (Mark 6:1-3).

[In these passages the Greek word translated as "brethren" is "adelphos" - which literally means "from the same womb".  The Greek word translated as "sisters" is "adelphe" - which also literally means "from the same womb".  It was the womb of Mary the Jew that the brothers and sisters of the Man of Truth came from.]

30 AD (Nazareth):

When it came time for the Feast of Tabernacles, James the son of Mary and his brothers still did not believe that Man of Truth, their brother, was the Messiah of Israel (John 7:2-5).  So, they left for Jerusalem without him, but he went later (John 7:6-10).

31 AD (Golgotha - outside Jerusalem):

When the Man of Truth was dying on the cross at Passover, he told Mary the Jew that John the Jew would take care of her in his place (John 19:25-26).  Then he told John the Jew to take care of her in his place and John the Jew took her into his home (John 19:27).

(James the son of Mary was not with his mother at the foot of the cross.)

31 AD (Near Jerusalem):

Then the Man of Truth appeared to Peter the Jew, before showing himself to the rest of the remaining eleven of The Twelve (1 Corinthians 15:4).

(James the son of Mary was not one of The Twelve who had been at the last supper.)

31 AD (Galilee):

After this, more than five hundred people saw the Man of Truth at one time (1 Corinthians 15:5).

Finally the Man of Truth was seen by James the son of Mary, as well as other people who soon became Apostles of Truth (1 Corinthians 15:6).

So, James the son of Mary was at least three years younger than the Man of Truth. He had seen the miracle at the wedding at Cana, but he did not believe that the Man of Truth had performed it.

James the son of Mary thought the Man of Truth had lost his mind and had sought to stop him from carrying out his mission.  He did not believe in the Man of Truth despite the many miracles that he had performed around his hometown.  He did not believe in the Man of Truth even after the many miracles that had been performed by the last Feast of Tabernacles before the crucifixion.

James the son of Mary was not with the Man of Truth when he ate his final Passover meal.   He was not there for the Man of Truth when he was dying on the cross.  He did not believe in the Man of Truth until the Man of Truth appeared to him and proved to James the son of Mary that he had risen from the dead.

31 AD (Jerusalem):

The followers of the Man of Truth met with remaining eleven of the Twelve in the upper room to continue in prayer together, including James the son of Mary and his brothers (Acts 1:12-14).

During this time, James the son of Mary and his brothers were part of the 120 followers of the Man of Truth present when it was announced that the vacancy in the Twelve that Judas the Traitor had left empty needed to be filled (Acts 1:15-20).  James the son of Mary was not considered because he had not followed the Man of Truth from the time of his baptism by John the Baptist (Acts 1:21-26).

James the son of Mary and his brothers were among the Galileans that devout Jews from across the world heard speaking in their own language when the baptism of the Spirit of Truth was poured out (Acts 2:1-11).   He was one of those who remained in the Temple and to meet house to house to learn from the Apostles of Truth while sharing everything in common (Acts 2:42-47).

James the son of Mary was part the company that Peter the Jew and John the Jew return to be with (Acts 4:23-30).  He was one of those filled with the Spirit of Truth who spoke with great boldness when their meeting place was shaken (Acts 4:31).  He also shared all he had with the rest of the Children of Truth (Acts 4:32-35).

32 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary was part of the congregation that great fear fell upon after Ananias and Sapphira died for lying to the Spirit of Truth (Acts 5:5-11).  He was in the Temple when signs and wonders were done at the hands of the Apostles of Truth (Acts 5:12-14).  His house was one of those that the Apostles of Truth taught in after being persecuted in the Temple (Acts 5:40-42).

James the son of Mary was part of the multitude of believers who were pleased when Stephen the Jew was selected as one of the seven to administer food to the widows (Acts 6:1-6).  He witnessed the congregation continued to grow greatly in size as Stephen the Jew performed signs and wonders (Acts 6:7-8).

33 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary heard of the unjust trial and stoning of Stephen the Jew (Acts 7:57-60).

Persecution from Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul aka the Apostle Paul) caused the believers to be scattered from Jerusalem, except for the Apostles of Truth - which appears to have included James the son of Mary (Acts 8:1).  He was among those who made great lamentation when Stephen the Jew was buried (Acts 8:2).

James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth sent John the Jew and Peter the Jew to baptize the Samaritans in the Spirit of Truth (Acts 8:14-16).  He was waiting for them when they returned from preaching to the Samaritans (Acts 8:25).

