A Feast Without Food

How can there be a feast without food?

The Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) announced His Feasts of Truth in the wilderness (Leviticus 23:4).  However, everyone is to fast on the sixth feast, Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement) (Leviticus 23:27-29).  So, Yom Kippur is a feast without food.  How can this be?

This apparent paradox is resolved when you look under the covers, instead of looking only at the surface.

First, a little history about the word "feast".

Festival originally meant "a holy day".  The word "feast" came from  the word "festival" and originally had the same meaning.  A holy day was usually celebrated with the community gathering to eat special foods associated with the holy day.  So, the word "feast" came to mean people eating food together to celebrate a holy day.  Overtime, the word "feast" came to mean people eating together to celebrate any event.

So, when Hebrew was first translated into English, the English readers understood that the Father of Truth was announcing His Holy Days in the wilderness.

The Hebrew words make this plainer.  There are two Hebrew words usually translated as "Feasts" in the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law).  The paradox disappears when you translate these words with their more literal meanings in modern English.

One word is "chag" and it means a feast.  It is the word used of the three times a year when the men of Israel are to gather before the Father of Truth for a feast in Deuteronomy 16:16.  This word is always used of celebrations where people gather together to eat.

The other word is "moed" and it means an appointment.  It is the word used of when Israel is to set aside certain days of the year as holy to meet with the Father of Truth in Leviticus 23:4.  This word means "a holy day", when used in the context of meeting with the Father of Truth.

The words "holy day" have been contracted together to form the word "holiday" in modern English. So, Yom Kippur is not a feast without food.  It is a holiday without food.

What is fasting on Yom Kippur about?

The commandment for observing Yom Kippur is to afflict your soul, whether you are a Jew or a Ger (a Gentile living among the Jews as part of the Jewish people) (Leviticus 16:29-31).

The Rabbis teach that people are forbidden to do five things on Yom Kippur in order to afflict their souls: eat food, engage in sex, wash their bodies, anoint their bodies with anything, and wear leather shoes.

For this reason, the traditional greeting in the days leading up to Yom Kippur is "Tzom Kal", which means "have an easy fast".

The Rabbis teach that afflicting the soul is just part of the atonement process of Yom Kippur.  People also need to do three other things as well to make things right between the Father of Truth and themselves: pray, repent, and perform Tzedakah.

Although Tzedakah commonly translated as charity, that is not really accurate.  It literally means "righteousness".  There is no idea in Rabbinic thinking of doing something good for someone in need to show them love. (Charity literally means "love".)  Instead, you do something good for someone in need to show that you are righteous.  You give to the less fortunate to show that you are obeying the commandment of the Law of Truth to do so.  You are doing justice to those less fortunate when you do something good for them.

For many Jews, Tzedakah begins with the Kapparot ceremony in the evening that begins Yom Kippur, where a chicken is waived over peoples heads.  The waived chicken is then killed, and the meat is given to someone who is poor.  (Sometimes money is waived instead, and it is given to someone who is poor.)  This shedding of blood, or money substitute, is thought to help atone for the sins of the giver.

In similar manner, there are elaborate synagogue services, where people publicly participate in prayers (Kol Nidrei, Ma'ariv, Mussaf, Mincha, Ne'ila) from the Mahzor (prayer book), T'shuva (Repentance), and Vidui (corporate confession of sins).

In the Kol Nidrei, all personal oaths and pledges made until the Yom Kippur service of the following year by the participants, are declared null and void.

The Avodah (Remembering the Temple service) completes atonement according to the Rabbis.  This is a long series of public prayers (Mussaf), studies of the rituals of the High Priest, recitations of these rituals, and people lying prostrate.  The whole idea is that people are participating in the Yom Kippur Temple service, by doing these thing in remembrance of the service, as if they were actually there.  People lay prostrate at various times during the Avodah, because people did this when the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost) was being manifested at the Temple on Yom Kippur.  So, the Rabbis teach that the sins of the people are atoned for, as if they were actually there, when the High Priest performed the rituals of Yom Kippur in the Temple.

The Rabbis teach that during Vidui, all people are declared cleansed of their sins, because they made public confession of them as a group in the Ashemnu and Al Cheyt confessions.

Does the Book of Truth (The Bible) teach that fasting on Yom Kippur, and all of these other Yom Kippur traditions, really atone for sin?

In the Book of Truth (The Bible) afflicting the soul is only associated with people not eating and not engaging in sex with their spouse.  People afflict their souls when they fast (Isaiah 58:3).  When they fast, then they also refrain from engaging in sex with their spouse (1 Corinthians 7:2-5).

More than that, the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) explicitly says that the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) are to wash and anoint their bodies when they fast (Matthew 6:16-18).

The Book of Truth says nothing about not wearing leather shoes.  (The Rabbis allow shoes made of other materials to be worn.)

No one is made righteous by public acts of Tzedakah.  The Man of Truth said, that people should give to the less fortunate in secret, instead doing it publicly in order to show how righteous they are (Matthew 6:1-4).  No one is brought closer to the Father of Truth by giving to take of people in need, unless they do it out of charity (1 Corinthians 13:3).  This is the entire point of this commandment of the Law of Truth (1 Timothy 1:5-8).  The Children of Truth are to show love to other people, so other people can understand the love that the Father of Truth has for them (1 John 3:16-18).

There are no sacrifices for sins involving chickens in the Law of Truth.  It is the blood of a bull and a goat that are offered up by the High Priest in the Temple to cleanse people of sin on Yom Kippur (Leviticus 16:27-30).

There is no giving money to the poor to atone for sins in the Law of Truth.  The only money that could help atone for sin was the half-shekel contribution of each grown man to help pay for the expenses of the Yom Kippur service in the Temple (Exodus 30:12-16).

It is not praying in unison from a prayer book in a synagogue service that makes a person right with the Father of Truth.  People must turn from their wicked ways, and seek His face to walk in His ways, if they want Him to hear their prayers (2 Chronicles 7:14).  He does not hear the prayers of those, who do not do what He says is right (Proverbs 15:29).  He only hears the prayers of those, who do what He says is right (1 Peter 3:10-12).

The Man of Truth said, that people should not be standing in the synagogue to be seen by other people, when they are praying (Matthew 6:5).  They are not use vain repetitions from prayer books, like idol worshipers do (Matthew 6:7).  They are not to put on a pretense with long prayers in public meetings, while oppressing other people the rest of the time (Matthew 23:14).

The Man of Truth said, that people need to be alone with the Father of Truth when they pray (Matthew 6:6).  This is how he prayed (Matthew 14:23).

The heartfelt prayers of those, who do what the Father of Truth says is right, get answered in powerful ways (James 5:16).  Eliyahu (Elijah aka Elias) got powerful results, because he did what the Father of Truth said was right, and made heart felt prayers when he was alone with the Father of Truth (James 5:17-18).

There is no nullifying oaths and pledges for the next year on Yom Kippur in the Law of Truth.  It commands that whatever vow proceeds out of the mouth of a person, that they are to perform it (Numbers 30:1-2).  Only the vow of a woman could nullified by a man who had authority over her, like her father or husband, if they did so on the day they learned of it (Numbers 30:3-8).  However, an unmarried woman, who did not live under the roof of her father, could not have her vow nullified by anyone (Numbers 30:9).

A righteous person does forbear to do what they promised, even if their promise proves to be hurtful to them (Psalm 15:2-4).  If people make an oath to the Father of Truth, then they had better do what they promised (Ecclesiastes 5:4-6).

In like manner, the Man of Truth said to not make oaths where people swear by anything, but to simply keep their promises at all times (Matthew 5:33-37).  He said that they had better keep their promises, no matter what they swore upon, because they made an oath to the Father of Truth (Matthew 23:16-21).  A person simply needs to do what they promised, without making an oath (James 5:12).

There is no atonement for sins by rehearsing the atonement rituals in the Temple on Yom Kippur.  The High Priest must place the blood of the sin offering on Yom Kippur, for atonement to be accomplished (Exodus 30:10).  The High Priest must perform these rituals, in order for them to cleanse people of sin (Leviticus 16:30).  The life is in the blood, and blood is required for atonement (Leviticus 17:11).  There is no forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood (Hebrews 9:22).

It is not confession of sin that cleanses people from sin.  In the Law of Truth, when a person confesses of their sin, they had to make an offering to the priest, so they could be atoned from their sin (Leviticus 5:5-13).  In like manner, the sins of the nation had to be put on the head of the Azazel (goat of escape aka scapegoat) by the High Priest on Yom Kippur, after confession of these sins was made, so the nation could be cleansed of these sins (Leviticus 16:20-22).  If a person trespassed against the Father of Truth and confessed their trespass, then they had repay the person they did wrong to, plus a twenty percent penalty, as well have a ram sacrificed for their trespass (Numbers 5:6-8).

