When does the New Year begin?

Soon, most Jews around the world will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah.  Rosh Hashanah means, "the head of the year".  This holiday is called that by the Rabbis, because they say that it is the first day of the civil year.  In fact, they recognize four different New Year days throughout the year.

The first day of Tishrei is New Year Day for civil affairs.  It is the first month on the Rabbinic calendar.  It is the main New Year Day for determining the dates of almost everything, including when the number of the year is incremented.

The fifteenth day of Shevat is New Year Day for the trees.  It is the fifth month on the Rabbinic calendar.  It is used for determining if a tree is old enough for its fruit to be eaten.

The first day of Nisan is New Year Day for the rule of kings.  It is the seventh month on the Rabbinic calendar.  (The eighth month in a leap year.)  It is used for determining how long a king has ruled, renting houses, and the fulfillment of vows.

The first day of Elul is New Year Day for the cattle.  It is the last month on the Rabbinic calendar.  It is the day when all cattle pass under the rod, so that one out of ten can be given as a tithe.

The traditional Rosh Hashanah greeting is, "l'shanah tovah".  This literally means, "to a good year".   So, strictly speaking, people do not literally say, "Happy New Year" on Rosh Hashanah, but the sentiment is similar.

This greeting is a shortened form of the longer traditional greeting of "l'shanah tovah tikateiv v'tichateimu".  This literally means, "May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year".

In similar manner, people eat apple slices dipped in honey on Rosh Hashanah to express their earnest expectation to be inscribed and sealed for a good year.

The reason for this is the writings in the Talmud.  The Talmud is composed of two parts.  The first part is the Mishnah, which is oral traditions of the elders that were finally written down to preserve them during the fourth century AD.  The second part is the Gemara, which is the analysis and commentary of the Mishnah by various famous Rabbis.

The Rabbis teach from the Mishnah that there are three classes of people on Earth - The Righteous, The Wicked, and The Unsealed.  According to them, on Rosh Hashanah the fate of The Righteous is sealed to be written in the Book of Life forever, and fate of The Wicked is sealed to be blotted out of the Book of Life forever.  They teach that very few people fall into either category on Rosh Hashanah, so most are part of The Unsealed.  They say, that The Unsealed have until Yom Kippur to repent and make amends with other people, so that they will be counted righteous enough to be granted a good year.  They call this period, when The Unsealed have an opportunity to repent, The Days Of Awe.  They claim that being granted a good year, is to give The Unsealed another chance to be counted as one of The Righteous on the next Rosh Hashanah.

So, instead of wishing people a "Happy New Year" on Rosh Hashanah, you wish people to be inscribed and sealed for a good year.  More to the point, you are wishing that they are not found to be one of The Wicked on Rosh Hashanah, so that they may repent enough to inscribed and sealed for a good year on Yom Kippur.

However, does the Book of Truth really support this tradition of wishing people "l'shanah tovah" on Rosh Hashanah?

Some have maintained that Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the agricultural year in the Book of Truth.

However, it is the end of the feast of the ingathering that marks the end of the agricultural year in the Book of Truth (Exodus 23:16).  This is the last of the three times in the year when people were required to come to bring their offerings to the Father of Truth (Exodus 34:21-23).  It is plain that the feast of the ingathering is Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles) (Deuteronomy 16:13-16).

Sukkot ends on the twenty-second day of the seventh month (Leviticus 23:34-41).  The seventh month counting from Nisan as the first month, is Tishrei on the Rabbinic Calendar.

The Sabbath year, when no one is to sow or reap crops, begins after the end of the sixth agricultural year - when the grape harvest has been gathered in (Leviticus 25:2-4).  This is the Year of Release, when everyone is released from debt at the end of the Sabbath year (Deuteronomy 15:1-2).  Everyone that has been indenture as a servant to pay off their debt, is to be furnished with everything they need to have a fresh start (Deuteronomy 15:12-14).  It is for this reason, during Sukkot at the end of the seventh year, everyone is to be instructed out of everything in the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law), so they can be successful when the next agricultural year begins, right after Sukkot ends (Deuteronomy 31:10-13).

So, the agricultural year begins on the twenty-third day of the seventh month (Tishrei) in the Book of Truth.

Some have said that the agricultural year begins on first of Tishrei, because that is the month when the Year of the Yubal (Jubilee) begins.  However, the Year of the Yubal actually begins on the tenth day of the seventh month of the seventh Sabbath year (Leviticus 25:8-10).

So, there is absolutely no basis in the Book of Truth to call the first day of the seventh month (Tishrei), "Rosh Hashanah".  However, there is another day that the Book of Truth calls, "Rosh Hashanah".

The phrase "Rosh Hashanah" does appear one time in the Book of Truth.  It is the fifth and sixth words of Ezekiel 40:1 in the Masoretic text.   (Remember that Hebrew is read right to left.)

However, "Rosh Hashanah" here is is not the first day of Tishrei, but the first day of Nisan as clarified later in the same passage (Ezekiel 45:18-21).

It is called this in accordance with the commandment in the Law of Truth, that the beginning of the month when Pesach (Passover) is kept, is to be the beginning of the year (Exodus 12:2-11).   It is the month of Abib (Aviv) that is to observed as the head of the year (Deuteronomy 16:1).  The Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) continued to observe Nisan (Abib) as the first month of the year, after the captivity in Babylon was over (Esther 3:7).

It is rebelling against the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) to call the first day of Tishrei, the head of the year, instead of calling the first day of Nisan, the head of the year.

What is more, the first day of the seventh month (Tishri) is actually called by a different name in the Book of Truth.  It is called Yom Teruah (The Feast of Trumpets) (Leviticus 23:23-25).  The first day of the seventh month is literally called, the Day of Alarming.

So, it is violating the Law of Truth to call first day of Tishrei, "Rosh Hashanah" instead of "Yom Teruah".