James the son of Mary went from not believing that the Man of Truth was the Messiah of Israel to being one of the Apostles of Truth in as little as two years.

37 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary witnessed Barnabas the Jew bring Paul the Jew to the Apostles of Truth in Jerusalem (Acts 9:26-28).  He was an Apostle of Truth when Paul the Jew stayed with was Peter the Jew and then met him (Galatians 1:18-19).

James the son of Mary watched as Paul the Jew had to flee to Tarsus and the congregations in Israel entered into a period of rest from persecution (Acts 9:29-31).

42 AD (Jerusalem):

Peter the Jew told James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth in Jerusalem about how the Gentiles had come into the House of Truth (Acts 11:1-17).  James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth declared that the Gentiles had been allowed to come into the House of Truth without being circumcised (Acts 11:18).

James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth sent Barnabas the Jew out to Antioch to help organize Jews and Gentiles into a single congregation (Acts 11:20-23).

43 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary witnessed Agabus the Jew and the other Prophets of Truth go down to Antioch to warn the Children of Truth to prepare for a famine that would come across the entire Roman Empire (Acts 11:27-28).

44 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary partook of the relief that the congregation in Antioch sent to Jerusalem by Barnabas the Jew and Paul the Jew (Acts 11:29-30).

James the son of Mary experienced the persecution of the congregation in Jerusalem by King Herod Agrippa I that included arresting and killing James the son of Zebedee (Acts 12:1-2).

James the son of Mary was among those praying for the release of Peter the Jew when he was also arrested by King Herod Agrippa I (Acts 12:3-5).  He was told that their prayers were answered by an Angel of Truth freeing Peter the Jew from the prison (Acts 12:11-17).

Peter the Jew gave instructions to make sure that James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth were told before he went into hiding (Acts 12:17).  He heard about how King Herod Agrippa I blamed the soldiers for his escape and killed them before leaving Jerusalem (Acts 12:18-19).

James the son of Mary witnessed Barnabas the Jew and Paul the Jew leave Jerusalem with Mark the Jew (Acts 12:25).  He saw Mark the Jew return to Jerusalem after abandoning the mission (Acts 13:13).

James the son of Mary appears to have taken the place of James the son of Zebedee in the inner circle that included Peter the Jew and John the Jew after James the son of Zebedee was killed.

48 AD (Jerusalem):

Barnabas the Jew and Paul the Jew return to Jerusalem to get a ruling from James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth concerning whether the Gentiles had to be circumcised to be saved and to tell them about how the Gentiles had responded to the Good News (Acts 15:1-4).  James the son of Mary heard the accusation of the Pharisee Children of Truth who said that the Gentiles had to be circumcised and keep the whole Law of Truth to be saved when the Apostles of Truth met to decide the matter (Acts 15:5-6).

James the son of Mary heard the testimony of Peter the Jew concerning the Gentiles being baptized by the Spirit of Truth without being circumcised (Acts 15:7-11). He heard the testimony of Barnabas the Jew and Paul the Jew concerning how the Father of Truth had confirmed the Gospel that they preached to the Gentiles with signs and wonders (Acts 15:12).  James the son of Mary gave the ruling that the Gentiles did not need to be circumcised and keep the whole Law of Truth to be saved, but only the moral part (Acts 15:13-21).

James the son of Mary verified that that the Gospel that Paul the Jew had learned from the Man of Truth was the same as that taught by him and the other Apostles of Truth (Galatians 2:1-6).

James the son of Mary was one of the three pillars who confirmed that Paul the Jew should continue to preach to the Gentiles, while they preached to the Jews (Galatians 2:7-9).  He and the other two pillars asked that Paul the Jew take up collections from the Gentiles to help the poor persecuted followers of the Man of Truth in Israel, which he was eager to do (Galatians 2:10).

James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth sent Paul the Jew with Barnabas the Jew, Judas Barsabas, and Silas the Jew with a letter that contained the ruling on the Gentiles to distribute to all the congregations (Acts 15:22-29).

James the son of Mary witnessed Peter the Jew leave to go to Antioch and then he sent other Jewish Children of Truth to Antioch as well (Galatians 2:11-13).

49 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary witnessed Mark the Jew leave to go with Barnabas the Jew to help deliver the letter with the ruling on the Gentiles to the congregations in Cyprus (Acts 15:37-39).  (Paul the Jew and Silas the Jew delivered the letter with the ruling on the Gentiles to the other congregations (Acts 16:4-6).

