The Better Passover

Have you observed the better Passover?

Every year millions of Jewish families gather together to eat a very special dinner called the Seder.  Seder literally means "order".  The reason this special meal is called a Seder is because it is a centered around a special plate of food called the Seder plate.  The food on the Seder plate is eaten one item at a time in a particular order along with four cups of grape juice or wine that are drank in a particular order.

The food items and the cups of wine are drank in the order that they appear in the Haggadah.  The Haggadah is a book whose name literally means "the telling".

The telling is the telling of the deliverance of the Israelites from Egyptian bondage called the Exodus.  As the telling progresses at certain points in the story everyone eats a particular item from their Seder plate or drinks one of the four cups of wine.

The telling is an interactive story where everyone participates.  The telling is not dinner and a show.  Dinner is part of the show and everyone at the table is putting on the show.  When the telling occurs it is meant to be a sort of "you are there" experience.

The highlight of the telling is the dreadful last plague, the plague of death, where all of the first born were slain except for those in the houses that had the blood of a lamb on the posts around the front door.  The houses with the blood on the doorposts were passed over when the plague of death came.  The death of the lamb had saved the first born in those houses from being slain.  It was this dreadful plague that finally caused Pharaoh to let the Israelites leave Egypt.

Afterwards the Israelites were commanded to have a feast to commemorate their deliverance from Egyptian bondage year after year, generation after generation, century after century (Exodus 12:24-25).  This Feast of Truth is called "Pesach" (Passover) because everyone who had the blood of the lamb on their door was "passed over" when the first born were killed in the plague of death (Exodus 12:26-27).  So for more than 3,500 years Jewish families have gathered together on the night when the Passover occurred to read the Haggadah and eat the Seder meal.

This Feast of Truth is the only first act in the Greatest Play Ever but it is the highest of all of the Feasts of Truth.  It is so important that if someone is unable to participate for some reason then they are to observe Passover one month later on the same day of the month (Numbers 9:10-12).  It is the only Feast of Truth that has an official make up holiday.  Remembering the death of the lamb at Passover is just that important.

Still as important as observing Passover is for Jewish families there is a better Passover that eclipses the original Passover.

In the original Passover each household had to supply itself with a lamb without blemish (Exodus 12:3-5).  In the better Passover the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) supplied the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ) as the one and only Lamb that was without blemish (John 1:36).

In the original Passover the lambs were to be slain by the entire congregation of Israel (Exodus 12:6).  In the better Passover the Lamb was slain by the congregation of the Jews and the Gentiles (Acts 4:24-28).

In the original Passover the blood of the lambs was applied to the vertical and horizontal pieces of wood that formed the doorposts (Exodus 12:7).  In the better Passover the blood of Lamb was applied to the vertical and horizontal pieces of wood that formed the cross (Colossians 1:19-20).

In the original Passover the lambs were to be eaten, that is applied to the inside, of those who wanted to be delivered from the slavery of Egypt (Exodus 12:8).  In the better Passover the Lamb is to be eaten, that is applied to the inside, of those who want to be delivered from the slavery of sin (John 6:53-57).

In the original Passover the lambs were to completely destroyed by fire after death (Exodus 12:9-10).  In the better Passover the Lamb was completely destroyed by fire in Hell after death (Psalm 86:13).  (This explained in more detail in the post about the four busy days that the Man of Truth had from time of the Last Supper until he appeared to his disciples on the day that he rose from the dead.)

In the original Passover judgment was swiftly brought upon the Spirits of Lies (devils aka demons aka unclean spirits aka gods) who ruled over Egypt by deception (Exodus 12:11-12).  In the better Passover judgment was swiftly brought upon the Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) who rules over the entire Earth by deception (John 16:7-11).

In the original Passover the blood of the lambs marked those who were redeemed from the destruction that would come upon Egypt (Exodus 12:13).  In the better Passover the blood of the Lamb marks those who are redeemed from the destruction that will come upon the whole world (1 Peter 1:18-20).