The Rabbis got this rebellious practice of calling the first day of the seventh month on the calendar of the Book of Truth as the first day of the first month from the Babylonians.  The Babylonians called this the head of their year.  It was used for determining the days when they had feasts to honor their idols, and made sacrifices to their idols. 

Even before the exile to Babylon, the people of Israel had learn to call the seventh month, "Ethanim", from the Canaanites (1 Kings 8:2).  The Canaanites started their year on the first day of Ethanim, and celebrated it as the rebirth of Baal each year.  They also got their religion from Babylon before the time of Abraham (Abram).

People should especially avoid greeting each other with "l'shanah tovah" on the first day of Tishrei.  Instead, they should obey the commandment of the Father of Truth to not work on this day, congregate together, and sound the alarm on the shofar (horn) (Numbers 29:1).

The entire concept of the fate of people being sealed on the first day of Tishrei, if they were righteous or wicked enough, comes from the Babylonian religion.  In like manner, the idea that people can be inscribed and sealed for a good year, also comes from this idolatrous religion.  The Book of Truth teaches that it is how you end that matters, and your fate is sealed at death.

Celebrating "Rosh Hashanah" on this day with the practices learned in Babylon, instead of celebrating Yom Teruah with the practices taught in the Law of Truth, is no better than celebrating Easter with the practices of the Druids, instead of wishing people "Happy Firstfruits!", while celebrating the practices taught in the Law of Truth.  The Mensch Who Killed Christmas, would also kill Rosh Hashanah.

The Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) is behind this deception!  He has inspired this Rabbinic Distort to put the Feasts of Truth in the wrong order, to be called by the wrong names, and to be celebrated in the wrong way.  He knows, that when the Feasts of Truth are celebrated correctly and in the right order, that they form The Greatest Play Ever, which clearly tells the story of the Messiah of Israel.

The Father of Truth has sent the Messiah of Israel, so that the day of salvation has come for everyone, who will accept him as their savior (Isaiah 49:6-8)!  The time to repent is not during the Days of Awe, but now, because the Father of Truth has raised the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) from the dead, so all people can be certain that they will face His judgment (Acts 17:30-31)!  Today is the day, for you to come into the House of Truth and be saved (2 Corinthians 6:2)!

It will be a happy new year for you, every year of your life, if you will come into the House of Truth, by making the Man of Truth your king, because you believe that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9).

It's Not Just A Jewish Thing

Should Christians celebrate Jewish holidays?

Every year more and more of the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) are celebrating various "Jewish" holidays like Hanukkah, Passover, the Feast of Tabernacles and the like.

Of course, this is to be expected in Israel, because it is the Jewish state.  One might even expect it in various places, like parts of America that have a high Jewish population.  However, this is happening in many places in America, where there is practically no Jewish presence.  More than that, this is a global trend, and not just an American phenomenon.  

While one might expect this from those who belong to a Messianic congregation, the surprising thing is that many of them, are members of various churches, that meet on Sunday.  This is happening in congregations of every denomination that the Children of Truth attend.

Some of them are quite open about observing these holidays, but many more have been quietly doing so in their homes, without telling other people.  Often initially they celebrate these "Jewish" holidays, in addition to various traditional "Christian" holidays like Christmas and Easter.  Over time, many of them drop off celebrating the traditional "Christian" holidays in their homes, so that these "Jewish" holidays become the only religious holidays that they celebrate.

Many of them keep celebrating these "Jewish" holidays, and often even refrain from working on the Sabbath (sunset Friday to sunset Saturday), even though they still attend congregations that meet on Sunday.  In fact, I have known a number of religious professionals, who observe these "Jewish" holidays, while still conducting services on Sunday.

Now one might expect this, in a family where the husband or wife is Jewish, or one of them grew up celebrating these "Jewish" holidays.  However, most of the time, neither one of them has any known Jewish ancestry, and they did not grow up in a Jewish household.  So why is it becoming more and more common, for the Gentile Children of Truth to celebrate "Jewish" holidays?

Well, for one thing there has been an ever increasing percentage of the Children of Truth, who are Jewish.  The Jewish Children of Truth have had influence on the Gentile Children of Truth, even as they both become more and more like the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ).  They are both experiencing changes in their perspectives.  So in some part, it is a by product of this trend.  After all, it's a Jewish thing to be following the Man of Truth.

The main thing, that both the Jewish Children of Truth and the Gentile Children of Truth, have been coming to realize, is that these "Jewish" holidays, are not really "Jewish" holidays at all.  Most of these so-called "Jewish" holidays, are the Feasts of Truth (Moedim aka Feasts of the Father of Truth).

The Father of Truth said, that the Feasts of Truth belong to Him (Leviticus 23:2).  He said, that the Feasts of Truth were not just for those Jewish Children of Truth, who were in the wilderness, but were also for the Gentile Children of Truth, who were not there, when these holidays were given (Deuteronomy 29:14-15).  The Jewish Children of Truth were there, because they were in their fathers loins (Hebrews 7:9-10).  So it is the Gentile Children of Truth, who were not there, when these holidays were given, but have a right to celebrate them .

Still, not every Jewish person is part of the Israel that the Father of Truth intended, just because they were among those, who were given these holidays in the wilderness (Romans 9:6-8).  The Children of Truth are the Israel that the Father of Truth always intended, so these holidays are for all of the Children of Truth (Galatians 6:15-16).  These Gentile Children of Truth have a right to celebrate these holidays, because they have become part of that commonwealth of Israel (Ephesians 2:11-13).  So these holidays do not belong to Jewish people, who do not follow the Man of Truth, but they belong to the Children of Truth who have received the better circumcision.

The Gentile Children of Truth have been coming to realize the roots of their faith comes from those Jewish Children of Truth who were given the Feasts of Truth in the wilderness (Romans 11:16-18).   The nature of the entire congregation of the Children of Truth has been reverting back to its original state as more and more Jewish people come back into the House of Truth (Romans 11:24).  So it is only natural that the Gentile Children of Truth would start celebrating the holidays given by their Father with the Jewish Children of Truth in the House of Truth.