52 AD (Jerusalem):

Paul the Jew came up to Jerusalem after his second mission trip and reported what he had accomplished to James the son of Mary and the other Apostles of Truth (Acts 18:21-22).  John the Jew left with him to oversee the gathering of the collections from the Gentile congregations to the help the poor persecuted followers of the Man of Truth in Israel (2 Corinthians 8:18-21).  Peter the Jew also left with him to bring the Good News to the Jews outside of Israel, starting with those in Galatia (1 Peter 1:1).

57 AD (Jerusalem):

Paul the Jew returned to Jerusalem after his third mission trip and met with the congregation led by James the son of Mary (Acts 21:17).

The next day Paul the Jew reported to James the son of Mary and the elders of the congregation when he brought the collections from the Gentile congregations to the help the poor persecuted followers of the Man of Truth in Israel (Acts 21:18-19).

Then James the son of Mary and the elders of the congregation told Paul the Jew about the accusation that he was teaching Jews to not circumcise their children and to not keep the whole Law of Truth (Acts 21:20-21).  They then told Paul the Jew that he needed to help pay the expenses of fulfilling a vow and go to the Temple to show that he taught no such thing, but he also kept the whole Law of Truth (Acts 21:22-24).

James the son of Mary and the elders of the congregation then confirmed again that the Gentile Children of Truth did not need to be circumcised and keep the whole Law of Truth to be saved (Acts 21:25).

So, Paul the Jew did as James the son of Mary and the elders of the congregation said, so the Jewish Children of Truth would know that Paul the Jew taught no such thing, but he also kept the whole Law of Truth (Acts 21:26).

James the son of Mary became the sole head of the Jerusalem congregation.  He was over as the world-wide headquarters of the church.  Even Paul the Jew recognized his authority.

57 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary witnessed Jews from Asia falsely accuse Paul the Jew in the Temple of bringing Trophimus the Gentile into the court of the Israelites in the Temple (Acts 21:27-29).  He saw the angry mob of unbelieving Jews take Paul the Jew out of the Temple as required by the Law of Truth for polluting the Temple, but without a trial as required by the Law of Truth (Acts 21:30-31).

James the son of Mary witnessed the Roman captain lead an army in rescuing Paul the Jew and carrying him to the stairs of the Antonian Fortress, while the angry mob of unbelieving Jews called out for the death of Paul the Jew (Acts 21:31-36).  He saw the Roman captain give Paul the Jew permission to speak to the crowd and heard Paul the Jew begin to speak to them in Hebrew (Acts 21:37-40).

James the son of Mary witnessed Paul the Jew give his testimony to the listening crowd (Acts 22:1-20).  He saw the crowd of unbelieving Jews turn angry again and demand the death of Paul the Jew when he told them that the Man of Truth was sending him to the Gentiles (Acts 22:21-23).

James the son of Mary witnessed the Roman captain have Paul the Jew bound to examine him by scourging and then have Paul the Jew freed from his chains after learning that he was a Roman citizen (Acts 22:24-29).  He saw the Roman captain command the Chief Priests and the Sanhedrin to come to the Roman court to try Paul the Jew (Acts 22:30).

James the son of Mary witnessed Ananias the High Priest have the Temple guards hit Paul the Jew in the mouth when he began his defense (Acts 23:1-2).  He heard Paul the Jew prophesy that the Father of Truth would strike down Ananias the High Priest for having him struck contrary to the Law of Truth (Acts 23:3).  He heard Paul the Jew say that he was unaware that Ananias was the High Priest when he prophesied against him (Acts 23:4-5).

[Ananias (Ananus son of Ananus) had usurped position of High Priest after Felix the Roman governor had the former High Priest Jonathan murdered.  He took over this position until King Herod Agrippa II approved of Ishmael son of Fabus as the replacement for Jonathan. Also, the Romans had taken away the right of the High Priest to conduct trials and gave it to the Nasi, the head of the Sanhedrin, which was a Pharisee.  So, Ananias was usurping both the position of High Priest and that of the Nasi when he put Paul the Jew on trial.]

James the son of Mary witnessed Paul the Jew cry out to the Sanhedrin that he was a Pharisee and was only on trial because he taught the resurrection of the dead (Acts 23:6).  He saw the Pharisees take up the side of Paul the Jew and the Sadducees try to kill him until the Romans rescued him again (Acts 23:7-10).