In the original Passover the death of the lambs brought about the end of leaven for Israel (Exodus 12:14-20).  In the better Passover the death of Lamb brought about the end of sin for the whole world (John 1:29).

In the original Passover the blood of many lambs was applied to bring about deliverance from physical death (Exodus 12:21-22).  In the better Passover the blood of the one and only Lamb was applied to bring about deliverance from eternal death (1 Peter 1:2-5).

In the original Passover the blood of the lambs was applied to doors of the houses to keep destruction out (Exodus 12:23).  In the better Passover the blood of the Lamb is applied to the door of the heart to let salvation in (Revelation 3:19-21).

The original Passover is only to be observed by those who have come into the house of Israel (Exodus 12:42-47).  The better Passover is only to be observed by those who have come into the House of Truth (Hebrews 13:8-10).

The original Passover is only for those who have been circumcised in their flesh (Exodus 12:48-49).  The better Passover is only for those who have been circumcised in their heart (Colossians 2:10-12).

The original Passover made it possible for the Children of Israel to become servants to the Father of Truth in the Original Covenant (Tanach aka The Old Testament) (Exodus 12:28-32).  The better Passover made it possible for all people to become children of the Father of Truth in the Renewed Covenant (B'rit Chadashah aka The New Testament) (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

While supernatural deliverance of the people of Israel from the bondage of Egypt is something that should be remembered year after year by those whose ancestors were delivered it is still only a faint shadow of the supernatural deliverance of the entire human race from the bondage of sin.

The circumcision of the flesh does have some benefits and is definitely a cut above the rest of ways that people mark themselves in the flesh. Still the circumcision of the heart is the better circumcision.  In the same way the death of the lambs in the original Passover cannot compare to the death of the Lamb in the better Passover.  Removing the leaven in the original Passover cannot compare to removing sin in the the better Passover.

The better Passover is better in every way because it allows people to live with the Father of Truth in the House of Truth (Hebrews 7:19).

The better Passover initiated a better covenant because it is based on the Lamb that the lambs of the original Passover only pictured (Hebrews 7:22).  This better Passover brought about a better covenant that contains better promises than the Original Covenant that was brought about by the original Passover (Hebrews 8:6).

The Original Covenant had a fault that made it necessary for a better covenant to take its place (Hebrews 8:7).  The Father of Truth found fault with those whom He had made the Original Covenant in that they did not keep it so He said that He would make the Renewed Covenant with them instead (Hebrews 8:8-9).  The Father of Truth said that in the Renewed Covenant He would write the Law of Truth (Torah aka The Law) on their hearts so they could come into the House of Truth (Hebrews 8:10).  They would live in the House of Truth with Him because they would under a better covenant that obsoletes the Original Covenant that was based upon the Law of Truth being written on stone (Hebrews 8:11-13).

The better Passover is better because the Lamb did not stay dead.  The Man of Truth was raised from the dead just like the raising of the Firstfruits.  The resurrection of the Lamb is the assurance that the better Passover brought about a better deliverance so we can come into the House of Truth (Romans 1:1-6).

Everyone who surrenders control of their life to the Man of Truth because they believed that the Father of Truth raised the Lamb of the better Passover from the dead will come into the House of Truth (Romans 10:8-10).  Everyone can benefit from the better Passover whether or not they are qualified to observe the original Passover (Romans 10:11-13).  Everyone can have sin removed from their lives by the Lamb of the better Passover that is eaten in the House of Truth (1 Corinthians 5:6-8).  Everyone can overcome the Father of Lies by the blood of the Lamb of the better Passover that can only be eaten in the House of Truth (Revelation 12:10-11).

Come into the House of Truth.

The Death of The Lamb

What does Passover have to do with the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ)?

Every year Jewish families all over the world celebrate Pesach (Passover).  Some go on vacation while others attend special services at the synagogue.  Over the centuries, Jews who were scattered to throughout the world have developed a number of traditions in observing Passover.  Some feature roasted lamb while others only have a shank bone from a lamb on the Seder plate.  To the Jews there can be no celebration of Passover without the death of the lamb.