These Feasts of Truth are not "Jewish" holidays but are His holidays. So it's not just a Jewish thing to be celebrating these holidays.

Even though it may seem like the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost) is doing something new by leading the Gentile Children of Truth to celebrate these "Jewish" holidays this is not a new phenomenon.  In fact, it is very ancient.  It started as soon the Spirit of Truth lead the Jewish Apostles of Truth to bring Gentiles into the House of Truth.

The Gentile Children of Truth gathered offerings on the three Feasts of Truth where first fruits were gathered (First Fruits, Pentecost, Feast of Tabernacles) in both Galatia and Corinth to send to Jerusalem (1 Corinthians 16:1-3). [The Greek phrase, “mian sabbaton” that is translated as "first day of the week" in this verse is literally “first Sabbath”.  These three feasts are referred to as "first Sabbaths" because they were special Sabbaths and almost always occurred before the regular weekly Sabbath.  Two of them always occurred on the first day of the week.  This is part of how we know who changed the Sabbath to Sunday.]

The congregation at Corinth was obviously familiar with the lamb of Passover (Pesach) that represented the Man of Truth (1 Corinthians 5:7).  They knew that Passover was about the death of the Lamb.

There were so few Jews in Philippi that they could not even form a synagogue but instead met to pray at the river on the Sabbath (Acts 16:11-13).  Still Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul aka The Apostle Paul) celebrated the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Matzoh) with the almost exclusively Gentile congregation at Philippi when he was on his way to present the first fruits offerings that had been gathered by the mostly Gentile Children of Truth at the Temple in Jerusalem (Acts 20:6).  Also the Gentile Children of Truth at Corinth obviously had been celebrating the Feast of Unleavened Bread and knew what it meant to purge out the leaven (1 Corinthians 5:6-8).  Both of these congregations understood the importance of removing the leaven.

In like manner the congregation at Rome understood the connection between the firstfruits of the barley harvest and the bread made from the rest of the harvest (Romans 11:16).  The Gentiles in the congregation at Corinth were also familiar with the Feast of First Fruits (Bikkurim) (1 Corinthians 15:20-23).   Paul the Jew revealed to them the significance of the raising of the Firstfruits.

Paul the Jew had left the fledgling congregation that he had just started at Ephesus to celebrate Pentecost (Shavuot) in Jerusalem (Acts 18:19-21).  [A careful study of the events before and after show that Pentecost was the Feast of Truth that he celebrated in Jerusalem.  The Feast of Passover occurred too early for him to have arrived in Jerusalem on time after he left Corinth.  The Feast of Tabernacles occurred too late for him to have traveled to Galatia and Phrygia before Winter after he left Jerusalem.]   Both this congregation and the one at Corinth understood the significance of Pentecost since Paul the Jew had celebrated it with the congregation in Ephesus right before he left Ephesus at the end of his three year mission there to collect the first Sabbath offerings from the congregation at Corinth (1 Corinthians 16:8). The next year, the elders of the mostly Gentile congregation at Ephesus understood why Paul the Jew had to be in Jerusalem for Pentecost (Acts 20:16-17).  A Gentile Child of Truth from Ephesus named Trophimus even went to Jerusalem to celebrate Pentecost with Paul the Jew (Acts 21:27-29).  The congregations of Ephesus and Corinth understood why waving the leavened bread was so important.

This same congregation at Corinth was also familiar with the sounding of trumpets on the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) (1 Corinthians 15:51-52).  The congregation at Thessaloniki was also familiar enough with the Feast of Trumpets that Paul the Jew could use it to explain the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).  These congregations in Corinth and Thessaloniki that contained many Gentile Children of Truth were familiar with the Day of Alarming that will keep the Father of Truth from taking collateral damage.

Paul the Jew also had fasted on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) with the congregations that he started in Crete (Acts 27:7-9).  It was these congregations in Crete that he left Titus to continue building while he was imprisoned in Rome for the first time (Titus 1:1-5).  He also referenced this same holiday when he wrote to Timothy, who he had left in charge of the congregation at Ephesus when he was imprisoned in Rome for the second time, concerning the day when the Man of Truth would return to the Earth to judge all people and begin his reign over the Earth (2 Timothy 4:1-3).  Timothy and the mostly Gentile congregation were familiar enough with the Day of Atonement to understand that it was this Day when all of the Children of Truth will begin to reign over the Earth with the Man of Truth (2 Timothy 4:8).  These congregations understood the importance of eating the breakfast of champions and total surrender.

Finally, Paul the Jew used the tabernacles built at the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) to explain to the congregation at Corinth that the Father of Truth is building an eternal place where the Children of Truth can dwell with Him forever in their eternal bodies (2 Corinthians 5:1-4).  In like manner the Man of Truth told John the Jew (Yochanon ben Zebedee aka the Apostle John) to write a book of what he saw for the mostly Gentile congregation of Ephesus and the other mostly Gentile congregations of the Roman providence of Asia (Revelation 1:9-11).  In this book the tabernacle built for the Feast of Tabernacles was used to explain to these mostly Gentile congregations how the Children of Truth would live with their Father forever in the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:1-4).  These congregations had experienced His Jamboree so that they could understand what would happen in the aftermath of the return of the Man of Truth that would bring about the end of all trouble.

So both the Jewish and Gentile Children of Truth when the Apostles of Truth lived on the Earth were celebrating all of the Feasts of Truth in some manner.  That is why Paul the Jew told the Children of Truth in Colosse to not let anyone judge them for celebrating these holidays because they were all about the Man of Truth (Colossians 2:16-17).