James the son of Mary heard of how the Man of Truth told Paul the Jew that he would go to testify of him in Rome (Acts 23:11).  He heard of how the Sadducees plotted to kill Paul the Jew, but the nephew of Paul the Jew learned of the plot and warned the Roman captain (Acts 23:12-22).  He heard of how the Roman captain sent Paul the Jew by night to Caesarea to be tried there (Acts 23:23-35).

57 AD (Caesarea):

James the son of Mary heard of how Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees brought a lawyer with him, who accused Paul the Jew before the Roman governor of polluting the Temple and causing a riot (Acts 24:1-9).  He heard of how Paul the Jew defended himself by saying that they had no proof of their accusations and the only reason that he was on trial was because he taught the resurrection of the dead (Acts 24:10-21).  He heard of how the Roman governor then gave Paul the Jew liberty to see his friends, which included James the son of Mary, until the Roman captain could be questioned (Acts 24:22-23).

James the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew witnessed to Felix the Roman governor and Drusilla his Jewish wife about the Man of Truth (Acts 24:24-25).

59 AD (Caesarea):

James the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew had remained in custody of the Romans until Festus replace Felix as the Roman governor because he refused to pay Felix a bribe (Acts 24:26-27).

59 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary heard of how Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees tried to persuade Festus the Roman governor to bring Paul the Jew up to Jerusalem for trial, so they could kill him on the way to trial (Acts 25:1-3).  He heard of how the Roman governor told them that they would have to come to Caesarea, so Paul the Jew could be tried in a Roman court (Acts 25:4-5).

59 AD (Caesarea):

James the son of Mary heard of how Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees went down to Caesarea to falsely accuse Paul the Jew of the same things as before (Acts 25:6-7).  He heard of how Paul the Jew again defended himself by saying that they had no proof of their accusations (Acts 25:8).

James the son of Mary heard of how Festus the Roman governor tried to get Paul the Jew to go to Jerusalem to stand trial before Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees, but Paul the Jew appealed to Caesar (Acts 25:9-11).  He heard of how the Roman governor said the Paul the Jew would be sent to Rome to appear before Caesar (Acts 25:12).

James the son of Mary heard of how King Herod Agrippa II and his sister Bernice came to visit Festus the Roman governor (Acts 25:13).  He heard of how the Roman governor explained to them how Paul the Jew had appealed to Caesar to avoid being tried in Jerusalem before Ananias the High Priest and other Sadducees (Acts 25:14-21).

James the son of Mary heard of how King Herod Agrippa II agreed to hear Paul the Jew himself (Acts 25:22).  He heard of how Paul the Jew was brought before King Herod Agrippa II, so he could hear the case of Paul the Jew (Acts 25:23-27).

James the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew told King Herod Agrippa II that he was a Pharisee and had only been on trial because he taught the resurrection of the dead (Acts 26:1-8).  He heard of how Paul the Jew proceeded to tell the king how he had became a follower of the Man of Truth who was sent to preach the Good News to the Gentiles (Acts 26:9-18).  He heard of how Paul the Jew ended his defense by saying that it was for preaching the resurrection of the Man of Truth from the dead to the Gentiles that false accusations had been raised against him (Acts 26:19-23).

James the son of Mary heard of how Festus the Roman governor accused Paul the Jew of being mad, but Paul the Jew replying that he was telling the truth (Acts 26:24-25).  He heard of how Paul the Jew then told King Herod Agrippa II that everything he said about the Man of Truth had been written about by the Prophets of Truth (Acts 26:26-27).

James the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew tried to persuade King Herod Agrippa II, his sister Bernice, Festus the Roman governor, and everyone else at his trial to come into the House of Truth (Acts 26:28-29).  He heard how King Herod Agrippa II found Paul the Jew innocent and would have freed him if he had not appealed to Caesar (Acts 26:30-32).

James the son of Mary heard of how Paul the Jew was put in ship to be taken to Rome for his appeal to Caesar (Acts 27:1-2).

James the son of Mary could have witnessed most of these things that happened to Paul the Jew, but there is no doubt he heard of them at the very least.  He knew how Ananias the High Priest and the other Sadducees had sought to kill Paul the Jew based on false accusations without a fair trial but had been prevented by the Romans.  He understood that Ananias the High Priest and the other Sadducees would do this to other believers if there was ever a time without Roman oversight.