Confession of sins must be personal, complete, and absolute in order for people to be forgiven.  They must admit to both their own rebellion and the rebellion of their ancestors to the Father of Truth (Nehemiah 1:6).  They must admit the full extent of their sin to the Father of Truth to be forgiven (Psalm 32:5). 

Confession of sins of a nation (ethnic group) must be personal, complete, and absolute in order for the nation to be forgiven.  The nation must admit, that it has rebelled against the Father of Truth to receive forgiveness (1 Kings 8:33-34).  The nation must admit, that it deserves the punishment, which their sins have brought upon them, to receive forgiveness (2 Chronicles 6:24-25).  The people in the nation must admit to the rebellion of their nation, as well as their own rebellion, to obtain forgiveness (Daniel 9:20).

People must turn from their sins after confessing them to be forgiven.  They must not only confess their sins, but turn from their sins to be forgiven (1 Kings 8:35-36).  They must only only confess their sins, but be willing to return to walking in the ways of the Father of Truth to be forgiven (2 Chronicles 6:26-27).  Their confession of sins must be accompanied with separating themselves from those, who influence them to sin (Nehemiah 9:2).  Confession of sins will not bring forgiveness, unless those sins are forsaken as well (Proverbs 28:13).  Confession of sins must be accompanied with the evidence of repentance (Matthew 3:6-8).  Baptism in water only brings forgiveness of sins, if it is accompanied by repentance and confession of sins (Mark 1:4-5).

So, it is certain that fasting on Yom Kippur, and observing all of the Rabbinic traditions, do not make atonement for sin.  This is came from the Babylonian Talmud.  It is just another example of Rabbinic Distort.

So, how were people cleansed of their sin when the High Priest performed the Yom Kippur rituals in the Temple?

Kippur literally means "covering".  It comes from the same root word as the Kapporeth that covered the Ark of the Covenant.  This common root word means "to cover".  (Kippur and the root word are the same word in the original Hebrew alphabet.  This can be seen if you ignore the vowel points and cantillation marks for both words.  These did not exist in the time when the Law of Truth was given.)  So, on Yom Kippur, literally "the day of covering", the High Priest could only make a covering of sins for another year in the Temple.

The High Priest had to first make an offering for his own sins with the bull (Leviticus 16:6).   He had to enter the Holy of Holies with the blood of the bull to cover the sins of himself and his house (Leviticus 16:11-14).  Then the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies with the blood of a goat to cover the sins of the people of Israel (Leviticus 16:15).  After that, the High Priest had to cover the sins that had polluted the Temple, by the people coming into it with their sins, which they had committed after the previous Yom Kippur (Leviticus 16:16-19).  Only then was the Azazel led into the wilderness to carry the sins of Israel away from the people (Leviticus 16:20-22).  Finally, everyone involved in the covering process had to clean up the mess and themselves (Leviticus 16:24-28).

The High Priest after the order of Aaron was no more sinless than the rest of the people of Israel (Hebrews 5:1-4).  The High Priest could not even take away his own sins, so he had to bring in blood every year on Yom Kippur to cover them up as well as the sins of the people (Hebrews 9:7).

The truth is the Father of Truth never needed the blood of bulls and goats to be satisfied, but has always desired repentance to bring salvation (Psalm 50:7-15).  If the blood of bulls and goats could have removed sin, and made people perfectly righteous, then there would have not been a need to keep offering them year after year on Yom Kippur (Hebrews 10:1-4).  These sacrifices could never take away sins, but only cover them up (Hebrews 10:11).

So, the people were never completely cleanse of their sins by the High Priest performing the Yom Kippur rituals in the Temple.

So, how can people be cleansed of their sin at all, when there is no Temple and no High Priest after the order of Aaron?

These rituals could only provide a temporary covering of the sins of people each year until a better priesthood should arise, that could make people perfectly righteous (Hebrews 9:9-10).

There was another High Priest, before Aaron was born as a descendant of Abraham (Abram), named Melchizedek (Melchi-Tzedak aka Melchisedec) (Genesis 14:18-20).  The entire Levitical priesthood, where Aaron was High Priest, was in the loins of Abraham, when Melchizedek was High Priest (Hebrews 7:9-10).

The Father of Truth promised to raise up another High Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Psalm 110:2-4).  He promised this, because a High Priest after the order of Aaron from the tribe of Levi, could never make any one perfectly righteous (Hebrews 7:11).

The Man of Truth is that High Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Hebrews 5:5-10).  This High Priest after the order of Melchizedek came from the tribe of Judah (Yahudah) (Hebrews 7:13-17).  The Man of Truth was made a High Priest after the order of Melchizedek with an oath, unlike the priests after the order of Aaron (Hebrews 7:20-22).  The Man of Truth remains a High Priest after the order of Melchizedek forever, unlike the High Priests after the order of Aaron, who only served until death (Hebrews 7:23-25).  Since the Man of Truth is sinless, he did not need to offer up animals as a sacrifice for his own sins year after year, like the High Priests after the order of Aaron, but as a High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, he was able to make a one time offering to cleanse other people of their sins completely, by offering himself up as a sacrifice (Hebrews 7:26-28).

The Man of Truth as a High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, has entered into the Holy of Holies beyond the veil (Hebrews 6:19-20).  He went into the Holies of Holies of the Temple in Heaven, that the Temple on Earth was patterned after (Hebrews 8:1-5).  The High Priest after the order of Aaron, only went into the copy Temple on Earth (Hebrews 9:1-7).

The Man of Truth did not enter into the Holy of Holies in Heaven with the blood of bulls and goats, but with his own blood (Hebrews 9:11-12).  This blood was able to cleanse people of their sins completely (Hebrews 9:13-14).  The Man of Truth only had to enter the Holy of Holies in Heaven one time, because his sacrifice is able to take away the sins of people completely (Hebrews 9:24-26).  This sacrifice was able to make people perfectly righteous (Hebrews 10:12-14).

Since the Man of Truth, the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, has made atonement to make people perfectly righteous, as foreshadowed by the Yom Kippur rituals performed in the Temple, by the High Priest after the order of Aaron, then fasting on Yom Kippur as never been about atoning for sin.

So, what is fasting on Yom Kippur about?

Fasting is about mourning a disaster (2 Samuel 1:12).  It is about mourning a disaster that sinning against the Father of Truth has brought about (Nehemiah 1:3-7).  It is about mourning a disaster that is about to happen (Esther 4:3-8).

Fasting is about mourning out of sorrow for sin and repenting (Joel 2:12-13).  Fasting and mourning are useless without repentance (Zechariah 7:5-10).

Fasting is about the Children of Truth mourning, that the Man of Truth is not with them on Earth today (Matthew 9:14-15).

This fasting is about the mourning of Israel on the day, when the Father of Truth brings his judgment to completion at the end of the Tribulation (Amos 8:8-10).  It is about the mourning of Israel in repentance, when they see the Man of Truth, whom they pierced, coming to save them from certain annihilation (Zechariah 12:9-11).  It is about the nations of the Earth mourning, when the Man of Truth comes to destroy those, who seek to destroy Israel (Matthew 24:29-30).

The Father of Truth has raised the Man of Truth from the dead, so that all people can be certain that this day of judgement is coming (Acts 17:31).

The Man of Truth, the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek, is returning to complete the judgement of the Tribulation, and to complete the salvation of the Children of Truth (Hebrews 9:27-28).

The Grapes of Wrath will soon be trampled.  This world will submit to the Man of Truth in total surrender at the end of the Tribulation.  So, the Children of Truth say, "Bring it on!".

The Children of Truth eat the Breakfast of Champions on Yom Kippur, because it is the fastest way to victory!

It is only the blood of the Man of Truth, that can cleanse people of sin, and make them perfectly righteous (1 John 1:5-7).  It is only by confessing our sins to the Man of Truth, that we can be cleansed of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:8-10).

So, make the Man of Truth your king, because you believe that His Father raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9).  So come into the House of Truth, have your sins taken away, and this will be your day of atonement (1 John 3:1-5).

The Grapes Of Wrath

What are the Grapes of Wrath?

In 1939 AD, John Steinbeck published his novel about the hardships faced by Oklahoma farmers, who fled to California to escape the Dust Bowl.  When he was finished, he did not really have a suitable title.  His wife gave his novel the title of "The Grapes of Wrath".

She did not get this title from the book itself.  This phrase only appears once in the novel, in the twenty-fifth chapter.  She got this title from a line in the Battle Hymn of the Republic.  The verse that inspired her was this:

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord:
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.

 What are the grapes of wrath referenced in this song?

 The lyrics of this song were themselves inspired from Revelation, the last book in the Book of Truth (The Bible).