It has been shown that the congregations in the cities of Corinth, Thessaloniki, Philippi, Ephesus, Colosse, and Rome all celebrated these holidays along with all of the congregations in the Roman providences of Asia, Galatia and Crete.  In fact, Paul the Jew references at least one of the Feasts of Truth in every letter that he wrote to the mostly Gentile congregations that he started.  All seven of the Feasts of Truth were being celebrated by the mostly Gentile congregations in ancient times because it's not just a Jewish thing.

The Feasts of Truth form the greatest play ever.  This play does not just tell the story of the Jewish people.  The main point of this play is to tell the story of the Man of Truth who the Gentile Children of Truth follow.  This play also tells the story of the Children of Truth.  These holidays were meant for the Gentile Children of Truth as much as they were meant for the Jewish Children of Truth.   It's not just a Jewish thing.

The Feasts of Truth are not the only holidays that belong to the Children of Truth.  Since they have been grafted into the Israel intended by the Father of Truth then every holiday in the Book of Truth (the Bible) belongs to them.

Purim was never intended just for those who were born Jews but for all who joined themselves to the Jewish Children of Truth (Esther 9:26-28).  It is only natural that the Gentile Children of Truth should also celebrate walking on the path of true love.

The Man of Truth celebrated the Feast of Dedication (Chanukah aka Hanukkah) (John 10:22-23).  So it is only natural that those who follow him would also celebrate the Festival of Lights.  They are the ones who are truly dedicating the Temple.

Since these holidays and the Feasts of Truth are the holidays that are found in the Book of Truth then it would better to call them "Biblical" holidays instead of "Jewish" holidays.  It's not just a Jewish thing to celebrate the "Biblical" holidays.

More than that the Children of Truth have been called "Christians" after the Gentiles came into the House of Truth (Acts 11:26).  The Children of Truth continued to be known as "Christians" by the unbelieving Jews during the lifetime of Paul the Jew (Acts 26:28).  The Children of Truth even identified themselves as "Christians" during the years when they were celebrating these "Biblical" holidays (1 Peter 4:16).   So then these "Biblical" holidays are the real "Christian" holidays.  It's not just a Jewish thing to be celebrating the real "Christian" holidays.

So this brings up some good questions.  Since the Children of Truth were celebrating the real "Christian" holidays when their congregations were started by the Apostles of Truth then why do most of them celebrate other holidays instead?  If these holidays belong to the Children of Truth then why do people call them "Jewish" holidays?

On the one hand, the so-called "Christian" holidays like Christmas and Easter that were created by the False Church of Rome cannot be found in the pages of the Book of Truth.  These false "Christian" holidays were introduced on purpose by the False Church of Rome to keep the Children of Truth from gaining the understanding that only comes from celebrating the real "Christian" holidays that are found in the Book of Truth.  The Apostles of Truth were already fighting with those who created this doctrine and warned the Children of Truth about it. 

Paul the Jew said that the Children of Truth are to mark those who teach any doctrine contrary to what is taught in the Book of Truth and avoid them because they are not from the Man of Truth (Romans 16:17-18).  He warned that the Children of Truth should not let themselves be robbed by a philosophy that is based on pagan ideas and expresses itself through traditions that did not come from the Man of Truth (Colossians 2:8).  He said that the Children of Truth should continue in the traditions that the Apostles of Truth taught in the Renewed Covenant (B'rit Chadashah aka New Testament) (2 Thessalonians 2:13-15).  He said that the Children of Truth should withdraw themselves from any of the Children of Truth who do not walk orderly according to the traditions that the Apostles of Truth gave (2 Thessalonians 3:6).  In like manner, Peter the Jew (Cephas aka Simon aka Simeon aka the Apostle Peter) reminds the Children of Truth that they were redeemed from these pagan traditions by the precious blood of the Passover Lamb - The Man of Truth (1 Peter 1:18-20).  The Apostles of Truth knew that those who formed the foundational doctrine of the False Church of Rome would try to substitute other holidays based on pagan traditions to lead people away from the understanding of the truth that only comes from celebrating the Biblical holidays.

On the other hand, the Rabbis went out of their way to change how these holidays should be celebrated to make them hard to celebrate and even harder to see the story they tell.

For example, the Rabbis changed the names of some of the holidays like calling the Feast of Trumpets that occurs in the Fall "the head of the year" ("Rosh Hashanah").  The command of the Father of Truth is to call the month that Passover that occurs, in the Spring, the first month of the year making the first day of Abib (Aviv) "the head of the year" (Exodus 12:2-6).  The Feast of Trumpets occurs on the first day of the seventh month on the Biblical calendar (Leviticus 23:24).  So they have obscured the meaning of the Feast of Trumpets by renaming it and also obscured the order of the Feasts of Truth by changing which month begins the yearly cycle of the Feasts of Truth.  So whenever anyone follows their calendar for the Feasts of Truth the play begins in the fifth act, goes on the seventh act, then goes to first act and finally ends in the fourth act.  No wonder people cannot see that the story of the Man of Truth, the Jewish people and the Children of Truth that is told by the Feasts of Truth!

The Rabbis have made it a burden to celebrate the Biblical feasts for anyone that tries to do so according to their rules (Matthew 23:4).  They have created many of their own traditions for these holidays that they treat as if they were laws from the Father of Truth (Mark 7:7).  They will even lay aside His commandments to keep their own traditions (Mark 7:9).  No wonder people think that the Biblical holidays are "Jewish" holidays!

Matters are then made worst when religious professionals from the Children of Truth go to ask the Rabbis for insight about how the Biblical holidays are celebrated even though the Man of Truth called them blind guides who worry over trivial matters while ignoring important matters (Matthew 23:24).  These are very people who have obfuscated how to celebrate the Biblical holidays that speak of the Man of Truth, who their fathers killed, because they are contrary to all people (1 Thessalonians 2:15).  They are keeping the very traditions that once caused Paul the Jew to persecute the Children of Truth (Galatians 1:13-14).  No wonder people have no idea that the Apostles of Truth taught the Gentile Children of Truth to celebrate the Biblical holidays!

