Living To Please The King

What brings about the favor of the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD)?

There is no plainer way to answer this question, than to consider the two queens, who were married to the King of Persia.

The first queen was Queen Vashti, who made a feast with her own friends, instead of feasting with the King of Persia (Esther 1:5-9).  Then the King of Persia commanded Queen Vashti, to be in the presence of himself, and his advisers, but Queen Vashti refused to obey his command (Esther 1:10-12). The King of Persia asked his advisers, what to do about a queen, who was not living to please the king (Esther 1:13-15).  One of his advisers, said that the queen had to be punished, for her refusal to obey his command, otherwise, the queen of every home throughout Persia, would stop living to please the king of their home (Esther 1:16-18).  So the King of Persia, put out Queen Vashti from the royal city, and a search was made for a new queen, who would show what it means, to be living to please the king (Esther 1:19-22).

After this, the search began for a new queen, who would show what it means, to be living to please the king (Esther 2:1-4).  Among those brought in to compete for the position of the new Queen of Persia, was Esther, who obtained favor with the keeper of the unmarried women, because she showed, that she would be living to please the king (Esther 2:7-9).  Each unmarried women went to the king, on her wedding night, so he could determine, who was living to please the king (Esther 2:12-14).  When Esther went in on her wedding night, she only wore what pleased the king, and proved that she was living to please the king, so the King of Persia made her the new Queen of Persia (Esther 2:15-17).

Later, Queen Esther was told of a plot, to get the King of Persia to destroy her people, throughout his kingdom (Esther 4:7-9).  Queen Esther was concerned, about appearing before the king uninvited, because he had not seen her in thirty days, and she would be killed for doing so, unless he held out his golden scepter (Esther 4:10-12).  Queen Esther was told, that she had been made queen to save her people, so she decided to go before the king uninvited, and hoped that he would show her favor, because she had been living to please the king (Esther 4:13-16).

So Queen Esther appeared before the King of Persia, in the presence of his advisers, and he held out the golden scepter for her to live, because he knew, that she had been living to please the king (Esther 5:1-2).  When the king asked her, what he could do for her, she invited him, and the man, who plotted to destroy her people, to eat at the feast, that she had prepared for the king (Esther 5:3-4).  After the king ate the food, that had been prepared because it pleased him, he asked Queen Esther, what he could do for her, a second time (Esther 5:5-6).  Then she invited the king, and the man, who plotted to destroy her people, to come, and eat the food that pleased the king, the next day, when she would make her request known (Esther 5:7-8).

The next night, Queen Esther again ate the food that pleased the king, with the King of Persia, and the man, who plotted to destroy her people (Esther 7:1).  When the king asked for her request this time, she asked him, to save her people, and her, from the plot of the man, who ate with them (Esther 7:2-6).  So the king destroyed the man, who plotted to destroy her people (Esther 7:7-10).

Esther then appeared before the King of Persia uninvited, for a second time, to ask him to put an end to the plot, to destroy her people, and he again held out his scepter to her (Esther 8:3-6).  Then the king sent out his word, to destroy those, who came against her people (Esther 8:7-13).  So her people were saved, from those who sought to destroy them (Esther 9:1-16).  Then the Feast of Purim was established, to remind everyone, that Queen Esther had brought salvation to her people, because she had been living to please the king (Esther 9:17-32).

So Queen Vashti lost favor with the King of Persia, because she had been living to please herself.  This is why, she did not seek to have the King of Persia to eat with her, and why she did not obey his commandment, even though she lived in the house of the king.  As a result of her actions, she was thrust out from the presence of the king.  The key to losing favor, was living to please herself.

On the other hand, Queen Esther won favor with the King of Persia, because she had not been living to please herself.  This is why, she wore what pleased the king, why she did what pleased the king in sex, and why she sought out the king, to eat the food that pleased the king, with the king.  As a result of her actions, she was exalted in the presence of the king.  The key to gaining favor, was living to please the king.

This story is about more than just two Queens of Persia, who lived long ago.  It is about a pattern, that echoes throughout the ages.

The stubborn rebellion of Queen Vashti against the commandment of the King of Persia, was like witchcraft and idolatry against the Father of Truth, that caused her to be rejected as queen (1 Samuel 15:23).  The seeking out of Queen Esther, to do what was pleasing to the King of Persia, is what caused her to be chosen as queen (Proverbs 17:2).

It is the same with the Father of Lies (HaShatan aka Satan Aka The Devil) and the Man of Truth (Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus Christ).

The Father of Lies lost favor with the King of the Universe, because he was living to please himself (Isaiah 14:12-14).  This is why, the Father of Lies rebelled against the commandment of the King, even though he lived in the house of the King (Ezekiel 28:13-15).  As a result of his actions, he was thrust out from the presence of the King (Ezekiel 28:16-17).  The key to losing favor, was living to please himself.

The Man of Truth won favor with the King of the Universe, because he was not living to please himself (John 5:30).  This is why, the Man of Truth did what pleased the King, even to the point of dying on the cross (Philippians 2:5-8).  As a result of his actions, he was exalted in the presence of the King (Philippians 2:9-11).  The key to gaining favor, was living to please the King.

Since the Man of Truth gained favor with the King of the Universe, the King sent out His Word, to destroy the sin, that came against his people (Acts 10:36-43).  So his people were saved, from the sin that sought to destroy them (Romans 11:26-27).  Then the feast of communion was established, to remind everyone, that the Man of Truth had brought salvation to his people, because he had been living to please the King (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

It is the same with us.  You will either be like Vashti or like Esther.

If you are like Vashti, you will do whatever pleases yourself, even if you are living in the house of the King.

If you are like Esther, you will eat what pleases the King, with the King (1 Corinthians 10:16-21).  If you are like Esther, you will wear what pleases the King (1 Timothy 2:9).  If you are like Esther, you conduct yourself in sex, in a way that pleases the King (Hebrews 13:4).

It is this way for everyone, for the King does not show favoritism to anyone (Romans 2:5-11).

Everyone will lose favor with the King of the Universe, if they are living to please themselves (Matthew 7:21-23).  This will be why, they will rebel against the commandments of the King, even though they are living in the house of the King (2 Peter 2:18-22).  As a result of their actions, they will be thrust out from the presence of the King (Revelation 22:11-15).  The key to losing favor, is living to please yourself.

Everyone will win favor with the King of the Universe, if they are living to please the King (John 12:26).  This will be why, they will do what pleases the King (Romans 6:16-18).  As a result of their actions, they will be exalted in the presence of the King (Revelation 22:3-5).  The key to gaining favor, is living to please the King.

Since the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) gain favor with the King of the Universe, the King sends out His Word through them, to destroy the sin, that comes against other people (Mark 16:15-16).  So other people are saved, from the sin that seeks to destroy them (James 5:20).  Then the marriage supper of the Lamb will be established, to remind everyone, that the Children of Truth have brought salvation to others, because they were living to please the King (Revelation 19:6-9).

When you come into the House of Truth, you stop living to please yourself (Matthew 16:24-26).  When you come into the House of Truth, you start living to please the King, because you believe that He raised the Man of Truth from the dead (Romans 10:9).  When you come into the House of Truth, the Father of Truth will help you, to continue living to please the King (Philippians 2:12-15).

Come into the House of Truth!