In the relevant passage, an Angel of Truth gathers clusters of fully ripe grapes, throws them into the winepress of the wrath of the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD), and then millions of gallons of blood comes out of the winepress (Revelation 14:17-20).

So, the grapes, that are thrown into the winepress of the the wrath of the Father of Truth, are referred to as "the grapes of wrath" in this song.  However, the question then becomes:  What are these grapes?

The best place to start is with a little explanation of wine making.  Wine is simply the blood of grapes (Genesis 49:11).   It is made from grapes being trampled and crushed in a winepress.

There is more than one winepress in the Book of Truth.  Looking at all of them should make it plain, what the grapes of wrath are.

The winepress of Jerusalem was the place, where the Father of Truth trampled the people of Judah in His wrath, the first time (Lamentations 1:12-15). When they drank the wine of His wrath, they became as senseless as men drunk on wine (Isaiah 51:17-21).

The wine of the wrath of the Father of Truth will be poured out on his enemies completely in the future (Psalm 75:8).  The wine of the wrath of the Father of Truth will not be watered down with mercy, when He makes His enemies drink it (Revelation 14:9-11).

The Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) will first crush, all by himself, so many enemies of Israel, who are gathered in the winepress of Edom in the last days, that their blood will make his clothes look like they have been stained in a winepress (Isaiah 63:1-3).  He will make them so full of terror, that they will act as senseless as men drunk on wine (Isaiah 63:4-6).

After that, the Man of Truth will come in his blood stained garment with the armies of heaven (Revelation 19:11-14).  He will come with these armies, to tread upon the rest of the enemies of the Father of Truth in the winepress of Jerusalem, to set up his kingdom on Earth (Revelation 19:15-16).  All of the fowls of the air will be called to this winepress, to feast on the flesh of his enemies (Revelation 19:17-18).

So, Jerusalem shall become the winepress of the Father of Truth for the last time, where the enemies of Israel shall drink the wine of His wrath (Isaiah 51:22-23).  He will make Jerusalem a cup of wine that brings trembling to everyone, who drinks from it (Zechariah 12:1-2).

When the Man of Truth comes to save Jerusalem, those who came against Jerusalem, will become drunk with terror (Zechariah 12:3-4).  Then the leaders in Jerusalem will be emboldened to join in the fight against their enemies (Zechariah 12:5-6).  The Man of Truth will first save the people of Judah, who live outside of Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:7).  This will embolden even the weak of them, and then the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to fight like King David, when they join the Man of Truth in destroying their enemies (Zechariah 12:8).

The Man of Truth will destroy all, who try to destroy Jerusalem (Zechariah 12:9).  The Man of Truth and his armies, will totally destroy the Man of Lies (The Antichrist aka The Beast) and his armies, in the winepress of Jerusalem, and the fowls of the air will pick their bones clean (Revelation 19:19-21).

So, the grapes of wrath are placed in the winepress of wrath to produce the wine of wrath.  The grapes of wrath are the enemies of the Father of Truth, who are trampled in the winepress of His wrath.  When they are crushed in the winepress of His wrath, then their blood flows out of them like wine from squished grapes.  Like drinking wine causes people to act senseless, the sight of their overflowing blood will cause His enemies to become drunk with fear.

So, the grapes of wrath are people, who have provoked the Father of Truth to crush them in His wrath.  So the question becomes:  What kind of people are the grapes of wrath?

When Jerusalem was the winepress of the wrath of the Father of Truth for the first time, the people of Judah were the grapes of wrath.  They were the grapes of wrath, because of their many transgressions against the Father of Truth (Lamentations 1:5).  They were the grapes of wrath, because of they were heavily involved in sexual sin (Lamentations 1:8-9).  They were the grapes of wrath, because of their bondage to sin (Lamentations 1:14).  They were the grapes of wrath, because they rebelled exceedingly against the commandments of the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) (Lamentations 1:18-20).

When Jerusalem will be the winepress of the wrath of the Father of Truth for the last time, the enemies of Judah will be the grapes of wrath.  They will be the grapes of wrath, because of their humiliating treatment of the Jews (Isaiah 51:23).  They will be the grapes of wrath, because they will surround Jerusalem to annihilate the Jewish people (Zechariah 12:2-3).  They will be the grapes of wrath, because they will worship the Man of Lies, and choose to be marked as his property (Revelation 14:9-10).  They will be the grapes of wrath, because they will be fully ripe with sin (Revelation 14:18).  They will be the grapes of wrath, because they will make war against the Man of Truth (Revelation 19:19).

So, the grapes of wrath are people, who are in opposition to the plans of the Father of Truth.  The grapes of wrath rebel against the Law of Truth.  The grapes of wrath persecute the Jewish people.  The grapes of wrath reject the Man of Truth.

The Father of Truth will give the lives of the grapes of wrath, in order to bring the Jewish people back to Himself (Isaiah 43:4-7).  After the grapes of wrath have been trampled in the winepress of Jerusalem, the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost) will be poured out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the people of Israel will mourn deeply for the wounds, that the leaders of their ancestors inflicted upon the Man of Truth, their savior (Zechariah 12:10-14).

So, the same day that the grapes of wrath will be crushed in judgment, will also be the day when the atonement of Jerusalem is completed.

This is all foretold in the sixth act of the Greatest Play Ever - the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur).  This day is also called Judgment Day.  It is both the day, when the enemies of Israel will face the judgment of the Father of Truth, and the day, when all of the people of Israel will finally accept the Messiah of Israel as their atonement for sin.  It is the day, when all of the people of Israel will finally submit to the Man of Truth in total surrender.

The grapes of wrath dread this day, but the Children of Truth say, "Bring it on!".  This is the day when the saints go marching in.

The grapes of wrath are ripening today.   The grapes of wrath are covering the Earth today.

Everyone, who does not put their trust in the Man of Truth, is part of the grapes of wrath (John 3:36).  Everyone, who rejects the truth that the Father of Truth has made known to them, is part of the grapes of wrath (Romans 1:18-19).  Everyone, who despises the goodness of the Father of Truth, which leads to repentance, is part of the grapes of wrath (Romans 2:4-6).  Everyone, who does not obey the truth, written in the Book of Truth, is part of the grapes of wrath (Romans 2:8-9).  Everyone, who obeys the Father of Lies, by disobeying the Father of Truth, is part of the grapes of wrath (Ephesians 2:2-3).  Everyone, who does those things that are contrary to the kingdom of the Father of Truth, is part of the grapes of wrath (Ephesians 5:3-6).  Everyone, who continues in sexual sin and the like, is part of the grapes of wrath (Colossians 3:5-6).  Everyone, who opposes the Children of Truth in carrying out the Great Commission, is part of the grapes of wrath (1 Thessalonians 2:14-16).

All of the grapes of wrath will be crushed in the winepress of the Chamber of Horrors. 

This being the case, then how can people escape being part of the grapes of wrath?

They escape being part of the grapes of wrath, by showing real repentance from their sins (Luke 3:7-8).  They escape being part of the grapes of wrath, by accepting the blood of the Man of Truth as their atonement for sins (Romans 5:9-11).  They escape being part of the grapes of wrath, by remaining faithful to the Man of Truth (1 Thessalonians 1:10).  They escape being part of the grapes of wrath, by remaining alert to the Spirit of Truth (1 Thessalonians 5:8-10).

The Father of Truth has been letting the grapes of wrath ripen, so that He can extend mercy to everyone, who will come into the House of Truth (Romans 9:22-24).  The grapes of wrath will not go into the winepress of His wrath, until they are fully ripe, so that all people can be given the opportunity to come into the House of Truth (2 Peter 3:7-9).

You escape being part of the grapes of wrath, by making the Man of Truth your king, because you believe that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9).

The Fastest Way To Victory!

What is the fastest way to victory?

There is no shortage of plans that are supposed to help people achieve success.  Many of these plans advertise how people can get rich by creating a successful business - often using other people's money.  Often the advice of these books is like a legal case that I read about once.

During the Great Depression, a man took out a classified advertisement in the New York Times that said something like this, "Want to learn how to become a millionaire?  Send $1 in a S.A.S.E to this address....".  Hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers answered the ad.  True to the ad, each received a piece of paper back in their envelope with the plan to become a millionaire.  The plan was one sentence long and said, "Get 1 million people to send you a dollar.".

The man was eventually dragged into court by unhappy customers.  However, the judge ruled that he had not scammed anyone, since anyone who carried out his plan really would become a millionaire.  The man retired a millionaire and everyone who bought his self-help plan ended up one dollar poorer.

Of course, not everyone measures success in terms of money.  I got off the hamster wheel of pursuing bigger, better, newer things a long time ago.

One of the things that I measure success by is the times that the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) has shown Himself strong on my behalf.

For example, my youngest daughter Savannah, has six conditions that according to medical science are incurable and 100% fatal.  Families with just one of theses conditions, Cystic Fibrosis, have a 98% divorce rate and a 98% bankruptcy rate.  On top of that, I spent four of the last eight years unemployed.