In similar manner when I lived in Greece the Greeks would roast a lamb whole when they celebrated the death of the Man of Truth as part of Greek Easter, which they literally called "Passover".  I asked my landlords why the Greeks did this and they told me that the Apostles of Truth had told them to do this every year at the same time.  To the Greeks there can be no celebration of the resurrection without the death of the lamb.

Could have the Apostles of Truth really told the Greeks to roast a lamb whole every year on the same day as Passover to commemorate the death of the Man of Truth?

Many of the Apostles of Truth went to Greece - especially Corinth that was the capital of Achaia (southern Greece) at the time.  Paul the Jew (Shaul aka Saul) went to Corinth (Acts 18:1). Peter the Jew (Cephas) went to Corinth (1 Corinthians 1:12).  The physical brothers of the Man of Truth, who were all Jews, and some of the other Apostles of Truth, who were also all Jews, went to Corinth along with their wives (1 Corinthians 9:5).  John the Jew (Yochanon) was the famous Apostle that went to Corinth (2 Corinthians 8:18).

Why would they tell the Greeks to roast a lamb whole every year on the same day as Passover?

The first question that must be answered is: What is Passover?

The Father of Truth made known His plan to deliver the children of Israel from the bondage of Pharaoh in Egypt (Exodus 11:1).  The Father of Truth announced death upon every household in Egypt (Exodus 11:4-6).  However, there was a plan for the salvation of the children of Israel that was hidden from the king of Egypt (Exodus 11:7-9).

A lamb was to dwell among the children of Israel for a little over three days (Exodus 12:3-5). Then on the fourteenth day of the first month, the day of preparation, the children of Israel were to assemble together to bring about the death of the lamb (Exodus 12:6).

The blood of the lamb stained the wooden posts of their doors upon its death (Exodus 12:7).  After the lamb was dead it was to be roasted with fire and consumed completely until none remained (Exodus 12:8-10).  The children of Israel were saved from wrath due the blood that came from the death of the lamb (Exodus 12:13).

How are the Children of Israel to remember the death of the lamb?

The children of Israel were to do this every year at the same time to remember their deliverance (Exodus 12:14).  Only those who had been circumcised in the flesh were to eat at the feast of the lamb (Exodus 12:43-45).  Those that were circumcised were to remain in the house with the lamb who had not one bone that was broken (Exodus 12:46).  All that were circumcised in the flesh were to eat at the feast of the lamb (Exodus 12:47).  Those that were uncircumcised in the flesh had to become circumcised in the flesh in order to come into the house and join in the feast of the lamb (Exodus 12:48-49).  It was only those that were circumcised that could come into the house because of the death of the lamb.

What does Passover have to do with the Man of Truth?

Passover is the first act of The Greatest Play Ever. The Man of Truth is the Lamb that took away the sins of the world (John 1:29)!  To the Children of Truth there can be no celebrating Passover without the death of the Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7).

The Father of Truth has made known His plan to deliver the Children of Truth from the bondage of the Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan aka The Devil) in sin (Hebrews 2:14-15).   The Father of Truth has announced death for everyone that is in sin (Romans 5:12).  However, there was a plan of salvation for the Children of Truth that was hidden from the rulers of this world (1 Corinthians 2:6-8).

The Lamb came and dwelt among the children of Israel for a little over three decades (Luke 3:21-23). Then on the fourteenth day of the first month, the day of preparation, the children of Israel assembled together to bring about the death of the Lamb (John 19:30-31).

The blood of the Lamb stained the wooden posts of his cross upon his death (Colossians 1:20).  After the Lamb died he was consumed in the fires of Hell (Acts 2:26-28).  The Children of Truth are saved from wrath due the blood that came from the death of the Lamb (Romans 5:8-9).

How do the Children of Truth remember the death of the Lamb?