For these reasons people have come to call the Biblical holidays the "Jewish" holidays even though they are the real "Christian" holidays that the Apostle of Truth celebrated with the mostly Gentile Children of Truth!  This is just another example of Rabbinic distort.

So the False Church of Rome and the Rabbis have both contributed to the Children of Truth celebrating false "Christian" holidays instead of the real "Christian" holidays found in the pages of the Renewed Covenant.  The Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) has inspired both of these entities to lie about the Biblical holidays (John 8:44).  It is the Spirits of Lies (devils aka demons aka unclean spirits aka gods) that have manipulated both of these entities into hiding the truth (Ephesians 6:12).  The Father of Lies does not want the Children of Truth to understand that it's not just a Jewish thing to celebrate the Biblical holidays.

The Spirit of Truth will reveal the mysteries hidden in the Biblical holidays to those who celebrate them as the Father of Truth commanded (1 Corinthians 2:10).  It is not hard to celebrate the Biblical holidays in the way that the Father of Truth commanded (1 John 5:3).

The Children of Truth just need to remember that the instructions for celebrating the Feasts of Truth were originally for the Jewish Children of Truth living in the Jewish homeland with the Temple standing in Jerusalem.  Without these conditions they can only celebrate them to a limited extent just like the Gentile and Jewish Children of Truth who lived outside of the Jewish homeland in the congregations started by the Apostles of Truth.  They need to be gracious to each other and not fight over difference in customs for celebrating the Biblical feast because they are playing with broken toys.

The Children of Truth will gain the understanding into mysteries that have been hidden since they were lead into celebrating other holidays once they return to celebrating the real "Christian" holidays in the way that they were celebrated by the Apostles of Truth.  After all, it's not just a Jewish thing to celebrate the Biblical holidays!

Of course, it does not really matter what holidays anyone celebrates or how they celebrate them until they come into the House of Truth.  The Biblical holidays, like everything else in the Book of Truth, are meant to point people to the Man of Truth so they can come into the House of Truth (Acts 3:20-22).  People come into the House of Truth when they surrender to the Man of Truth because they believe that He was raised from the dead by His Father (Romans 10:8-10).  Gentiles can also come into the House of Truth because it's not just a Jewish thing (1 Corinthians 12:13).

The Day of Alarming

Are you ready for the Day of Alarming?

When I was a kid I watched a lot of western movies and television shows.  Occasionally, a group of people would get into some sort of desperate situation where someone else was trying to kill them.  Sometimes it was a tribe of Native Americans on the warpath and sometimes it was a band of outlaws.  So they would take some sort of defensive action like circling their wagons or holing up in a cabin.  Then they would try to fight off the hostile forces as best they could even though they knew that they were badly outnumbered and had no chance of winning.

Eventually, they would run out of ammunition or something like that.  Then just when all hope was gone they would hear the sound of a bugle playing short notes in rapid succession in the distance and they knew that they were going to be saved.  Those attacking them would also hear that same sound and would ride off towards the hills as fast as they could because they knew that were going to be overwhelmed by an invincible force.  That bugle being played in rapid succession was the sound that announced that the cavalry was on its way.  To those under attack it was the sound of rescue but to those who were attacking it was the sound of certain defeat.

The bugle is a small keyless trumpet.  What gave hope to the hopeless and put fear in their tormentors was the alarm being sounded by those coming to rescue their people.  For both groups the alarming of the trumpet signified the soon coming arrival of the cavalry.

This was pattern was first set in the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law).

The Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) gave the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) instructions for assembling on the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah aka Shofarim) which is literally "the Day of Alarming" in Hebrew (Leviticus 23:23-25).  He then gave some more instructions concerning sacrifices on the Feast of Trumpets (Numbers 29:1-6).  Now it has been observed that none of the words for trumpet actually appear in the Hebrew of these two passages.  In fact, these words were added by the translators for clarity.  Yet an alarm was often raised by a person shouting instead of using a trumpet of some sort.  So why is do people call it the Feast of Trumpets instead of the Day of Alarming?

For one thing, the Day of Alarming always falls on the day of the new moon and is one of the Feasts of Truth.  The silver trumpets are always to be sounded with a blast over the sacrifices on these days (Numbers 10:10).  It is worth noting that these silver trumpets were chatsotserah instead of regular shofars (Numbers 10:2).  A chatsotserah was a long, straight, metal trumpet like those used in medieval movies to announce the arrival of a king with three medium blasts while banners hung from them.  Josephus plainly states this and it is confirmed on the arch of Titus where it shows the Temple implements being paraded.  So the Day of Alarming was originally done with long, straight, silver trumpets instead of the curved shofar made from the horns of a ram.

However, shofars are also spoken of being blasted on these days in the Psalms (Psalm 81:3-4).  So either these long, straight, silver trumpets were considered to be a kind of shofar or shofars were used in conjunction with the long, straight, silver trumpets on these days.  It is certain that the shofars were not used as a substitute since the long, straight, silver trumpets were in use at the Tabernacle in Shiloh, in the Tabernacle of David and in the Temple during the days of Asaph who wrote this Psalm.

So either way it is implied that the alarming is to be done with the silver trumpets at the Temple, and perhaps also with shofars, instead of shouts although it is not explicitly stated.  This is why people commonly call it "the Feast of Trumpets" instead of  "the Day of Alarming" as it is literally called in the Law of Truth.

Perhaps both types of alarming are meant.  Many people who cannot sound the alarm on a curved shofar, a straight shofar or a metal trumpet could still sound the alarm by shouting.

It is also worth noting that no where in the instructions for the Day of Alarming does it specified how many times the alarm is to be sounded or for how long.  It just says to meet together and sound the alarm. Traditionally, it is done for 100 or 101 blasts on the curved shofar to reflect the mourning of the mother of Sisera (Judges 5:28-30).  There is a supposed minimal of thirty blasts on the shofar in any case.