Yet despite the Obama years being hard on my wallet, we did not go bankrupt and we did not get divorced.  We did not lose our house, but we did manage to get a new roof and our foundation repaired.  We also still managed to finish sending my older daughter Miranda to a private university, so she could carry out His plan for her life.  When I called out to the Father of Truth, He answered!

This sort of thing was nothing new for us. It has been going on for a long time.  For example, the Father of Truth has shown Himself strong on behalf of Savannah numerous times over the last twenty-three years.

Savannah had been born deaf, although I am not sure if she was totally deaf, or just mostly deaf.  It seemed that Savannah could hear my voice, but no other voice or sound.  Perhaps she was only responding to my presence, instead of my voice.

My wife was greatly distressed by this.  One day, she told me to do something about it for what seemed like the one hundredth time.  I was tired of hearing about this from my wife, so I went over to Savannah, laid my hands on her, and commanded her to hear.  She instantly started hearing sounds other than my voice and I finally got some peace from wife about this.

When Savannah was two years old, my wife handed me the phone to talk to a doctor at a research hospital in California.  The doctor on the other end explained that one of the conditions that my daughter had diagnosed with a week earlier, usually killed those who had it before they were six months old.  The doctor wanted to know why Savannah was still alive.

I told the doctor that Savannah was still alive, because I had followed the leading of the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost).  I  told the doctor that I had been led to make a concoction of coffee, chocolate ice cream, bananas, peanut butter, raw eggs, milk, and cayenne pepper.  This was then liquefied in a blender.  She had pretty much lived on this concoction, since she was a few months old.

The doctor proceeded to tell me that I should not be giving a baby things like chocolate and cayenne pepper.  I reminded the doctor that she had asked me what I had done.  She may have been skeptical of even the existence of the Spirit of Truth, but she could not deny the results.  She was the one who told me that my daughter was alive when she should have been dead.

When Savannah was seven, I was given the whole "your daughter is not going to make it, plan the funeral" speech by her main doctor in the hospital.  At that same time, I had an opportunity at work to take out a million dollar life insurance policy on every member of my family.  This may have seemed like a no-brainer to most people.  According to the doctor my daughter was doomed to die within days, and for less than a hundred dollar investment I could collect one million dollars when she died. 

The only problem was, that I was not cooperating. 

I refused to buy the insurance.  Instead, I was betting against all odds that the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) would cause my daughter to recover.  I told her doctor that she would live and not die, so she could fulfill the purpose that the Father of Truth had made her for.  Her doctor was one of the Children of Truth himself, but he still asked me if I understood the seriousness of the situation.  I told him that I did, but I also understood what a great savior that the Man of Truth was.

Then what medical science said was impossible to happen, happened.  My daughter got better and came home.  She has never had another period of time where she was either in the hospital or home on IVs for almost a year, since that time.  The Man of Truth had stood between her and death.

Three years later, one Friday night, my wife and I both felt like we were supposed to go to this small Messianic congregation on the other side of the metroplex.  We had only been there once before and did not really know anyone.  We were quite content with the congregation that we were attending.  Nonetheless, we got in car and made the half hour drive, arriving just in time for their Shabbat evening service.

A young man was speaking there instead of the Rabbi.  He said some very interesting things that I mentally filed away to investigate later.  Still, we did not know why we were there.

After he was done speaking, a woman, whom I never met before in my life starting telling me a bunch of things that had happened to me in the past, and then some things that would happen to me in the future.  She was absolutely right about every single past event.  So far, many of the future events have come to pass as well.

When she was done telling me these things, she paused and then looked right at me to be sure she had my full attention.  Then she said the strangest thing to me.  She said, "And you will soon know that God loves you.".

I had no idea what she meant by that.  I already knew that the Father of Truth loved me.  He had given His son to die for my sins.  He had shown Himself strong on my behalf so many times.  Still, I could not dismiss her words.  They stuck with me for days.

Later, I asked the young man who had been speaking about the woman.  He told me that she just shows up once in a while in the congregation.  He then explained that when she does, she always does something like that.  He finished by telling me that something always happens to confirm that her message was from the Spirit of Truth.

My wife and I knew that this woman was the reason that the Spirit of Truth had led us to go to a strange congregation at a irregular time.

About a month later, I learned why all of this had happened.

My daughter was in the hospital again and was supposed to get out on Christmas Eve.  I had seen her the night before, just like I have done every day that she has been in the hospital.  She had been doing much better and was ready to come home the next day.  We were all looking forward to our time together when all of our kids would be out of school for Christmas break.

I had taken the week off between Christmas and New Year's Day.  I was busy wrapping up my work, so there nothing left incomplete while I was on vacation.  Early in the morning, I got a frantic call from a friend of our family telling me something about Savannah and Julie.  I really could not understand what she was saying, except that Savannah was in ICU and I needed come quickly.

The night before when I was praying, I heard the Spirit of Truth tell me that everything was going to be alright.  The more she talked, the stronger the Spirit of Truth witnessed to me that everything was going to be alright.  So I told her that I had finish up a couple of things, and then I would be there as soon as I could.  Then I finished wrapping up my work.

When I got to the hospital I went to the floor where Savannah had been staying, and then went to the pediatrics ICU.  When I asked to see her, they told me that Savannah not was in the ICU.  I went to her room and no one was there, including my daughter Miranda who had spent the night with her sister.  So I finally went to the nurse's station to find out what was going on.

The nurse told me that Savannah had been transported to a specialty ICU of another hospital, because Savannah had went into a coma.  Julie and Miranda had went with Savannah.  So I went to the room and got the rest of their things from the room.  After I loaded up the car, I drove to the other hospital to see exactly what was going on.

When I got there, I learned that Savannah was in a coma and had been put on dialysis.   I met up with my wife and told her not to worry, because the Spirit of Truth had said that everything was going to be alright.  I then asked her, if she needed anything.  She told me what she needed from the car and what she needed from home.  So I brought up a few items to her, then headed home to get the other things that she needed.

When I got home my son was still not home from work.  So I unloaded the things that they did not need from car, and then loaded it again with the things that my wife had requested.  There was still a couple of hours until my son came home.

So I prayed in the Spirit of Truth producing the sound of power, while I waited for him to get home.  While I was praying, I got very specific instructions about what to do when I got back to the hospital.

When Danny Ray came home from work, I told him what was going on.  I also told him that the Spirit of Truth had been telling me, since before Savannah had ever slipped into the coma, that everything was going to be alright.

After we arrived at the hospital, I waited for my turn to be in the room with Savannah.  My wife greeted visitors outside of the room to give me a few minutes alone with Savannah.  It was now time to carry out the instructions that the Spirit of Truth gave me.

I took my right hand, opened it like the Vulcan peace sign, placed it in the center of the chest of Savannah, and said one word, "Chaim".  Then I left the room.

By this time our pastor, Brett, was up there.  Brett has a big heart and feels things deeply.  He had been informed that Savannah was in this coma and not expected to live.  He was trying his best to keep it together, but was not really succeeding.  So I went over and told him that the Spirit of Truth had told me that everything was going to be alright.

The weeping pastor was being comforted by the father of the child in the coma.  It was a strange scene.

Then I saw her main doctor.  After he told me the situation, I told him that the Spirit of Truth had said that everything was going to be alright.  He did not even try to give me the whole "your daughter is not going to make it, plan the funeral" speech this time.

Later, I saw the neurologist who was assigned to Savannah. 

He patiently explained that one of her medications had shut down her kidneys, and this was allowing the other medication to go unfiltered into her brain.  This was causing her brain to swell uncontrollably.  He explained how long it would take the all of the blood in her body to go through the dialysis machine, and how many times it would take to filter out the medicine, that was causing her brain to swell, down to a safe level.  He told me that this would take days, during which time her brain would keep swelling more and more.  He finally explained, that not even shunting her brain would save her.  Then he gave me the whole "your daughter is not going to make it, plan the funeral" speech.

I told him, that the Spirit of Truth had told me that everything was going to be alright.

The neurologist became red in the face with anger. 

He told me about his years of experience, and that he knew what he was talking about.  He said these exact words to me, "It is impossible for your daughter not to die.".

I really did not expect one of her doctors to act like this.  I would have thought that the doctor would be happy to learn that he was not going to lose his patient.  Apparently, that was not his highest priority.

So I told him again, that the Spirit of Truth had told me that everything was going to be alright.  Then we parted company.

Over the next nine days, there was a constant stream of people who came to comfort Julie in the hospital.  Many of them thought that I was cold and unfeeling, because I was totally unconcerned about the condition of my daughter.  The truth is, it would have been a lie for me to act like I was worried about anything.  The Spirit of Truth was witnessing to my spirit that everything was going to be alright.  I literally had inside information that they were lacking.