60 AD (Rome):

Paul the Jew arrived in Rome but was not put in the prison there while he waited for his appeal to Caesar (Acts 28:16).

Paul the Jew then met with the Jewish religious leaders of Rome and told them about the Good News, which some of them believed (Acts 28:17-24).  He told those Jews who did not believe that he was going to bring the Good News to the Gentiles of Rome (Acts 28:25-29).

Paul the Jew rented a house during the two years, where he continued to preach the Good News to all who would hear him and teach them how to follow the Man of Truth, which James the son of Mary no doubt heard about from believing Jews coming to Jerusalem from Rome (Acts 28:30-31).

61 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary wrote his epistle to believers from the twelve tribes of Israel that were scattered outside of Israel from the world-wide headquarters of the church (James 1:1).  He wrote to those Jewish believers who gathered together in synagogues due to the efforts of the other Apostles of Truth (James 2:1-2).

[This passage literally says "come into your synagogue".  The Greek word "sunogogen" translated as "assembly" is actually a form of "synagogue".  So, James the son of Mary was writing to Jewish believers throughout the Roman Empire, Parthian Empire, and beyond.]

Jews had brought the Good News back to other Jews from Jerusalem as far east as Parthia and Persia, as far south as Mesopotamia, Arabia, and Egypt, as far west as Cyrene in Libya and Rome, and as far north as Pontus (Acts 2:8-11).  Then disciples of the Apostles of Truth brought the Good News to Jews as far north as Cyprus, as far east as Antioch, and as far west as Cyrene in Libya (Acts 11:19-20).

Peter the Jew had established Jewish congregations in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia (1 Peter 1:1).  He had also established a congregation in Babylon (1 Peter 5:13).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jews in the synagogues of Salamis in Crete (Acts 13:4-5). He preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Antioch in Pisidia (Acts 13:14-15).  He had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Iconium in Galatia (Acts 14:1).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jews who met beside the river near Philippi in Macedonia on the Sabbath because they did not have enough men to form a synagogue (Acts 16:12-14).  He had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Thessaloniki in Macedonia (Acts 17:1-2).  He had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Berea in Macedonia (Acts 17:10-12).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Athens in Achaia (Acts 17:16-17).  He had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Corinth in Achaia (Acts 18:1-5).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jews in the synagogue of Ephesus in Asia (Acts 18:19).  He preached again in the synagogue of Ephesus in Asia when he returned and then taught in the yeshiva (school of disputing) of Tyrannus (Acts 19:1-9).

Paul the Jew had preached to the Jewish religious leaders of Rome in Italy (Acts 28:16-24).

John the Jew had established congregations through the Roman providence of Asia as well (Revelation 1:11).

So, James the son of Mary helped the Good News to be taken to where 88% of the Jews in the world lived by serving as the head of the world-wide headquarters of the church from Jerusalem - the capital of the Jewish world.  He settled disputes between Jewish believers over things like what Gentiles had to do to be saved.

In addition, the congregation James the son of Mary led continued to tell Jews from all over the world who came to each of the three main Feasts of Truth each year.  His epistle could have been sent to some of them as well.

(By this time, the Good News had only been taken to where less than 10% of the Gentiles in the world lived. The church was very much a Jewish institution that had more Jews than Gentiles and was led almost completely by Jews.)

61 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary warned the Jewish Children of Truth to persevere through the persecution that was rising in Jerusalem and across the Jewish world (James 1:2-4).  He told them to endure through suffering because that made them like the Prophets of Truth (James 5:7-11).

James the son of Mary said that the Jewish Children of Truth were being oppressed and taken to court by rich unbelieving Jews because they followed the Man of Truth (James 2:5-7).  However, he warned these rich unbelieving Jews that they would face terrible judgment by the Father of Truth for their economic oppression of the Jewish Children of Truth as well as condemning them in the Jewish courts and killing them unjustly (James 5:1-6).

62 AD (Jerusalem):

James the son of Mary was martyred and his brother Jude the son of Mary replaced him as the head of the headquarters of the world-wide church until Jerusalem was destroyed (Jude 1:1).

So, how did James the son of Mary come to be martyred and what followed his death?

Ananias the High Priest was appointed as the legitimate High Priest by King Herod Agrippa II in 61 AD, which led to a rise in persecution against believers.  When the Roman governor Festus died unexpectedly, there was no Roman oversight until Albinus was appointed as the new Roman governor and arrived in Jerusalem.