This is a Rabbinic tradition and is no more a commandment of the Father of Truth than the tradition of hanging ornaments on Christmas trees (Mark 7:6-8).  Each congregation can decide for itself how long to sound the alarm and whether to sound the alarm with their voices, curved shofars, straight shofars, trumpets, or any combination there of.  The only explicit requirement stated in the Law of Truth was the blasting of the long, straight, silver trumpet at the beginning of the day with the morning sacrifices, during the day with the special sacrifices for the Feast of Trumpets and at the end of the day with the evening sacrifices when the Temple was standing.  Since the Temple is not standing then we are not even required to blast these first, middle and last trumpets because we are Playing With Broken Toys.

Alarming on these long, straight, silver trumpets was supposed to be memorial to remind the Children of Truth that their Father was taking care of them (Leviticus 23:24).

It could not have been a memorial of the giving the Law of Truth at Mount Sinai as some have suggested since that happened on the Feasts of Weeks (Pentecost aka Shavuot).  More than that a single yubal (the straight shofar) was used on that day instead of two long, straight, silver trumpets (Exodus 19:13).  [The Hebrew word translated as "trumpet" here is "yubal".]   Also alarming by nine short blasts was not sounded when this occurred but rather one long continuous blast (Exodus 19:19).  The best way to understand how the Day of Alarming is a memorial is to look at the other passages where these long, straight, silver trumpets were used for alarming. 

When the first long, straight, silver trumpet sounded the alarm then part of the Children of Truth were to move to meet the Father of Truth in a new place (Numbers 10:5).  When the second trumpet sounded the alarm, then the rest of the Children of Truth would join them (Numbers 10:6).  The day that the Children of Truth left their old location to meet the Father of Truth in a new location was a day of alarming.

The alarming on the long, straight, silver trumpet also announced that the Father of Truth was coming to save His people like the cavalry (Numbers 10:9).  The day when this occurs is also a day of alarming.

There was just such a day of alarming when the Children of Truth were delivered from those who forsaken their Father when the alarming was sounded on the long, straight, silver trumpets (2 Chronicles 13:10-18).

There was another day of alarming on the long, straight, silver trumpets when the Father of Truth took revenge on the enemies of His people (Numbers 31:1-7).

All of this foreshadowed what would be done by the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ).

The alarming like that of a trumpet was heard on the day that the Man of Truth announced that he was coming to save his people (Revelation 1:7-11).  That was another day of alarming.

The Day of Alarming, often called the Feasts of Trumpets, indeed tells of another day of alarming that will soon come upon the Earth.  When this future day of alarming comes then the alarming of the trumpet will be the sound of rescue for the Children of Truth and the sound of certain defeat for those who have attacked them.  It is all part of The Greatest Play Ever.

When the first trumpet sounds the alarm the Children of Truth that have already died will be move off of the Earth to meet with the Man of Truth at a new location in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16).  [The Greek word for trumpet here is "salpigks" which is a long, straight, metal trumpet and is the word used to translate the Hebrew word "chatsotserah" into Greek in the Septuagint.]  When the second trumpet sounds the alarm then the rest of the Children of Truth will join them (1 Corinthians 15:51-53).  The day that the Children of Truth leave their old location on this Earth to meet with the Man of Truth in a new location in the air will be a day of alarming (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).  The Father of Truth simply does not take Collateral Damage.

During this day there will be panic on the Earth that will cause people to shout in alarm.  The Earth will be full of the sound of horns, bells, klaxons, and sirens sounding the alarm in an effort to deal with all the emergencies that occur on this day.  It will truly be the Day of Alarming.

This day of alarming with a sound like a trumpet will announce that the judgement of their enemies will soon begin after the Children of Truth have been taken up to meet the Man of Truth (Revelation 4:1).  The Great War will soon begin.

During this war seven Angels of Truth will each be given a trumpet to sound (Revelation 8:2).  Every time one of those first six trumpets sound it will be a day of alarming (Revelation 8:6-9:19).  When that seventh trumpet sounds it will be a day of alarming announcing that the Man of Truth is coming to save his people like the cavalry (Revelation 11:15).

After that there will be another day of alarming when the trumpet will sound to announce the arrival of the Man of Truth will take vengeance on the enemies of his people (Matthew 24:29-31).  He will be coming with the Children of Truth to deliver his people according to the flesh - Israel (Revelation 19:11-16).  It will be the day when everyone on Earth will begin to submit to the Man of Truth in Total Surrender.

When the trumpets sound on the Day of Alarming in the near future because the Man of Truth has came for the Children of Truth then you will want it to be the sweet sound of rescue and not the dreaded sound of certain defeat.  The only way for this to happen is to come into the House of Truth.

No one knows how long they have to come into the House of Truth before that soon future day of alarming comes just like no one can know when the Day of Alarming (Feast of Trumpets) will start due to its dependence upon the conditions of the heavens to allow the spotting of the first sliver of the new moon from the Temple (Matthew 24:36-39).  More importantly you are not guaranteed tomorrow or even the rest of today so now is the time to come into the House of Truth (2 Corinthians 6:2).

You can come into the House of Truth and surrender to the Man of Truth today because you believe that His Father raised him from the dead (Romans 10:8-13).  You will surrender to him sometime in the future whether or not you come into the House of Truth (Philippians 2:9-11).  So why not come into the House of Truth where you can hear the sound of sweet rescue instead of the dreaded sound of certain defeat on the Day of Alarming?

Collateral Damage

What is the timing of the Rapture?

When nations go to war unintended people are often killed.  Sometimes this includes those on the side that is attacking.  This occurs for a number of reasons.  Sometimes the target cannot be clearly identified. Sometimes a combatant hits the wrong target by accident.  Sometimes one of the enemy combatants fire upon the friendly combatants from the middle of friendly territory.  This leaves their opponent little choice but to fire back sometimes killing those on their own side in the cross fire.