During that time, our pastor gave me a check for about $3,500 that people in our church had given him to help us out.  Then some Jewish people from New York City, who were total strangers, heard about what was going on somehow, and also sent us checks, that totaled to about the same amount of money.

I really did not know why people kept giving us money.  I did not need it at the time.  It turned out, that the Father of Truth was taking care of needs that we would soon have, before the needs ever occurred. Once again, the Spirit of Truth was letting me know that everything was going to be alright.

(I realize now, that people were giving me money, so Savannah could have a proper burial.  They knew that I had lived on the brink of bankruptcy, so I could take care of her and her siblings.  However, the thought that I would need money to bury her had never crossed my mind.  The Spirit of Truth never stopped witnessing to me that everything was going to be alright.)

Then after ten days of Savannah being as good as dead, she did the impossible and came out of her coma.  Many of those involved were in total shock, including my pastor.

However, my family and her main doctor were not in shock.  This was not their first rodeo. 

Savannah had been beyond the ability of medical science to save before, but her father had heard from the Spirit of Truth.  They had seen this movie before and knew how it ended.

However, the news just kept getting better and better.

She had been given this combination of medications, because she had contacted a serious bacteria that was killing her.  This strain of bacteria had shown itself to be immune to almost all medications.  This combination of medications was the last resort effort to keep the bacteria from killing her.   These medications that were going around unfiltered through her body for those ten days killed off that bacteria completely.  In fact, they burned out every single bacteria and disease that was in her body.

Now the word, "Chaim" that the Spirit of Truth had told me to speak over her when I laid hands on her began to come to pass.  The Hebrew word "Chaim" does not mean "life", as it is often mistranslated.  It literally means "lives".

Soon after that, Savannah took up golf, and was finally able to have a sports life like she had always wanted.  She was able to go to school on a consistent basis for the first time in her life, so she got a school life.  She became part of a group of girls at our church and got a social life for the first time in her life.  She took up drawing and things like that, which make up an art life.  In every area, Savannah became alive where she had been dead.  She had been given lives.

The Father of Truth had not just given her health so she could have lives, but I had been given the money in advance to make it possible for her to do many of these things.

Suddenly, it all made sense.  I had been told to lay hands on her, because that is what the Book of Truth (the Bible) says to do.  The Vulcan peace sign is really how a Rabbi spreads his hands, when he blesses the congregation, when a synagogue service ends with the blessing that Aaron was told by the Father of Truth to bless the congregation with.  The right hand is the hand of blessing in the Book of Truth.  So I was putting the symbol of blessing on Savannah when I obeyed the instructions and put my right hand in the shape of the Vulcan peace sign on her chest.  Then I spoke lives into her when I finished carry out the instructions by saying that one word, "Chaim".

I finally understood what that woman had meant when she said that I would soon know that the Father of Truth loves me.

In that particular ICU, where they send the most desperate cases in Oklahoma about one out of three of them died.  During those ten days, several children who were not in near as bad a condition as Savannah died.  Shortly after that the FDA banned this combination of medications, because they did not play nice together.  Her doctor researched the matter and found that Savannah was the only person who ever lived once the kidneys shut down.

When I learned this I finally broke down and cried.  I was overwhelmed with the knowledge of how much the Father of Truth loved me.

I am sure that most of those people who had lost their child had prayed that the Father of Truth would save their child, but their child died anyways.  I have no other explanation of why the Father of Truth did this for me other than to cause me to know how much He loves me.

As the Spirit of Truth had said to me everything was alright.  The Man of Truth had once again stood between Savannah and death.  The Father of Truth had again showed Himself strong on my behalf.

After Savannah came home, the Spirit of Truth instructed me to take seven rocks out my yard, use them to build a pillar in my front yard, and anoint the pillar with olive oil as a memorial of what the Father of Truth had done for me.  Even though I was hindered terribly, I overcame those hindrances and did as I was instructed.  That pillar became a symbol of the love that the Father of Truth has shown me.  That is why it is part of the logo for this blog, and why it is my photo on Facebook.

The Father of Truth did not stop there, but has shown Himself strong on my behalf many times since then.  We do not just believe in miracles in our house - we count on them.

Her health took another turn for the worst a few years ago and Savannah felt like giving up.  Then the Father of Truth gave her a dream one night that revealed the purpose that she was made to fulfill.  She has been working to fulfill that purpose against all odds.  

Savannah is now in college.  She is about to complete her degree in Japanese, which is the first step towards getting a master's degree in international business.

The Father of Truth has always had a great purpose for Savannah.  The Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) has always tried to keep her from fulfilling that purpose.  This war between them over her has been going on for twenty-three years now.

This war is but one battle in a bigger war that has been going on since the time of Adam.  The Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) have a part to play in this bigger war.  The Father of Truth works through them in this Earth.  Their victory is certain if they learn how to fight in the way that the Father of Truth desires, so He can show Himself strong on their behalf.

One of the main reasons that the Father of Truth keeps showing Himself strong on my behalf, is because I have learned the fastest way to victory.

There has never been a time in my life when I did not have extraordinary trouble compared to my peers.  I learned at a very young age that there are only three phases to my life.  One is where I am in a fight.  The second is where I am recovering from a fight.  The third is where I need to be preparing for a fight.

So after I came into the House of Truth I began learning the fastest way to victory.  I learned that the fastest way to victory is to frequently eat the breakfast of champions.

So for about a five year period I kept being led by the Spirit of Truth to fast.  This was a period when I was rarely engaged in a fight.  Yet, I ended up fasting basically every other day.

Julie would get so aggravated at me. 

She wanted to know why I was fasting all of the time, when there was nothing going on where I needed the Father of Truth to show Himself strong on my behalf.  All I could tell her was that I was being led to do this because I was preparing for a big fight.

Of course when Savannah was born, it became apparent what that big fight was.

When it comes to fasting, most of the Children of Truth tend to only think of it as something that you do in a crisis when you are desperate and you have no other option.  This is how my wife used to think of fasting, so she could not understand why the Spirit of Truth would lead me to fast when there was no crisis.

Most of the Children of Truth think that fasting is only for when they are in a crisis. 

They only fast when they face an overwhelming threat, and their only chance of victory is the Father of Truth showing Himself strong on their behalf (2 Chronicles 20:1-18).  They only fast when they need the Father of Truth to give them wisdom to deal with a crisis (Ezra 8:21-23).  They only fast when they learn of an impending crisis (Esther 4:1-3).  They only fast when they need the Father of Truth to show Himself strong on their behalf by giving them favor with those in authority, so they can divert a crisis (Esther 4:7-17).  They only fast when they are crying out to the Father of Truth to deliver them from a crisis (Esther 9:31).  They only fast when they can see that they are in a crisis (Joel 1:13-15).

However, fasting will not bring deliverance from a crisis without repentance. 

The Father of Truth will only show Himself strong on behalf of people when they fast, if they also repent of their sins (Isaiah 58).  The Father of Truth will certainly not hold back judgment, if they fast without any true repentance (Jeremiah 14:10-12).  Fasting will not divert disaster, if the Word of Truth is rejected (Jeremiah 36).  Fasting must be an outward sign of a genuine change of heart to bring about deliverance by the Father of Truth (Joel 2:12-14).  The Father of Truth will show Himself strong, when people give fasting the highest priority to show that they have returned to making Him their highest priority (Joel 2:15-18).  The Father of Truth is looking for people to fast to show genuine repentance, so He can divert judgment for their sins (Jonah 3:4-10).

So people are particularly inclined to fast when trouble comes upon them for their own sins. 

The Father of Truth sometimes shows Himself strong on behalf of people to deliver them from the results of their sins, when they fast to show that they have repented of those sins (1 Samuel 7:3-10).  However there is no guarantee that fasting will cause the Father of Truth to show Himself strong on their behalf, when they repent of their sins (2 Samuel 12:13-23).  Sometimes the best that fasting in repentance will do, is delay the judgment that comes from their sins (1 Kings 21:20-29).

Most of the Children of Truth also think that fasting is a sign of mourning over the results of a crisis. 

They fast when someone has died in a crisis (2 Samuel 1:12).  They fast when they learn of the disaster that came from the crisis, which their owns sins brought about (Nehemiah 1:1-7).  They fast in repentance to bring restoration, after the judgment of sin has happened (Daniel 9:2-20).

So in short, most of the Children of Truth only think of fasting as a crisis management tool or a disaster recovery plan.

Fasting was never meant to be a substitute for obedience to the Father of Truth. 

The Father of Truth is only certain to show Himself strong when fasting is done to deliver those who have done no wrong (Daniel 6:18-22).  The Father of Truth is more inclined to hear people and grant their requests when they hear Him and obey His commandments, than when they fast (Zechariah 7:4-14).  Living a life of obedience to the Father of Truth will do more to bring people into the House of Truth than fasting (Zechariah 8:16-23).