During this time, Ananias the High Priest again usurped the authority of the Nasi, a Pharisee, by convening the Sanhedrin.  He then led other Sadducees in hindering the Pharisees from attending the Sanhedrin to ensure that the Sadducees had a solid majority.

Ananias the High Priest then had James the son of Mary and those with him arrested in 62 AD.  They were then tried in the illegally convened Sanhedrin and condemn to stoning.  They were taken outside of Jerusalem and stoned to death.

This caused a riot in Jerusalem.  So, a delegation was sent to meet the new Roman governor Albinus while he was on his way to Jerusalem from Alexandria in Egypt.  They complained to him about the unjust trial and execution of James the son of Mary.

So Albinus sent a letter to Ananias the High Priest saying that he would be punished for illegally convening the Sanhedrin and unjustly executing James the son of Mary.  King Herod Agrippa II then removed Ananias the High Priest and replaced him with Jesus the son of Damneus as High Priest.

This ended the illegal trials of Ananias the High Priest, but judgment on him was coming during the Great Revolt.

In 68 AD, Ananias the High Priest led the Sadducees against the Zealots.  The Zealots sieged them in the Temple.

Ananias the High Priest and the Sadducees ordered that Idumeans be let into Jerusalem to fight against the Zealots.  However, the Idumeans invaded the Temple and killed Ananias the High Priest instead.  The Father of Truth had used them to strike Ananias the High Priest as Paul the Jew had said.

So, what did James the son of Mary teach that brought the persecution of Ananias the High Priest?

James the son of Mary warned believers to ask the Father of Truth for wisdom in faith without going back and forth about whether He would give them what they asked for (James 1:5-8).  He taught that the poorest believer in the Man of Truth was better off than the richest unbeliever because the richest unbeliever would perish forever while the poorest believer would live forever with the Man of Truth (James 1:9-12).

James the son of Mary warned believers to not let the desires of their flesh lead them into sin because that would lead them to eternal death (James 1:13-16).  He taught that since the Father of Truth gave believers His word and every other good gift, then believers need to be careful to listen to one another and avoid letting their anger cause them to not do what the Father of Truth says is right (James 1:17-20).

James the son of Mary warned believers to not just hear the Word of Truth but also put it into action to be blessed by the Father of Truth (James 1:21-25).  He taught that the religion of a man is worthless if he speaks evil with his mouth and that religion is only pure when it causes people to help those in need while keeping themselves clean from the pollution of the world (James 1:26-27).

James the son of Mary warned believers to not favor the rich in their congregations over the poor (James 2:1-4).  He taught when they did that they were transgressing the Law of Truth (James 2:8-11).

James the son of Mary warned believers to show mercy to those in need so that they will be shown mercy (James 2:12-16).  He taught works must accompany their faith or their faith is dead (James 2:17-20).

James the son of Mary taught that Abraham (Abram) was just by the works that came from his faith in the Father of Truth (James 2:21-24).  He taught that Rahab also was justified by her works because faith without works is a dead as a body without a spirit (James 2:25-26).

James the son of Mary warned believers to not enter into the ministry lightly because those in the ministry would be held to a higher standard by the Father of Truth (James 3:1).  He taught that those who could control their words could control their entire bodies like a horse is controlled by a bridle or a ship is controlled by a rudder (James 3:2-4).

James the son of Mary warned believers to watch their words because their tongue is hard to control and can do great damage (James 3:5-8).  He taught that they should not be blessing the Father of Truth with their tongues and then using that same tongue to curse people made by the Father of Truth (James 3:9-10).

James the son of Mary warned believers to not lie against the truth by saying that their heart is good when they are not producing good works (James 3:11-14).  He taught that the wisdom that comes from the Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) will cause bad works while the wisdom that comes from the Father of Truth will produce good works (James 3:15-18).

James the son of Mary warned believers to avoid desiring things for selfish reasons because it just creates strife (James 4:1-3).  He taught that believers cannot be friends with the world who resists the Father of Truth and also be friends with the Father of Truth who submit to him (James 4:4-6).

James the son of Mary warned believers to resist the Father of Lies by submitting to the Father of Truth in repentance (James 4:7-10).  He taught that believers are not to speak evil of each other and judge each other because then they are speaking evil of the Law of Truth and judging it instead doing what it says (James 4:11-12).