The Children of Truth are to commemorate it at the same time every year to remember their deliverance (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).  Only those who have been circumcised in the heart can eat at the feast of the Lamb (Colossians 2:10-12).  Those that are circumcised in the heart are to remain in the house of Truth with the Lamb who had not one bone that was broken (John 19:33-36).  All that are circumcised in the heart will eat at the feast of the Lamb (Revelation 19:9).  Those that were uncircumcised in the heart have to become circumcised in the heart in order to come into the House of Truth and join in the feast of the lamb (Romans 2:25-29).  It is only those that are circumcised in the heart that can come into the House of Truth because of the death of the Lamb.

The Father of Truth will circumcise the heart of anyone that will come into the House of Truth (Deuteronomy 30:6).  Anyone that will surrender control of their life to the Lamb because they believe that His Father raised him from the dead will come into the House of Truth (Romans 10:8-10).  You do not need to be circumcised in the flesh to come into the House of Truth (Romans 10:11-13).  To come into the House of Truth you have to be redeemed by the death of the Lamb (1 Peter 1:18-20).

Come into the House of Truth.

Have you been passed over?

When is good to be passed over?

Have you ever worked hard to get a promotion only for it to be given to someone else?  Have you ever pursued a job that went to someone else?  Have you ever been the last one picked in school for a team?  Have you ever not made the team?

Have you been passed over?

Is being passed over always a bad thing?  In the Nazi death camps, sometimes the prisoners would be lined up and a Nazi officer go down the line to call prisoners out of the line.  Sometimes they would pass over one prisoner and call out the prisoners on each side of that prisoner.  The prisoners that had been called out were then executed.  The prisoners may not have known it that day but they had all been marked for death but some were passed over.  It was good to have been passed over.

Have you been passed over?

The Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) was with the enemies of those that oppressed the Jews and ultimately Germany paid a high price for their mistreatment of the Jews.  Their water, their food supplies, their health, and their wealth were destroyed by those that the Father of Truth had raised up against Germany.  Germany lost twenty million people in WWII.  Germany lost one third of its population just as they had killed one in three Jews in the countries involved in the war.  Much of this death occurred through the carpet bombing of cities by the US Air Force.  The US Air Force had marked ever city in Germany for death but some were passed over.  It was good to have been passed over.

Have you been passed over?

In like manner, the Book of Truth (The Bible) tells of a time when people in Egypt were marked for death but some were passed over.  Like Germany those in Egypt were also jealous of the blessing of the Father of Truth that was on the Jews (Exodus 1:9).  Those in Egypt also held the Jews against their will and forced them into hard labor (Exodus 1:10-11).

The Father of Truth brought deliverance to the Jews in Egypt just as he had done in Germany.  The Father of Truth polluted the water of those that oppressed the Jews (Exodus 7:19-21).  The Father of Truth destroyed the food supplies of those that oppressed the Jews (Exodus 9:3-7).  The Father of Truth destroyed the health of those that oppressed the Jews (Exodus 9:8-11).  The Father of Truth destroyed the wealth of those that oppressed the Jews (Exodus 11:2-3).  The Father of Truth marked for death the firstborn of everyone in Egypt (Exodus 11:4-6).  The Father of Truth killed all that were marked for death (Exodus 12:29-30).

However, the Father of Truth made a way for those that had been marked for death to be passed over.

A lamb was to live among the Jews so that it would be familiar to them and then slain by them (Exodus 12:3-6).  They were to place the blood of the lamb on the door frame of their house (Exodus 12:7).  They were to eat the flesh of the lamb so they could be passed over  (Exodus 12:8-10).  They were to be ready to leave Egypt at any moment (Exodus 12:11)  The Father of Truth, not some Angel of Death, would pass over anyone that had been marked for death but was in the house that had been marked by the blood of the lamb (Exodus 12:12-13).  It was good to have been passed over.

Have you been passed over?