Fasting is meant to be part of a lifestyle of obedience that draws the Children of Truth closer to the Father of Truth. 

The Man of Truth did not fast to make up for any kind of disobedience, but rather to be obedient to the Spirit of Truth, so he could overcome every temptation of the Father of Lies to disobey the Father of Truth (Matthew 4:1-11).  When the Children of Truth humble themselves in obedience to Him, then He gives them grace to overcome their circumstances (James 4:6).  When they are obedient to the Father of Truth, then the Father of Lies flees from them when they rise up to resist him (James 4:7).  When they fast to become closer to the Father of Truth, then He moves to become closer to them when they are obedient to Him (James 4:8).  When they humble themselves by afflicting their souls with fasting, then the Father of Truth shows Himself strong on their behalf (James 4:9-10). 

That is why fasting as part of a lifestyle of obedience, is the fastest way to victory!

Fasting is something that the Children of Truth are to supposed to do, so they can draw closer to the Father of Truth.  

Moses received the instructions of the Father of Truth when he fasted (Deuteronomy 9:9-11).  Moses fasted to intercede for the Father of Truth to show mercy to others (Deuteronomy 9:18-20).  Anna, the Prophetess of Truth, served the Father of Truth constantly with fasting, so she could give witness that the Man of Truth was the Messiah of Israel (Luke 2:36-38).  Cornelius fasted, so that he could clearly hear the instructions of the Father of Truth (Acts 10:30-33).  The Apostles of Truth fasted, so they could know who put in charge of every congregation that they started, so the congregations would keep walking in obedience to the Father of Truth (Acts 14:21-23).  Fasting was was part of the lifestyle of the Apostles of Truth, so that people could see that they were ministers of the Father of Truth (2 Corinthians 6:3-5).

The Children of Truth are supposed to fast so they can hear the Spirit of Truth more clearly.

The Spirit of Truth was so strong upon Moses that his face shined, after he had spent time fasting before the Father of Truth (Exodus 34:28-30).  Elijah fasted to escape to be hidden in the secret place of the Father of Truth, where he could clearly hear the Spirit of Truth (1 Kings 19:7-9).  Peter the Jew (Sh'mon aka Simon aka Simeon aka Cephas aka The Apostle Peter) was instructed by the Spirit of Truth to tell Cornelius the Good News, when he fasted (Acts 10:9-20).  The Prophets of Truth and the Teachers of Truth ministered to the Father of Truth with fasting, so they could clearly hear the instructions of the Spirit of Truth about who to send out as Apostles of Truth to tell others about the Man of Truth (Acts 13:1-4).

The Children of Truth also gain a stronger bond with the Man of Truth when they fast. 

When they fast they identify with the fast that the Man of Truth experienced, while suffering on the cross (Psalm 69:7-10).  When they fast they are looking to the Father of Truth for deliverance, just as the Man of Truth did on the cross (Psalm 109:24-27).  They suffer the hunger comes from a loss of food in order to gain a closer relationship with the Man of Truth by suffering with him, because nothing binds men together like suffering together for a common cause (Philippians 3:7-10).

So fasting causes the Children of Truth to draw closer to the Father of Truth, more clearly hear the Spirit of Truth, and to become more like the Man of Truth.  This is why the Children of Truth should be fasting. 

Fasting as part of a lifestyle of obedience is the fastest way to victory!

This is why the Man of Truth said, that the Children of Truth were to fast, after he left this Earth. 

The Children of Truth are to fast, because they are mourning that he is not with them on this Earth (Matthew 9:14-15).  They are to fast until they are with him again (Mark 2:18-20).  They are to fast often until he returns to this Earth (Luke 5:33-35).

The Man of Truth told us why fasting as part of a lifestyle of obedience, is the fastest way to victory. 

He said that the Children of Truth are to fast to drive unbelief out of their lives - and that gives them the victory (Matthew 17:20-21)!  When the Children of Truth struggle with unbelief, then fasting helps to bring an end to the unbelief, so they can have victory over every enemy (Mark 9:24-29).

So fasting was not the fastest way to victory, because it moved the Father of Truth to be more on my side, but because it moved me to be more on His side! 

The Father of Truth shows Himself strong on behalf of those who live a lifestyle of obedience, when they cry out to Him with fasting (Psalm 145:17-19).

The fact is, that not only do most of the Children of Truth not know that the primary purpose of fasting is to draw them closer to the Father of Truth, but they do not even know how to fast.

Fasting is not just abstaining from eating food.  That is just a bad diet plan. 

Fasting is afflicting your soul by abstaining from things that bring pleasure to your soul, in order to spend more time with the Father of Truth (Isaiah 58:3).

Fasting does mean abstaining from food, even though that is not all there is to fasting. 

Fasting does not normally include abstaining from water for people will die without water in about four days, but some of the Children of Truth fasted for seven days in mourning (1 Chronicles 10:11-13).  Whenever people have gone a while without food, then they are fasting (Matthew 15:32).  Fasting continues until the fast is broken by eating food (Acts 27:33).

Fasting also means abstaining from sex.

 Men are not to approach their wives for sex when they are going to draw near to the Father of Truth (Exodus 19:15-17).  For this reason, a man can make void a vow that his wife has made to fast unto the Father of Truth on the day that he learns of it (Numbers 30:12-14).  For this reason, married couples are to only fast for a limited amount of time by mutual consent, and must resume having sex as soon as practical after the fast is over (1 Corinthians 7:3-5).

This was undoubtedly part of the frustration that my wife felt.  I knew that I was being led to fast often to prepare for a big fight, but that was not the only reason that I fasted often.  I had found that spending time with the Spirit of Truth was better than sex.  I was totally addicted to fasting and I hurt my wife without realizing it, by fasting all of the time.

So it is important that couples are honest with each other and tell their spouse to end their fast, because they need sex.  The fast has to end when this occurs unless they had agreed for it to go longer ahead of time.

Fasting is not to bring pleasure to the Children of Truth by doing things to draw attention to their fasting, so others will admire how devoted that they are. 

The Children of Truth are to take baths and wear clean clothes, when they are going to draw near to the Father of Truth (Exodus 19:14-17).  They are not to go around with a dirty face and looking sad, so that everyone knows, that they are fasting (Matthew 6:16).  They are to hide that they are fasting by keeping their hair and face clean, because the Father of Truth will reward them in ways that everyone can see for doing so (Matthew 6:17-18).

Fasting is about doing something else, instead of things that bring pleasure to their souls. 

Fasting is about making time, to spend confessing your sins to the Father of Truth, reading the Word of Truth, and worshiping the Father of Truth (Nehemiah 9:1-3).  Fasting is making time to seek after the Father of Truth to heal the sick (Psalm 35:13).  Fasting means taking time to hear from the Spirit of Truth (Acts 13:2).  Fasting is spending time in prayer, instead of the things that bring pleasure to your soul, so you can hand your problems over to the Father of Truth (Acts 14:23).

Since most of the Children of Truth have not been taught why they need to fast, and how to fast, they also do not know when to fast. 

Is it really necessary for all of the Children of Truth to fast every other day?

The fact is, that some people do fast frequently in their efforts to draw closer to the Father of Truth, because fasting as part of a lifestyle of obedience is the fastest way to victory! 

The Pharisees and the disciples of John the Baptist (Yochanon the Mikveh Man), many of whom came into the House of Truth, fasted often (Matthew 9:14).  Many of them like Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul aka The Apostle Paul), continued to fast often after they came into the House of Truth (2 Corinthians 11:27).

How often did Paul the Jew, and other Jews, who came into the House of Truth fast as they continued in the discipline that they had grown up with?

They had seven yearly fasts. 

All of the firstborn males fasted on the day before Passover (Pesach), the fourteenth day of the first month, because the firstborn males were the ones who were passed over when the Father of Truth destroyed all of the firstborn males of Egypt (Exodus 12:21-29).  They fasted on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), the tenth day of the seventh month, because it was commanded in the Law of Truth (Leviticus 16:29-31).  They fasted on the thirteenth day of the twelfth month to commemorate the fast of Esther, that saved the Jewish people from extermination (Esther 4:16).  They fasted on the ninth day of the fifth month to mourn over the destruction of the Temple, and they fasted on the third day of the seventh month to mourn over the murder of Gedaliah, which led to them being completely exiled from the Promised Land (Zechariah 7:5).  They fasted on the seventh day of the fourth month to mourn for the breaching of the walls Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar, and they fasted on the tenth day of the tenth month to mourn for the destruction of Jerusalem (Zechariah 8:19).

On top of that, they fasted twice every week, on Mondays and Thursdays, because those days were two days after the weekly Sabbath (Saturday) and two days before the weekly Sabbath (Luke 18:12).