James the son of Mary warned believers to not brag about what they were going to do because they could not be successful in anything without the Father of Truth (James 4:13-16).  He taught them to not sin by neglecting to do the good that they know to do (James 4:17).

James the son of Mary warned believers to not swear oaths but to just let their yes mean yes and their no mean no (James 5:12).  He taught them to pray for each other when they were sick and to repent of any sin in their lives, so they could be healed (James 5:13-16).

James the son of Mary taught believers that Elijah (Eliyahu) had the same emotions as them but his prayers were answered because he did what the Father of Truth said was right (James 5:16-18).  He warned that if any believer left off following the truth and then another converted the wayward believer to return to following the truth, then the wayward brother would be saved from eternal death (James 5:19-20).

So, the teachings of James the son of Mary were contrary to many things that Ananias the Priest taught Jews.

James the son of Mary taught Jews that wealth was no indicator of the favor of the Father of Truth nor was poverty a sign of His disfavor.  He warned against showing favoritism to the rich because that was transgression of the Law of Truth.

James the son of Mary taught Jews that the religion of the Father of Truth takes care of the poor while keeping pure from the pollution of the world.   He warned against friends with wicked people like the Roman governors if they wanted to be friends with the Father of Truth.

James the son of Mary taught Jews they must show mercy to others if they wanted the Father of Truth to show mercy to them.  He warned against not doing good to other people.

James the son of Mary taught Jews that they could ask the Father of Truth for wisdom themselves without going through anyone else.  He taught that they could pray to the Father of Truth themselves and He would hear them if they did what He said was right.

James the son of Mary warned Jews to not make oaths.

The teachings of James the son of Mary are also contrary to what the False Church of Rome and others teach.

James the son of Mary warned believers that their desires could lead them into sin and eternal death.  He taught that they must avoid selfish desires.  He taught that if a believer returned to sin that it would result in eternal life unless they turned away from sin again.

James the son of Mary warned that works as well as faith were required for believers to be saved.  He taught their works would show whether they belonged to the Father of Lies or the Father of Truth.

James the son of Mary warned that believers need to be careful to listen to one another without letting anger cloud their judgment.  He taught that they must be careful to not speak evil of each other and judge each other.  He taught them to not brag about what they were going to do.

James the son of Mary warned that believers need to be careful about what they say.  He taught that the praise of their mouth was worthless if they used the same mouth to curse other people.

James the son of Mary warned that believers must repent of all sin to get grace from the Father of Truth.  He taught that they must repent of any sin in their lives for the Father of Truth to heal them of any disease.

James the son of Mary warned believers that the Law of Truth had to be obeyed.  He taught that they must avoid speaking evil of it or judging it as wrong.

So, James the son of Mary was nothing like the founders of the False Church of Rome claimed.

James the son of Mary was the son of Joseph the Jew and Mary the Jew.  He was from the same womb as the Man of Truth.

The eastern leg of the False Church of Rome calls James the son of Mary, "James the Brother of God".  Clement of Alexandria, Tertullian, and Helvidius all state that James the son of Mary was the brother of the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) because Mary the Jew had given birth to both of them.

The earliest writers, including people who possibly knew someone who had known James the son of Mary, say that he was indeed the son of Mary the Jew and Joseph the Jew.  It was only more than a century after he died that people began claiming otherwise.

James the son of Mary could not have gone without ever bathing nor could he have entered into the Holy Place.

Only the descendants of Aaron could be Priests of Truth who were allowed into the Holy Place (Numbers 3:1-10).

The penalty for coming into the Temple in an unclean state was death (Leviticus 15:31).  Even the Levites who helped the Priest of Truth were required to take a bath when they were consecrated to work in the Temple (Numbers 8:5-7).  Even the High Priest of Truth had to take a bath if he became unclean from performing his duties before he could come back into the camp - much less the Temple (Numbers 19:7-8).

James the son of Mary was not at the last supper and did not even believe upon the Man of Truth, until the resurrected Man of Truth showed himself to James the son of Mary many days after he rose again.

It is the Man of Truth that Heaven and Earth came into existence for, who is the only head of his church (Colossians 1:15-18).  All things were made for him and by him (Hebrews 2:9-10).

James the son of Mary was not even an Apostle of Truth when the Spirit of Truth was poured out at Pentecost.  Peter the Jew, John the Jew, and James the brother of John could not have appointed him to be head of the church in Jerusalem at this time.