This opportunity to be passed over was first announced to the Jews but was available to anyone that would obey the instructions.  Those Gentiles that had feared the Father of Truth had escaped destruction before (Exodus 9:18-21).  The Jews that had been marked for death could only be saved by remaining in the house that had been marked by the blood of the lamb (Exodus 12:21-23).  Those Gentiles from many nations that had been marked for death but had heeded the warning of the Father of Truth were also passed over and left Egypt with the Jews (Exodus 12:37-39).  The Father of Truth had made no difference between the Jews that obeyed Him and the Gentiles that obeyed Him for He passed over all that obeyed Him.  It was good to have been passed over.

Have you been passed over?

All those that had came from those who were passed over were to celebrate being passed over forever as if they were personally being passed over (Exodus 12:14).   There was to be no leaven in their houses when they celebrated (Exodus 12:15-20).  Only those Jews that had been circumcised could celebrate being passed over (Exodus 12:43-45).  Only those that were in the house could partake of the lamb that caused them to be passed over and none of its bones could be broken (Exodus 12:46).  All that were circumcised were to celebrate being passed over (Exodus 12:47).  Any Gentile that wanted to celebrate being passed over had to be joined to the nation of Israel by being circumcised (Exodus 12:48).  There was no difference between the Jews and the Gentiles that wanted to celebrate being passed over (Exodus 12:49).  It was good to have been passed over.

Have you been passed over?

The truth is that we have all been marked for death because of our disobedience to the Father of Truth (Romans 5:12).  All that have been marked for death will be killed by the Father of Truth (Revelation 21:8).

However, the Father of Truth has made a way for those that have been marked for death to be passed over.  The Father of Truth sent a lamb, the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ), so we could be passed over (John 1:29).

The Man of Truth lived among the Jewish people so that he was familiar to them (Matthew 13:54-56).  The Man of Truth was slain by those that were familiar with him (1 Thessalonians 2:14-15).  Those Jews that believed the Man of Truth would be like those that ate the flesh of the lamb so they could be passed over (John 6:57-63).   Those that are passed over are to be ready to leave the Earth at any moment (Matthew 24:42-44). The Father of Truth, not the Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan aka The Devil), will pass over those that had been marked for death but have came into the House of Truth that is marked by the blood of the lamb (John 3:36).  It is good to be passed over.

Have you been passed over?

This opportunity to be passed over was first announced to the Jews but it is available to anyone that will obey the instructions (Acts 26:20).  Those Gentiles that had feared the Father of Truth had escaped destruction before (Joshua 2:18-19).  The Jews that have been marked for death can only be saved by remaining in the house that had been marked by the blood of the lamb (Acts 4:10-12). Those Gentiles from many nations that had been marked for death but heed the warning of the Father of Truth will also be saved (Acts 11:17-18).  The Father of Truth had made no difference between the Jews that obey Him and the Gentiles that obey Him for He passes over all that obeyed Him (Romans 3:29-30).  It is good to be passed over.

Have you been passed over?

Those that have been passed over are to celebrate forever (Luke 22:15-20).  There is to be no leaven, that is to say sin, in the house of our lives (1 Corinthians 5:6-8).  Only those Jews that had been circumcised in their heart can celebrate being passed over (Romans 2:28-29).  Only those in the House of Truth can partake of the Man of Truth that causes them to be passed over (John 15:4-6).  The Man of Truth is the lamb whose bones were not broken (John 19:33-36).  All that are circumcised in their heart are to celebrate being passed over (1 Corinthians 11:23-25).  Anyone that wants to celebrate being passed over has to be joined to Israel by having their heart circumcised (Ephesians 2:11-13).  There was no difference between the Jews and the Gentiles that want to celebrate being passed over (Romans 10:12-13).  It is good to be passed over.

Have you been passed over?

If not, then you can experience the true passover that the one in Egypt was only a shadow of (Hebrews 10:1).  You need to come into the House of Truth, rather you are a Jew or a Gentile, to be passed over by submitting yourself to the Man of Truth because you believe that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9-11).

Come into the House of Truth.