This means that they fasted over one hundred days per year!  This would average out to be about every third day.  So not even observant Jews, like Paul the Jew, fasted every other day after they came into the House of Truth!

So how often should people fast?

As often as they are led by the Spirit of Truth to fast, which will never contradict the commandment, to do so by mutual agreement with their spouse. 

If they cannot agree on this, then the husband could fast during times when they are to abstain from sex anyways, like between when the wife starts her monthly purification until a week after it is over (Leviticus 15:24-28).

Perhaps the only Children of Truth, who are going to be led by the Spirit of Truth to fast extraordinarily often, are those who like Paul the Jew who faced extraordinary trouble (2 Corinthians 11:23-27).  They are the ones who need the Father of Truth to show Himself strong on their behalf more often.

So what about everyone else?

When it comes to fasting like everything else, you have to start somewhere.  For many people starting anything new, particularly if it is difficult for them, is easier to do if they do it at the same time as everyone else.

Fortunately, there is a day when all of the Children of Truth should be fasting.  While there were over one hundred days per year when some of the Children of Truth, like Paul the Jew fasted, there is only day a year when all of the Children of Truth should be fasting.

The fast on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), on the tenth day of the seventh month on the calendar of the Father of Truth, is the only fast, that all of the Children of Truth are commanded to perform (Leviticus 23:26-28).  Every single one of the Children of Truth are commanded to fast on this day (Leviticus 23:29-31).  This fast is to start near sunset of the ninth day of the month and continues until near sunset the next day (Leviticus 23:32).  The Children of Truth are congregate together during this Fast, so that no one has to try to fast alone (Numbers 29:7).  That is why Paul the Jew called it, "The Fast" (Acts 27:9).

So the best place to start learning the fastest way to victory is with a congregation of the Children of Truth, who are walking in obedience to the commandment of the Father of Truth to fast together on the Day of Atonement.  This fast has everything to do with the Man of Truth, for it is the sixth act of the Greatest Play Ever that tells about when the Man of Truth will bring this world into total surrender to the Father of Truth.  When the Children of Truth fast during this fast, they are not only sharing in the sufferings of the Man of Truth, but they are expressing faith that they will also share in his reign over the Earth (2 Timothy 2:12)!

Fasting on the Day of Atonement, or any other day, is of very limited value unless it is accompanied by a lifestyle of obedience. 

No one can be baptized in the Spirit of Truth, unless they first come into the House of Truth, so they can live a lifestyle of obedience (Acts 2:37-39).  No one can have a lifestyle of obedience, until they come into the House of Truth by surrendering to the Man of Truth, because he is the one who the Father of Truth told Moses that everyone must obey (Acts 3:19-23).  No one can come into the House of Truth to learn how to live a lifestyle of obedience, unless they accept the Word of Truth concerning the Man of Truth (Acts 4:10-12).  The Man of Truth is the only mean, that the Father of Truth has provided for people to come into the House of Truth, so they can learn a lifestyle of obedience with the help of the Spirit of Truth (Acts 5:30-32). 

A lifestyle of obedience begins with coming into the House of Truth, by making a commitment to obey the Man of Truth, because you believe that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9).

Breakfast of Champions

What can you eat to be closer to the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) and operate more easily in supernatural power?

When I was a kid one of the greatest honors that an athlete could achieve was to have their image placed on the front panel of an orange Wheaties box.  Usually it was not just their face on the front panel but some sort of picture of them in an action pose that was appropriate for their sport.  One that is particularly memorable was Bruce Jenner throwing a javelin.

Towards the top of the front panel was the word "WHEATIES" in huge white letters.  Just below the right half of the word "WHEATIES" was the phrase "WHOLE WHEAT FLAKES" in smaller black letters.  Right below that in smaller italicized black letters was the phrase "Breakfast of Champions" in double quotes.

General Mills would have liked for the public to have believed, that becoming a champion athlete like Bruce Jenner, Mohammed Ali, or Mary Lou Retton, all started with eating Wheaties for breakfast everyday.  While diet is an important part to becoming a champion athlete, the truth is that people can become one without eating Wheaties for breakfast every day. 

Of course it is also true that these champions had to have been given the raw talent for their particular sport by the Father of Truth in the first place, or it did not matter what they ate for breakfast.  They then had to be disciplined in every area of life to develop those gifts that they were given, or it did not matter what they ate for breakfast.  No one could be come a champion athlete without these two things, by simply eating Wheaties for breakfast every day.

However, when it comes to being a champion for the Father of Truth, then there really is a breakfast of champions.  This breakfast really does help the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) grow into champions in His Kingdom.

I learned about this breakfast of champions from the Spirit of Truth (Ruach HaQodesh aka The Holy Spirit aka The Holy Ghost) not long after I was baptized in the Spirit of Truth.  I really wanted to be more like the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ).  I really wanted to know the Father of Truth better.  I really wanted to be able to hear the Spirit of Truth more clearly.  I really wanted to win the fight against my own flesh so I could do the will of the Father of Truth instead of my own will.  So I asked how I could do all of these things.  The Spirit of Truth told me if I really wanted to become one His champions then I should start fasting.  Fasting is the breakfast of champions.

I was not even sure what fasting really was except not eating food.  The Spirit of Truth brought several scriptures to my mind to show me.  Fasting is seeking after the Father of Truth by doing things like praying, reading the Book of Truth and singing praises to Him instead of eating (Nehemiah 9:1-6).  Fasting is serving the Father of Truth by spending time in prayer instead of eating (Luke 2:37).  Fasting is not the same as just going around hungry (2 Corinthians 11:27). 

I remember the first time I decided to fast for a day.  I was pretty much a food addict and about two hours into that first fast I thought I was going to die.  Several times I found a cookie in my hands that I had grabbed without thinking.   Each time I refrained from eating it and put it back where it belonged.  With the help of the Spirit of Truth I never gave into hunger until the twenty-four hours were over but when it was I grabbed the first food I could find and shoved it in my mouth.  You would have thought that I had not eaten in days from the way I acted.

Of course, it was absurd because I was in no actual danger of dying.  A person in average health can go about sixty days without food before they will die.  It is only the mind and emotions of a person that has such a struggle with not eating for a single day.  That is why the Book of Truth (The Bible) refers to fasting as "afflicting your soul" (Isaiah 58:3).

Where did this breakfast of champions come from?

This breakfast of champions is first explained in the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law).   This breakfast of champions is to be eaten every year on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur aka The Fast aka Judgment Day) so that the soul is afflicted by fasting while the High Priest makes atonement for the Children of Truth (Leviticus 16:29-34).  The Day of Atonement is not just a day for abstaining from food but for congregating together like the weekly Sabbath (Leviticus 23:27-32).  The Day of Atonement is a day of additional sacrifices for the atonement of sins while everyone is fasting (Numbers 29:7-11).

Today it is not even possible to keep the Day of Atonement in this manner because without the Temple standing in Jerusalem at best we are Playing With Broken Toys.  The fact is that we do not need to fast on the Day of Atonement for our sins to be atoned for because the Man of Truth has presented his own blood in the Temple in Heaven to atone for our sins (Hebrews 9:11-14).  The truth is that the blood of bulls and goats that were offered on the Day of Atonement were never sufficient to atone for sin but were just a foreshadowing of the only blood that was (Hebrews 10:1-4).

So does this mean that fasting on the Day of Atonement has been done away with?

Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul aka The Apostle Paul) never taught the Jewish Children of Truth to abandon any of the Feasts of Truth when he preached to the Gentiles for many years (Acts 21:19-21).  He was still living his life in line with the Law of Truth while preaching to the Gentiles for many years outside of the Promised Land (Acts 21:22-24).  In fact, he was still observing the Day of Atonement (The Fast) when he was in chains on the island of Crete on his way to appeal to Caesar in Rome (Acts 27:7-10).

So the Children of Truth can certainly observe the Day of Atonement to some measure.  They can still treat the Day of Atonement as a Sabbath and do the same kind of things so that they do not end up Bored On The Sabbath.   They can still fast on the Day of Atonement.

The Apostles of Truth also said that they never taught that the Gentile Children of Truth needed to keep the Law of Truth in order to come into the House of Truth (Acts 15:23-27).  They taught that the Gentile Children of Truth were under no obligation to keep these feasts (Acts 21:25-26).

It should be obvious that fasting on the Day of Atonement is not one of The Weightier Matters of The Law.  In fact, it should be understood to be one of The Lessor Matters of The Law.  The entire point of the Law of Truth is to bring us to the Man of Truth so we can become the Children of Truth (Galatians 3:24-26). 

So the Children of Truth should not judge each other as doing something wrong if some of them observe the Day of Atonement by fasting while others do not do so because what really matters is knowing the Man of Truth (Colossians 2:16-17).