However, there are other cases where generals know that in order to achieve a military objective they will likely kill some on their own side no matter how hard they try to avoid doing so.  One example of this is carpet bombing by the Allies in World War II.

The bombs of this era lacked any kind of guidance system and were simply dropped out of a plane.  No matter how carefully the bombardier aimed the bombs would still get blown off course on the way down.  A single bomb aimed at a factory could hit a war prison that was nearby and miss the factory completely.

So eventually a strategy was developed of a row of planes dropping a series of bombs at the same time in a single pass over the target area.  The bombs would form a grid shape and destroy everything inside the grid when they landed.  This was usually effective in destroying the target.  Needless to say, this process of carpet bombing not only destroyed the target but also everything near the target including the war prisons.

In some cases, there were war prisons that got hit in the carpet bombing by the Allies which contained American, French and British prisoners.  The prisoners were not bomb proof and were sometimes killed inadvertently in the effort to destroy the war making capacity of the German army that had imprisoned them.  They were referred to as collateral damage by the Allied generals because they were not the intended target even though they were still killed.  The generals knew that this collateral damage was inevitable but they consider this to be an acceptable loss that was necessary to win the war.

Like those generals there is a Great General that must also deal with the issue of His own people being embedded in the area of conflict.  The Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD)  is the greatest warrior that will ever be (Exodus 15:3).  He will go forth and defeat His enemies (Isaiah 42:13).  He is the Great General.

The Great General has the greatest army that will ever fight.   This army will bring terror, great pain and destruction to all of His enemies in the Final Battle (Isaiah 13:6-9).   This army will not be like any army that mankind has fought against before (Joel 2:1-3).  Their appearance will bring terror to all that see them (Joel 2:4-6).  Those in this army will not break rank and they will not be wounded when they are struck by any weapon in the Final Battle (Joel 2:7-9). 

The Great General has commissioned the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) to be the Captain of His army (Joshua 5:13-15).  His Captain will lead an army composed of the Children of Truth (those who obey the Father of Truth because they love Him) and the Angels of Truth from Heaven to bring destruction in the Final Battle (Isaiah 13:2-5).  His Captain will come with the Angels of Truth when he leads His army in the Final Battle (2 Thessalonians 1:7).

The Children of Truth will come with His Captain to execute judgment on the wicked in the Final Battle (Psalm 149:6-9).  His Captain will come with the Children of Truth when He appears again on the Earth in the Final Battle (1 Thessalonians 3:13).  His Captain will come with the Children of Truth to destroy the Children of Lies in the Final Battle (2 Thessalonians 1:9-10).  The Children of Truth will be with the Captain of His army in the Final Battle when he executes judgment on the wicked (Jude 1:14-15).

The heavens will give no light and the Earth will be shaken when the Great General pours out His wrath in the Final Battle to destroy every one in the world that does what He calls evil  (Isaiah 13:10-13).  The heavens will go dark and the Earth will tremble when He leads His great army in the Final Battle (Joel 2:10-11).  The heavens will go dark and Earth will be shaken when this Great General roars out of Zion to defend Jerusalem in the Final Battle (Joel 3:14-16).  The Children of Truth are coming with this Great General in the Final Battle when He causes the heavens to go dark (Zechariah 14:5-7). 

This Final Battle does not occur until the very end of the Tribulation  (Matthew 24:29-30).

The Tribulation is the Great War that leads up to the Final Battle.  The Tribulation will not come until the Gospel has been preached to every single ethnic group on Earth (Matthew 24:14).  Everyone on Earth would die in the Tribulation if the Great General did not cut it short for the sake of Israel (Matthew 24:21-22).  The Tribulation will come upon every Jew and Gentile that does evil (Romans 2:9).

The Man of Lies (The Antichrist aka The Beast aka The Man of Sin) rises to power at the beginning of the Tribulation by causing a war that will kill one in four people on Earth (Revelation 6:2-8).  Then the enemies of the Great General will know that His wrath has began (Revelation 6:15-17).  His wrath will be completed in the last seven plagues of the Tribulation (Revelation 15:1).

His wrath will be poured out on the Children of Lies in the Great War (John 3:36).  His wrath is for those that refuse to believe the Word of Truth regardless of the evidence (Romans 1:18-20).  His wrath is for those that have hardened their hearts against Him (Romans 2:5).  His wrath will be poured out on the Children of Lies that do the things that He says are wicked (Ephesians 5:5-6).  His wrath will come upon the Children of Lies in the Great War because of what they do (Colossians 3:5-6).

This Great General does not accept collateral damage.  His wrath is reserved for His enemies (Nahum 1:2).  He will not leave the Children of Truth in harms way when He pours out His wrath upon the Earth in the Great War (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11).  He will bring the Tribulation upon those that trouble the Children of Truth (2 Thessalonians 1:6).  The Captain of His army will take vengeance on the Children of Lies that do not know Him and will not obey His Captain (2 Thessalonians 1:8).

How will the Great General prevent there from being any collateral damage?

The Great General will do it in same manner as when He poured out His wrath in the Great Flood.  First He warned Noah that His wrath was coming (Genesis 6:11-13).  Then He told Noah how he could escape His wrath (Genesis 7:1-4).  Noah was separated from the danger before His wrath came down (Genesis 7:15-16). Noah was lifted above the Earth, the place of destruction, when His wrath came down (Genesis 7:15).  Noah was taken out of the way before destruction came because he was a righteous (Hebrews 11:7).

