The Persian Regathering

Will President Trump cause the Persians to be regathered?

In the days leading up to the showdown between President Trump and the Ayatollah Khomeini I have heard and seen people talking about this fulfilling Bible prophecy.  Generally, they say that the people of Iran have been scattered in exile and President Trump destroying the regime of the Ayatollah Khomeini will cause that exile to end.

They usually say that this is foretold in Jeremiah (Yermiyahu) chapter 49.  Sometimes they will also say this about the ceasing of sighing foretold in Isaiah (Yeshayahu) chapter 21.

The first step to understanding these passages is knowing the ethnic groups referenced in them.  Then we can compare that to the modern country of Iran and the current situation with President Trump.

In the days of Esther, Ahasuerus ruled over a vast empire that was controlled by two ethnic groups – the Persians and the Medes (Esther 1:1-3).  These two ethnic group shared power with a king from one ethnic group and seven advisers from both ethnic groups (Esther 1:13-14).

They operated under a complicated set of protocols to provide stability across their vast empire that even the king had to abide by (Esther 1:15-18).  Whenever the king made a new law, not even he could change it later (Esther 1:19-22).

However, there was division between these two ethnic groups over who should be king.  First one side rose up to take over the Babylonian empire, and then the other side rose up to rule over their joint empire (Daniel 7:1-5).  The power of these two ethnic groups – the Medes and Persians – came from them working together (Daniel 8:20).

So, Darius the Mede took over the Babylonian Empire and split it with the Persians (Daniel 5:28-31).  He was the first to rule over the Medo-Persian empire (Daniel 6:1-2). Shortly after that, Cyrus the Persian became ruler over the Medo-Persian empire (Daniel 6:28).

So, there is this need for these two ethnic groups to work together while also having internal struggles for control.  This struggle has continued into modern times and requires identifying these two ethnic groups more clearly to understand this struggle.

The Medes were descendants of Madai – who was the closely related to the descendants of Meshech (who Moscow is named for) – as well as other lighter skin ethnic groups who first settled in the northern third of Asia and across Europe (Genesis 10:1-5).  The palace was located in Achmetha when the Medes ruled the Medo-Persian Empire (Ezra 6:1-2).

Members of this ethnic group today are called Iranians. The Ayatollah Khomeini is a Mede.

The Persians who worked with the Medes were also known as descendants of Elam (Jeremiah 25:25).  The province of Elam is where Shushan (Susa) the palace was located when the Persians ruled the Medo-Persian Empire  (Daniel 8:2).  Today, province of Elam is next to the Persian Gulf, which is named after it.

The Persians are descendants of Elam – who was closely related to Aram (whose descendants are Armenians) – as well other medium skin ethnic groups who first settled in the southern two thirds of Asia and the Western Hemisphere (Genesis 10:22-31).  Members of this ethnic group are still called Persians today.  The son of the deposed Shah that lives in exile in the United States is a Persian.

Before the family of the Shah was deposed, the Ayatollah Khomeini lived in exile in Moscow.  The Ayatollah Khomeini took control of the modern country of Iran with the help of the Russians.  The name Iran reflects that the country is under the rule of the Medes.

Today, the protesters in Iran are calling for the son of the Shah to return to rule and displaying the Persian flag.  If the son of the Shah returns to power, then the country will return to being called Persia to reflect that the country is again under Persian rule.

President Trump is leading America in making that possible.  The son of the Shah wants to bring peace and prosperity to his own country instead impoverishing his country to bring death to America.

President Trump tried hard to force the regime of the Ayatollah Khomeini to make a deal to end their pursuit of the destruction of America with crippling economic sanctions to no avail.  He offered to help them make Iran great again if they would give up their nuclear ambitions, but they were not interested.

President Trump could not understand why these things did not work.  This would have worked if he was dealing Europeans, but it will never work with the Iranians.  When they are set on bringing destruction to others, they cannot be persuaded to end their pursuit by economic means (Isaiah 13:17-18).

So, President Trump has begun an air war as a winged leopard that has struck the regime of the Ayatollah Khomeini hard, fast, and continuously (Daniel 7:5-6).  That is what Alexander the Great did to the Medo-Persian empire (Daniel 8:20-21).

If you shoot a bear, then you must kill it.  He must continue this war without letting up until this regime is completely destroyed (Daniel 8:6-7).

For this reason, people have said that President Trump is fulfilling the words of Isaiah by causing the sighing of the people of Iran – Persian and Mede alike – under the oppression of the Ayatollah Khomeini to cease (Isaiah 21:1-2).  However, this has nothing to do with President Trump but rather with the oppression of the Babylonians ceasing when the Persians and Medes destroyed Babylon (Isaiah 21:2-9).

In similar manner, Jeremiah 49 has nothing to do with President Trump.  One reason that people said that this is about him is because he destroyed the bows – the means to launch missiles – of the regime of the Ayatollah Khomeini (Jeremiah 49:35).

However, this attack did not come from all directions against Iran – but only from the west where Israel is located and from the south where the Persian Gulf is located - nor has it caused the Persians to be scattered among all nations (Jeremiah 49:36).  In fact, Persia has never been attacked on all four sides at once and had all of its inhabitants scattered among all nations to this day.

This will be the work of the Father of Truth (YHVH aka God aka THE LORD) in the future (Jeremiah 49:37).  When He does this, He will bring the land of the Persians under His rule and their wicked rulers will be completely destroyed (Jeremiah 49:38).

After this, he will regather the Persians and bring them back to their own land in the latter days (Jeremiah 49:39).  They will serve the Man of Truth (Yah'shau aka Yeshua HaMashiach aka Jesus) like all nations (Daniel 7:13-14).

In the last days, all nations will be ruled from the Man of Truth from his throne in Jerusalem and live in their own land in peace and prosperity (Micah 4:1-4).  He will set the Children of Truth (those who obey The Father of Truth because they love Him) upon the throne of each nation to rule it on his behalf (Revelation 2:26-27).

When the Spirit of Truth was poured out, there were people from Iran – Medes and Elamites – who worshiped the Father of Truth there (Acts 2:4-11).  Those who rule over every ethnic group will be those of that ethnic group who have been redeemed by the blood of the Man of Truth (Revelation 5:9-10).

People think we are in the last days when they look at the current wars, the prospects of other wars in the near future, and all kinds of disasters that are happening across the Earth, but these are only a preview of the last days of this age (Matthew 24:6-8).  The last days that end this age cannot begin until the Good News has been preached to every ethnic group (Matthew 24:14).

There are still many ethnic groups that have never heard the name of the Man of Truth still left on Earth.  Many of them are located in central Asia and the believers in Iran are positioned to reach them.

President Trump has also put on notice those who have been killing the Children of Truth in Africa.  In this way, he is being used by the Father of Truth to clear the way for unreached ethnic groups to be reached there as well.

However, President Trump cannot bring in the peace that only the Prince of Peace – the Man of Truth – will bring to the Middle East and the entire Earth (Isaiah 9:6-7).  The best that he can do is help prepare the way for the Good News of Peace to be brought to those who have never heard it (Romans 10:14-15).

True peace begins with the peace with the Father of Truth that comes through the Man of Truth (Romans 5:1-2).  President Trump and everyone else must surrender control of their lives to the Man of Truth because they believe that the Father of Truth raised him from the dead to be saved (Romans 10:9-13).

Come into the House of Truth!