So should the Children of Truth fast today?

The Man of Truth gave instructions on how the Children of Truth were to fast (Matthew 6:16-18).  He said that they should start fasting after he left this Earth (Matthew 9:15).

There is no better example of this than Paul the Jew who was the greatest champion for the Father of Truth who ever lived during the entire time from when the Man of Truth left this Earth until he returns.

The Pharisees fasted often (Matthew 9:14).  The Pharisees had regularly fasted twice every week  (Luke 18:11-12).  (They did this on Monday and Thursday because those days were both two days away from the Sabbath (Saturday).)  Paul the Jew had been trained as a young man by the greatest Rabbi of the Pharisees of his day - Gamaliel (Acts 22:3).

Paul the Jew continued to identify himself as a Pharisee more than twenty years after he encountered the Man of Truth on the road to Damascus (Acts 23:6).  He continued this discipline of fasting often during his many trials that he encountered while preaching the Good News  (2 Corinthians 11:25-27).

Paul the Jew continued to eat the breakfast of champions far more often than just on the Day of Atonement (The Fast) every year.  In fact, he would have fasted more than 100 days each year by continuing in fasting regularly as the Pharisees did.  He almost certainly fasted more than any of the other Apostles of Truth.

This is part of the reason that in 57 AD Paul the Jew was able to start a church on the island of Rhodes in under eight hours that is still operating today (Acts 21:1).  This is part of the reason that he operated in all of the gifts of the Spirit of Truth so that he could distinguish them from each other (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).  This is part of the reason that he had an abundance of revelations (2 Corinthians 12:1-7).  This part of the reason that he could write scripture that was hard for Peter the Jew (Cephas aka Simon aka Simeon) and the other Apostles of Truth to understand (2 Peter 3:15-16).  This is part of the reason that he wrote more books of the Book of Truth than anyone else.

Who else ate the breakfast of champions?

Peter the Jew chose to spend time praying on the roof while lunch was being prepared and continued to do so until he became very hungry (Acts 10:9-10).  It was while fasting that he heard the Father of Truth in a vision (Acts 10:10-16).  While he was still fasting on the roof he heard the Spirit of Truth clearly tell him to go with men that Cornelius the Gentile had sent (Acts 10:17-20).  He then was told by the Father of Truth while he was fasting that this vision was about the Gentiles being made clean from sin without first becoming Jews through circumcision contrary to every tradition that he had been raised in (Acts 10:28-29).  Cornelius the Gentile had also been fasting when he was told by an Angel of Truth to send for Peter the Jew before Peter the Jew had been given his vision (Acts 10:30-33).  Then while Peter the Jew then was preaching the Good News to Cornelius and the other Gentiles they were baptized in the Spirit of Truth to prove that the visions that Peter the Jew and Cornelius the Gentile had while fasting really were from the Father of Truth (Acts 10:44-47).  So the Good News was first brought to the Gentiles because Peter the Jew and Cornelius the Gentile had both eaten the breakfast of champions.  The vision of Peter the Jew that he had while fasting had nothing to do with food as further explained in I Did Not Mean That.

In similar manner many of champions in the Book of Truth had incredible encounters with the Father of Truth and did incredible things by the power of the Spirit of Truth after they had eaten the breakfast of champions.

Moses received the Law of Truth the first time during a forty day fast (Exodus 24:12-18).  Then he had to go up Mount Sinai to receive the Law of Truth again after it had been broken (Exodus 34:1-2).  Moses received the Law of Truth the second time during another forty day fast (Exodus 34:27-29).  The Law of Truth began to operate when Moses ate the breakfast of champions!

Elijah (Eliyahu) in like manner went up to Mount Sinai (Mount Horeb) as the result of a forty day fast (1 Kings 19:5-8).  It was while living in a cave in Mount Sinai that Elijah heard the voice of the Spirit of Truth so he could find the strength and vision to finish his mission of overcoming the evil rulers of the kingdom of Israel (1 Kings 19:9-19).  The kingdom of Israel was delivered from evil rulers when Elijah ate the breakfast of champions!

King Jehoshaphat lead the kingdom of Judah in fasting when an overwhelming force came against his kingdom (2 Chronicles 20:2-4).  They were delivered without even having to fight (2 Chronicles 20:15-17).  The kingdom of Judah was saved because they ate the breakfast of champions!

Daniel fasted when he wanted to know what would happen to the Jews after the seventy years of captivity was over (Daniel 9:2-4).  The Angel of Truth Gabriel was sent to show him that the kingdom of Judah would be restored, Jerusalem would be rebuilt, the second Temple would be built, the Man of Truth would die to atone for the sins of others, the second Temple would be destroyed by the people of the Man of Lies (The Antichrist aka The Beast), the Man of Lies would rise up in power to confirm a peace treaty to protect the nation of Israel, and then the Man of Lies would break that treaty by turning against the nation of Israel when he desecrates the third temple (Daniel 9:2-4).  Daniel then fasted again for three weeks to know the rest of the story (Daniel 10:1-3).  He was visited by another Angel of Truth who told him the rest of the story (Daniel 10:12-14).  He was told that the Man of Lies would come to a sudden end that no one could help him escape (Daniel 11:41-45).  He was told that the time of trouble for the Jewish people would finally be over (Daniel 12:1).  Daniel saw the entire future of the Jewish people and the nation of Israel because he ate the breakfast of champions.

Ezra lead the returning captives in fasting to secure safe passage to Jerusalem so they could build the second Temple (Ezra 8:21-23).  Nehemiah fasted to obtain favor from the king so he could lead the returning captives in rebuilding the city of Jerusalem (Nehemiah 1:1-4).  Nehemiah lead the Jews in fasting to rededicate themselves to keeping the Law of Truth (Nehemiah 9:1-3).  Mordecai and Esther lead the Jews in Shushan in fasting to obtain favor from the king and save the Jews throughout the Persian empire from being exterminated (Esther 4).  Another holiday was added to the Biblical calendar to commemorate the deliverance that came from fasting (Esther 9:30-32).  The nation of Israel was restored and the stage was set for the Man of Truth because these Children of Truth ate the breakfast of champions!

The Man of Truth was also lead by the Spirit of Truth to go on a forty day fast to overcome the Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) (Matthew 4:1-11).  He began to preach repentance after this fast (Matthew 4:12-17).  He began to preach the Good News after this fast (Mark 1:12-15).   He began to operate in the power of the Spirit of Truth after this fast (Luke 4:13-19).  The Renewed Covenant (B'rit Chadashah aka New Testament) began to operate when the Man of Truth ate the breakfast of champions!

Paul the Jew and Barnabas the Jew were sent out in the first mission to bring the Good News to the Gentiles in foreign countries after the prophets and teachers at Antioch had fasted (Acts 13:1-3).   The Renewed Covenant began to be spread across the world when these prophets and teachers ate the breakfast of champions!

Of course, just like those athletes on the Wheaties box, eating the breakfast of champions is not enough by itself to make us into champions.  We can only develop the gifts that the Father of Truth gives us (1 Corinthians 7:7).  We must be disciplined in every area of life to develop those gifts and become champions (1 Corinthians 9:25-26).  Eating the breakfast of champions only helps us do these things and is no substitute for these things.

The truth is that fasting does not change the Father of Truth (Malachi 3:6).  It certainly does not change the Father of Lies.  The breakfast of champions changes us.

It helps us get rid of unbelief so that we can operate in the authority that The Man of Truth gave us over the Spirits of Lies (devils aka demons aka unclean spirits aka gods) to deliver other people (Matthew 17:20-21).  It changes us so that we can have victory over every Spirit of Lies (Mark 9:28-29).  It changes us so that we can so we can more clearly hear the Spirit of Truth (Acts 13:2).

It changes us by helping us to put our bodies under the control of our spirits (1 Corinthians 9:27).   This makes it easier to be lead by the Spirit of Truth so that we become more like the Man of Truth (2 Corinthians 3:18).  When we become more like the Man of Truth then we become closer to His Father (Colossians 1:13-15).  This is why I call fasting the breakfast of champions.

So you can start getting all of these benefits by fasting on the Day of Atonement and any other day that the Spirit of Truth leads you to eat the breakfast of champions.  You will even get these benefits if you fast twice a week out of habit provided that your zeal to do so is based on the knowledge of the truth (Romans 10:1-3).

The truth is there is no benefit to eating the breakfast of champions unless you first decide to come into the House of Truth (Isaiah 58:3-7).  The Day of Atonement is really about knowing the Man of Truth who paid for your atonement with his own blood so you could come into the House of Truth (Hebrews 10:12-14).  You can come into the House of Truth to eat the breakfast of champions by putting every area of your life under the discipline of the Man of Truth because you believe that His Father raised him from the dead (Romans 10:4-9).