The Great General operated the same way when He poured out His wrath on Sodom and Gomorrah.  First He warned Lot that His wrath was coming (Genesis 19:13). Then He told Lot how he could escape His wrath (Genesis 19:14-15).  Lot was separated from the danger before His wrath came down (Genesis 19:16).  Lot would have been lifted above the valley, the place of destruction, when His wrath came down if Lot had not asked to go to Zoar instead (Genesis 19:17-20).  Lot was taken out of the way before destruction came because he was righteous (2 Peter 2:6-8).

The Great General has warned the Children of Truth of His coming wrath (Luke 21:34-35).  He has told them how to escape His wrath (Luke 21:36).  They will be separated from the danger before His wrath comes down just like Noah and Lot (2 Peter 2:5-9).  They will be lifted above the Earth, the place of destruction, just before His wrath comes down (1 Thessalonians 4:17). They will be taken out of the way before destruction comes because they have turned to righteousness (1 Thessalonians 1:9-10).

This process of removing the Children of Truth from the Earth before His Wrath is poured out occurs in The Greatest Play Ever as well.

The Feasts of the Father of Truth together form the Greatest Play Ever (Leviticus 23:4).   Each of these Feasts are an act in the Greatest Play Ever that tell the story of the Man of Truth, His dealings with the nation of Israel, and His dealings with the Children of Truth.

The last act that has been played out in the history of the Children of Truth was that of Pentecost (Shavuot).  In that act the Children of Truth were baptized in the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost) so they could have the power to bring the Gospel into all of the Earth (Acts 2:1-4).  There is a long intermission between that act and the next act in the play.  During the long intermission between that act and the next act the Children of Truth have been busy using that power to carry out the work of the Man of Truth throughout the Earth (Mark 16:15-18). 

Soon the long intermission will be over and the Day of Alarming (Yom Teruah aka The Feast of Trumpets (mistakenly called Rosh Hashanah by the Rabbis)) will begin.   This next act in the Greatest Play Ever tells of His plan to prevent collateral damage.

In the rehearsal of this fifth act, the shofars (trumpets) are blown produce the sound of alarming to call people together (this is what Teruah means) and then the people are gathered together to meet with the Father of Truth (Leviticus 23:24-25).

In the rehearsal of the sixth act everyone fasts as a sign of mourning for their disobedience and the atonement that was made for their disobedience to the Father of Truth (Leviticus 23:27-29).

This day is also known as Judgment Day (Romans 2:5-6).  On this day every person will get what their deeds deserve (Romans 2:5-6). The wicked will be destroyed on Judgment Day (2 Peter 3:7).  Those that have repented and became the Children of Truth will be rewarded on Judgment Day (1 John 4:15-17).

The intermission between the sounding the alarm with the shofar (trumpet) and Judgment Day is called the Days of Awe when people have one last opportunity to repent before coming before the Father of Truth on Judgment Day.

The blowing of shofars serves a warning of the approach of the Judgment Day when the Final Battle will occur (Joel 2:1).  When the Final Battle is over then Israel will mourn for their disobedience to the Father of Truth and their treatment of the Man of Truth who made atonement for them (Zechariah 12:10-14).

The period between the blowing of the shofars (trumpets) to gather people to meet the Father of Truth and the Final Battle is the time of the Tribulation.  This is the time of terrible trouble that will come upon the whole Earth (Daniel 12:1).  Some people will repent during the Tribulation before the Father of Truth judges the whole world after the Final Battle although it will cost them their lives to do so (Revelation 6:9-11).

Just like how in the fifth act of the Greatest Play Ever shofars (trumpets) are blown to call people to meet the Father of Truth so also shall the Children of Truth that have died shall meet with the Man of Truth to prepare to fight with him in the Final Battle (1 Thessalonians 4:16).  Just as Yom Teruah ends with one last great blast of the shofar (trumpet) that signals the end of the gathering people together to meet the Father of Truth before the Days of Awe begin so also shall the last shofar (trumpet) blast cause the Children of Truth that are alive to be gathered together to meet the Man of Truth before the Tribulation begins (1 Corinthians 15:51-53).  In fact the Man of Lies cannot even be revealed to start the Great War until the Children of Truth are taken off the Earth so that he can operate unhindered (2 Thessalonians 2:7-9).

The Greatest Play Ever plainly shows that the Great General will take the Children of Truth out of the Earth before He unleashes the Great War known as the Tribulation.  The Great General does not take collateral damage and He does not consider destroying some of His Children when pours out His wrath to be an acceptable loss.

Before the Children of Truth are taken off the Earth to meet the Man of Truth there will be a great falling away among those that call themselves followers of the Man of Truth (2 Thessalonians 2:1-3).  This great falling away will happen because their love for the Man of Truth will have grown cold due to the growth in iniquity that comes right before the Great War (Matthew 24:12).  In this great falling away most that call themselves believers are consumed with materialism and have become lukewarm (Revelation 3:14-17)  This is the final phase of the long intermission between when the Spirit of Truth was poured out at Pentecost and when the Children of Truth will be taken off the Earth at the sounding of the shofar (trumpet) (Revelation 1:10-11).  After the Church age has ran its course then the shofar (trumpet) will sound and the Children of Truth will be brought up by Spirit of Truth to view the Great War from Heaven (Revelation 4:1-2).  When the last of those that will repent during the Tribulation have came up to Heaven as well then the Children of Truth will return to the Earth in the army of His Captain to fight in the Final Battle (Revelation 19:11-16).

Of course, it makes no difference when the Great General will remove His Children from the Earth if you have not come into the House of Truth.  You have an appoint with death and you will participate in Judgment Day whether or not you come into the House of Truth (Hebrews 9:27).  You will certainly keep this appointment with death unless you are among that come into the House of Truth in the last days before the Great War and never experience death (1 Corinthians 15:50-52).  You are not guaranteed tomorrow or even the rest of today so you need to come into the House of Truth right now (2 Corinthians 6:1-2).  You need to come into the House of Truth right now by deciding to follow every order of His Captain that was raised from the dead by the Great General  (Romans 10:9-11).