James the son of Mary had to learn how to keep the commandments of the Man of Truth from the other Apostles of Truth for two years before becoming an Apostle of Truth.  He did not impart to them secret knowledge that the Man of Truth had given him.

James the son of Mary did not become one of the Three Pillars of the church in Jerusalem until after James the brother of John died.  Only then, did he replace James the brother of John as one of the Three Pillars.

James the son of Mary settled disputes among believers, but he never sat upon a throne of any sort.

James the son of Mary eventually became the head of the church in Jerusalem after Peter the Jew and John the Jew left with Paul the Jew to take the Good News to Jews outside of Israel.  This church served as headquarters of the world-wide church because it was in the capital of the Jewish world.

James the son of Mary was called an Apostle and never called a Bishop, much less the bishop over all other bishops.   There were no bishops who were overseers over large congregations in large cities like in the False Church of Rome.   Bishop was a position way below that of an Apostle of Truth.

These overseers were elders who had been appointed by the Apostles of Truth (Acts 20:17-28).  A congregation had multiple bishops who oversaw different aspects of the business of the congregation (Philippians 1:1).  These bishops were married and had responsibility to take care of the meeting place of the congregation (1 Timothy 3:1-5).  Bishops were appointed by the pastor and worked under him (Titus 1:5-9).

Their writings that claimed that it was the Pharisees, not the Sadducees, who persecuted James the son of Mary was an attempt to stir up hatred against the Rabbis who came from the Pharisees.  These writings that make this alternative version of events have no real historical basis.  Only Josephus was actually at the place where the events occurred when they occurred.

Josephus wrote that the Sadducee High Priest Ananus son of Ananus (Ananias) took advantage of a time of a lack of Roman oversight over Jerusalem to persecute the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) in Jerusalem.  He knew that James the Just was the head of the believers in Jerusalem.

The High Priest had James the Just and whoever was found with him brought before the Sanhedrin.  He then charged them with teaching people to follow a false prophet.  Afterwards, he sentenced them to stoning.  So, James the Just was stoned to death outside of Jerusalem along with the others.

Hegesippus also reported the same thing.

These histories ties in directly with the content of the Epistle of James.  The Epistle of James indicates that he was under tremendous persecution and expected to be martyred.

James the son of Mary is identified in these histories as being the brother of the Man of Truth and the author of the Epistle of James.

Some modern scholars have tried to prove that the Epistle of James was not written by James the son of Mary, but they simply have no evidence to support their position.

James the son of Mary could not have been more than sixty years old when he was stoned.  He was married like the rest of the Apostles of Truth - except for Paul the Jew and Barnabas the Jew (1 Corinthians 9:5).

According to Josephus, Origen, and Eusebius the unjust trial and murder of James the son of Mary caused a riot in Jerusalem against The High Priest that eventually led to the destruction of Jerusalem.

So, do not be deceived by the False Church of Rome or anyone else concerning James the son of Mary.  Instead, do what he taught and did.

It is only those who do what the Word of Truth says - not those who only hear what it says - who will be blessed by the Father of Truth (James 1:22-25).

Faith that does not produce works of righteousness cannot save you (James 2:14-17).  Faith that does not produce works of righteousness is dead, for even the Spirits of Lies (devils aka demons aka unclean spirits aka gods) believe that the Man of Truth rose from the dead (James 2:18-20).

It was the works of righteousness that Abraham produced that proved he believed the Father of Truth (James 2:21-23).  It was the works of righteousness that Rahab produced that proved that her faith in the Father of Truth was not dead (James 2:24-26).

You will only have a lifestyle that produces good works if you have a good heart (James 3:11-13).  Do not lie against the Word of Truth and confuse yourself by saying you have a good heart when you are not doing what the Word of Truth says is evil (James 3:14-16).

Do not think that you can be friends with both this world and the Father of Truth (James 4:4-5).  You must submit to the Father of Truth and resist the Father of Lies to receive grace from the Father of Truth (James 4:6-7).

You must turn from the error of your ways in order to be saved from the second death (James 5:20).

Come into the House of Truth by acting on the Word of Truth in faith and surrendering control of everything to the Man of Truth because you believe that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10).  The Father of Truth will then cause you to have both the desire and ability to do what is He says is good (Philippians 2:13).  You will be able to live a life that produces good works because the Man of Truth will give you the strength to do it (Hebrews 13:20-21).

Come into the House of Truth!
